Abstract

The policy of implementing MBKM is hope for universities so that they can adapt well to changing times, have a more positive impact on society, and provide extensive opportunities for universities to contribute to society. Concerning the implementation of a curriculum in higher education institutions, paying attention to student perceptions is considered to be important for assessing the effectiveness of implementing the curriculum as a learning reference from the perspective of the recipient object. Therefore, research was conducted to explore students' perceptions of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. College students in East Java Province who have taken part in the Merdeka Curriculum program are the research population, and the sample is non-probability sampling with an accidental sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing quantitative data questionnaires. The collected data is then triangulated to compare data obtained from various parties to ensure trust. The research results concluded that students' perceptions of technical indicators in MBKM learning were positive. Furthermore, students' perceptions of the MBKM learning process indicators, which contain three sub-indicators (interaction, teaching materials, and assignments), show positive results on average. Then, students' perceptions of the MBKM learning evaluation indicators, which contain four sub-indicators (mid-semester exam, final semester exam, learning outcomes, and sustainability), also show positive results.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a rich culture and abundant natural resources. In the globalization era, local cultures are significantly fading due to the incoming influence of foreign cultures. Education is a tool to bridge knowledge and values embedded in a place to the community. Ethnoscience is an approach that connects local culture and scientific knowledge. This study uses an ethnoscience approach to preserve knowledge derived from natural potential in Indonesia. Integrating ethnoscience concepts in learning helps students improve their learning outcomes and master 21st-century skills that are relevant today. This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant. This module highlights the unique methods of planting Arabica coffee in the Ijen highlands. This study examines the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of using an ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant to improve learning outcomes of grade IV elementary students. This quantitative development research uses the ADDIE model, which contains analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes. The result of this research shows a 93% validity score. Effectivity score using N-Gain methods earns 79,2822 included in the effective category. Practicality score earns 94% including in excellent category. Based on this result. It can be concluded that the ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant is valid, effective, and practical to improve student learning outcomes for grade IV elementary school students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' motivation and learning outcomes in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subjects at SD Negeri Gelang 05. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was used. The research sample consisted of two classes of 25 students each, divided into an experimental group and a control group. Instruments included a learning motivation questionnaire, achievement tests, observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests with the help of SPSS 16.0. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes in both motivation and learning outcomes. Students in the experimental class scored higher on average in both areas compared to those in the control class. These findings indicate that the STEM-based PBL model is effective in enhancing students' motivation and learning outcomes. It is recommended as an innovative learning approach for IPAS instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

Desa Kuta, Kecamatan Pujut, Lombok Tengah, memiliki potensi besar di sektor kelautan, terutama dengan melimpahnya ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis). Namun, pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada konsumsi segar. Kegiatan KKN-PMD Universitas Mataram bertujuan meningkatkan nilai tambah melalui inovasi sambal ikan tongkol dan strategi usaha berkelanjutan. Melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang melibatkan Dinas Perindustrian dan UMKM, masyarakat Desa Kuta dibekali pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis dalam pengolahan dan pengemasan sambal ikan tongkol. Pembentukan kelompok usaha berkelanjutan diharapkan mendorong kemandirian ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Produk ini berpotensi menjadi oleh-oleh khas yang meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Responding to the increasing demand for 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking and science processes, in solving environmental issues. The study aims to develop and evaluate REPIDS-based electronic student worksheets to improve students' science process skills and critical thinking in the topic of environmental pollution among vocational high school students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method through the 4D model, which includes define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study was conducted up to the development stage and included part of the initial dissemination stage to assess the effectiveness of the product. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, classroom observation forms, and pre-test and post-test questions. Participants were tenth-grade vocational students selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using percentage scores for validity and practicality, and normalized gain scores (N-gain) to measure effectiveness. The results of the study indicate that the developed REPIDS-based electronic student worksheet meets the criteria of validity (content aspect of 92%, language aspect of 85%, and design aspect of 90%), practicality (85%), and effectiveness (N-gain of 0.65, medium criteria) in improving science process skills and critical thinking. REPIDS-based electronic student worksheet is recommended for wider use in science education to support meaningful and skill-oriented learning.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of work-life balance (WLB) in the relationship between workload and employee performance among couriers at J&T Express Sumber Cirebon Distribution Center. Using a quantitative approach, we collected data from 62 couriers through validated Likert-scale questionnaires measuring workload (time pressure, mental effort, physical demands), WLB (schedule flexibility, family support), and performance (productivity, reliability). Results from multiple regression analysis reveal that workload negatively impacts performance (β = -0.980, p < 0.001) due to physical/mental fatigue, yet paradoxically enhances WLB (β = 0.574, p < 0.001) through workplace flexibility. WLB partially mediates this relationship (Sobel Z = 2.014), improving performance (β = 0.284, p = 0.029) and explaining 45.9% of variance. These findings extend Job Demands-Resources theory by demonstrating WLB's dual role as both an outcome of workload and a buffer against its performance costs in high-pressure logistics environments. The study offers practical recommendations including dynamic shift scheduling and temporary staffing during peak periods, while suggesting future research explore additional mediators across broader logistics contexts.

Abstract

The secrecy principle in elections is enshrined in Law Number 7 of 2017 and other related regulations. However, in practice, its application is only enforced within the voting booth. Moreover, various external factors, such as advances in information technology and the presence of quick-count survey institutions, have contributed to the erosion of the secrecy principle in elections. This study aims to provide recommendations to legislative bodies and raise public awareness of the need to uphold the secrecy principle from the beginning of the election process through to its conclusion. The research adopts a normative juridical method, requiring the collection of both primary and secondary data, followed by an analytical process. Three theories are used: the theory of legal purpose, the theory of legislative hierarchy, and the theory of democracy. This article concludes that the secrecy principle as stated in Law Number 7 of 2017 is no longer relevant, emphasizing the need for legal reform to better align with Indonesia’s evolving dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze significant differences in the PhET (Physics Education Technology) with the use the Guided Inquiry model of in terms of students' cognitive abilities through science learning outcomes before and after being treated with PhET media using the Guided Inquiry model. The research method used quantitative methods of Quasi-Experimental type with Non-equivalent Control Group Design research design. The data collection tool used Pretest-Posttest questions totaling 25 items. The study population was all fifth grade students of SDN Tanggul Wetan 02, totaling 48 students. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the cognitive abilities of students who used PhET media assisted the Guided Inquiry model with the cognitive abilities of students who used conventional learning. There is a significant increase in cognitive abilities after being treated with the application of PhET media assisted by Guided Inquiry model with before being treated with the application of PhET media assisted by Guided Inquiry model. In general, there is a positive and significant effect (2 tailed) p = 0.513 > 0.05 from the application of PhET media using Guided Inquiry model in science practicum activities on the cognitive abilities of elementary school students.
