Abstract

AbstractSingular is the title of twelve tone serialism music composition implementated on the mixed ensemble. Twelve tone serialism music is one of the the therminology idiom of western music on Twentieth Century Music era, using 12 chromatic notes which is processed with constructive dan structural. The formulation idea in the composition are implementation twelve tone matrix serialism music, the application of tone row, the harmony processing and music form.  The creation stage refers to the systematic stages in the process of writing a musical work that is directly observed in musical instruments and observation some analysis results from the serialism music and some literature studies on the Twentieth Century Music era, exploration stage especially on technique of composition and also technique processing from musical instrument and evaluation phase at work process to the music player. This music creation method used composition creation approach in the creation of the composition, there are transference, syncretic, and synthesis. This work is expected to give some inovation and insight to development knowledge of especially on music Serialism Music as well as views in music composing trough the West Kalimantan traditional instrument and  western instrument. Keyword: Music Composition, Serialism Music,  Twelve Tone

Abstract

AbstractThe dance "TITLE" was inspired by the processes of a student in writing his/her thesis with various problems that occured. This type of dance was dramatic consisting of opening, content and closing stages which was arranged in such a way to produce a dance with a story line. Beginning with past events in the process of thesis preparation, with various problems both from outside even from within her/himself covered with anger, dizziness, chaos, frustration, sadness and pressure, so that at he end all the problems were successfully overcome. Then the thesis was done with a proud heart with his/her body covered by a toga stating that the student graduated and successfully attained a bachelor's degree. In this work of "TITLE", it also applied the methods in the creation phase into a dance work including exploration, processing, application, evaluation and revision. The presentation of this work showed an interesting aesthetic performance in terms of the dance performance and also the musical accompaniment, so that this work is not only a spectacle, but also an interesting art performance. This work also combined diverse and unique choreography. The choreography that used is inseparable from daily activities mixed with pure and meaningful movements. The work was considered in its presentation so that this final work "TITLE" is formed. Keyword : TITLE, method and creational process, dance analyzing.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang tari Jepin Tali Bintang di Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang struktur penyajian tari Jepin Tali Bintang di Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan koreografi, data penelitian berupa struktur penyajian tari Jepin Tali Bintang di Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat. Sumber data adalah Juhermi Thahir, M Yusuf Dahyani, dan Anwar Jafar. Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Alat pengumpul data adalah dengan lembar wawancara, panduan wawancara, camera handphone, dan buku catatan. Hasil dari penelitian Tari Jepin Tali Bintang memiliki struktur penyajian yang terdiri gerak awal, gerak tengah, dan gerak akhir. Selain itu, ada elemen-elemen tari yaitu desain lantai, desain atas, desain dramatik, dinamika, komposisi kelompok, tema, iringan musik, tata rias dan busana, properti, dan tempat pertunjukan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan dalam pelajaran Seni Budaya kelas VIII semester I. Kata Kunci : Struktur Penyajian, Tari Jepin Tali Bintang, Kota Pontianak   Abstract: The aim of this study is to give the understanding and knowledge about Jepin Tali Bintang dance in Pontianak. This study is about analyzing the structure of the arrangement on Japin Tali Bintang dance in Pontianak, West Borneo. The research design used in this study is descriptive, which is qualitative research design. In this study, the researcher use a choreography approach, the data in this study is the structure of the performances on Jepin Tali Bintang dance in Pontianak, West Borneo. The sources of data are Juhermi Thahi, M Yusuf Dahyani and Anwar Jafar. Techniques used in this study to collect the data are interview, observation, and documentation and the instruments used in this study are interview questions, interview guides, cell phone camera, and a field note.The results of this study on Jepin Tali Bintang dance have the structure of performances which are consists of the initial movements, middle movements and end of the movements. Besides, others elements in dance are floor designs, upper designs, dramatic designs, the dynamics of dance, the composition of the group, a theme, back sound,  dance properties, makeup and dress, and a venue.The results of this study are expected to be implemented in the Cultural and Arts lesson in class VIII semesters I. AbstractThe making process of Sape’ Ting Dua’, shortly, the instrument’s structure of Sape’ Ting Dua’ and its teqnique of Sape’ Ting Dua’ from Kayaan Mendalam tribe in Desa Datah Diaan that is the background of this writing. Specifically up to this point, this research is about how the structure of Sape’ Ting Dua’ instrument, how the process of making it, and how the technique of the instrument of Sape’ Ting Dua’ of Dayak Kayaan Mendalam tribe.The method of this research is descriptive with qualitative method and etnomusicology approach. The data of this research is the result of observation, documentations, the note book relates to the making process of Sape’ Ting Dua’. The resource data of this research is Dasius Simu’, Siprianus Gunung, Tarsisius Alel Sano. The data collection technique of this research is observation, interview, and documentations. The instrument of data collection of this research is the researcher as the main instrument. The validity data of this reserach is extended observation and triangulation technique. The technique of analisys data of this research is the analysis data during the collecting and after the analysis of collecting data. The result of this research is to describe how the short history of Sape’ Ting Dua, the making process of it, and the technique instruments of Sape’ Ting Dua’ of Dayak Kayaan Mendalam tribe.Sape’ Ting Dua’ is the instrument that has been a habit of people in Dayak Kayaan Mendalam sub tribe. In the process of making Sape’ Ting Dua’, this instrument uses the basic material of Medaang. The process of making this instrument was quite difficult because it uses tradtional method. Abstract

AbstractThe dance “Pongo Pygmaeus” was the writer’s actual caring toward the environtment. This dancing was coming up from the writer’s empathy and sympathy toward the condition of primates that their existence was not valuable anymore. “pongo Pygmaeus” were categorized as protected primates. They come from Kalimantan Island.Pongo pygmaeus was a dance show that needed team to manage the production for the sake of its purpose. Pongo pygmaeus applied the method and the step to create this dancing were explorations, processing, applications, evaluations, and revisions. These things were important because a writing process also needs a sistematic working to make the writing easier so that the writing agrees with the concept that has been created. This dancing was strongly related to the human life and its surroundings so that human needed to be more caring and sensitive towards the environtment and it shaped in the form of dramatic. This presentation created the aesthetics performance of “dancing” in the form of its accompaiment, so that this dancing was not only becoming a show. The dancing was not only becoming an entertainment, but also there was an inovation in developing the regional dance art and it contains educational aspect and moral value. Abstract

AbstractThis research is based on the urge and the concern of the writer to understand the Takhtim verse of Hadrah art in Pontianak. One of the Hadrah group which actively perform and join in any competition is Hadrah Hubbul Wathan group. Hadrah Hubbul Wathan group is formed by H. Muhammad, a famous figure in Hadrah art. The main problem in this research are, how the Takhtim verse form in Hadrah art and the preservation efforts done by Hadrah artists are. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis method by qualitative approach. The type of approach chosen in this research was musicology approach. Research data contained Hadrah art, rhythm structure, dan Takhtim verse, and the presentation forms. Data validity test was done by extra observation and triangulation. Analysis techniques used was domain and taxonomic. Research results explain that Takhtim verse in Hadrah art consisting of the Opening part, eight songs with different verses, and closing part. Efforts made by Hadrah Hubbul Wathan also varies, for example by registering Hadrah Hubbul Wathan as a legal group and providing training for children and teenager as an effort for regeneration.  Keywords: Study, Verse, Rhytm, Hadrah

AbstractThis research was motivated by the lack of writing or documenting traditional dance in the Sambas district which almost suffered extinction. One of them is the traditional dance that has almost suffered extinction, is The Structure of We are Indonesian Youth Islamic Radat Dance in Bekut Village, Tebas District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The objectives of this research are as follows 1). Descriptions of the structure of the presentation of  The Structure of We are Indonesian Youth Islamic Radat Dance in Bekut Village, Tebas District, Sambas Regency. 2). Descriptions of supporting elements on The Structure of We are Indonesian Youth Islamic Radat Dance in Bekut Village, Tebas District, Sambas Regency. The method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative form. The approach used is the Ethochoreology approach. Data sources are divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in the form of interview techniques, observation techniques, and documentation techniques. Techniques for collecting data from researchers as instruments. The technique of testing the validity of the data is the technique of extension of observation and triangulation techniques. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed at improving the skill of playing tambourine by using the drilling method towards the 11th-grade students of social studies I in SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak. It was a collaborative class action research with a descriptive method. 35 of 11th-grade students were taken as the subject in this study. The data collection was conducted by using direct observation technique, whilst the student performance report was used as the data collection tool. The data were analyzed by the descriptive presentation. This study was conducted up to two cycles. The findings showed that there was an improvement in the students’ performance in playing tambourine. Cycle 1 showed the percentage of completeness with a value of 73,42%. Showing improvement in cycle 2 with the value of 85,85%, it comes to the conclusion that the students’ performance on playing the tambourines have improved. Therefore, the drilling method can improve the students’ skills in playing tambourines. Keywords: Ability, Drilling Method, Tambourine, Wasps

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to improve students' skills in reading vowel notation through the drill method. The form of this study is classroom action research. The subject of this research were 34 students of class VII B. This study was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instruments were in the form of observation sheets and skill test sheets. The results of the research in the first cycle of students have not been right to read the number notation according to the indicator. While reading the number notation there are still many students who say the solmization is not in accordance with the not symbol. Students do not correctly place the fis chromatic pitch height. Students have not been able to read notes according to the high and low notes on the picth indicator. Then students have not been right to ring according to the not value indicator. In cycle II students show changes in reading numeric notation with the accuracy of reading the solmization according to the symbol of the not, can place chromatic tones according to the level, can sound the tone according to the pitch and pitch, and students have been able to sound the number notation according to the note. It can be concluded that through the drill method can improve students' skills in reading number notation. Keyword: Improvement, Number Notation, Vocals, Drill Method.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of written documentation so that references to the Form of Presentation and Function of Jonggan Music in Bebatung Village, Mandor District, Landak Regency need to be researched. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of presentation of Jonggan music in Bebatung village, Mandor district, Landak district and to describe the function of Jonggan music in Bebatung village, Mandor district, Landak district. The method in this research is descriptive method with the form of qualitative research and ethnomusicological approach. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The technique of testing the validity of the data used is the extension of observations and triangulation of sources. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the form of presentation and function of Jonggan's music in Bebatung Village, Mandor District, Landak Regency is traditional music with the form of presenting music being played together or in an ensemble. The players consist of one Agukng (Gong) player, two Dau (Kenong) players, one Tuma (Ketubung) player and one Solekng (Flute) player. The function of Jonggan Music in Bebatung Village, Mandor District, Landak Regency has a function as (1) As accompaniment music, (2) entertainment facilities, (3) as social facilities (4) as economic facilities (5) as a means of communication (6) as a means of education.
