Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the planning function to build a website-based digital library. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The theory used is one of the functions of digital library management, the planning function. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies, then the data is described, explained, or interpreted in the results and discussion. The results of the study reveal that planning to build a website-based digital library starts with stating the objectives that are packaged in the vision and mission of the BPK Penabur Cirebon digital library website. Hardware and software planning is provided and developed both independently and in collaboration with third parties. Planning for the uploading process on the BPK Penabur Cirebon digital library website is to provide e-books that come from a credible and trusted download platform and are legal to use. Development and maintenance planning is carried out by planning innovations that will be applied to digital library websites that aim to provide user satisfaction. Maintenance is a plan to check the hardware and software that support the digital library website. The budget is channeled for the purposes of the digital library website, which consists of the purchase or rental of hardware and software. Planning for HR is carried out by training or briefing on digital library operations and writing information and news to be published in websites digital library.

Abstract

There is a Local Public Broadcasting Institution (LPPL) that has the support of the regional district head, where the district head has been named the district head who cares about broadcasting, because there are rarely district heads or mayors who care about local public radio in their area. Apart from that, the Head of the Communication and Informatics Service also gave his support and was elected as the head of the service concerned with broadcasting. The public radio is Kuningan FM radio with a frequency of 100.5 MHz, which is located at Jalan Aruji Kartawinata No. 3, Kuningan District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province. Kuningan FM Radio has the motto “green and culture radio, caring for nature, preserving culture, the excitement that circulates”, with the vision “to actualize the role of local public broadcasting institutions as a unifying media, the leading source of public information towards advanced brass in 2023”. By getting the support and role of the people involved in the organizational structure, it has a positive impact on Kuningan FM radio. The purpose of this study is to describe the ways in which Kuningan FM radio has increased the existence of local public radio among the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, literature and literature review. The results of this study found several factors that made Kuningan FM radio won many awards, namely: the support of the regent, the supervisory board, the board of directors and the role of the people involved in the organizational structure of LPPL Kuningan Regency, innovative programs and events adapted to the needs of the surrounding community, use of streaming channels, as well as consistency in filling out each program.

Abstract

Sunda dialect is a local dialect from West Java Province that has to preserve. One of the learning materials can be conveyed through storytelling. Roesdi djeung Misnem book is a classic Sunda book that contains Sunda tales. Pabukon Ngadongeng Community Book Corner provides service for this book to material storytelling. This research aims to know the Sunda storytelling book as cultural literature to children in Roesdi djeung Misnem book at Pabukon Ngadongeng Community Book Corner through analysis of story meaning, kind of storytelling, characterization reader, and storytelling as a learning language. The research method used a qualitative approach through a narrative literature review. Roesdi djeung Misnem book has 19 tales with 13 themes from the meaning story: prudence, working together, smartness, gratitude, stinginess, loving, self-measurement, arrogance, brave, trust, honesty, good attitude, and glorifying parents. This kind of storytelling consists of tales with animal and human characters. Animal tales total seven tales, and human figures tales total 12 tales. In characterization reader, Roesdi djeung Misnem book can be read to children over nine. Sunda tales in this book can train to learn the Sunda language. So, librarians or Managers of Community Book Corner can design Sunda dialect learning materials through storytelling as an activity for local dialect revitalization.

Abstract

Media sosial hadir dan mengubah cara praktisi humas pemerintah untuk berkomunikasi dalam mencapai tujuan-tujuan lembaganya. Merupakan tugas dari humas lembaga pemerintah untuk dapat berkomunikasi, mendengar opini masyarakat, membangun citra yang baik serta mengelola reputasi pemerintah di mata publik. Maka, media sosial hadir dengan segala kemudahan dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut. Artikel ini membahas peran media sosial sebagai alat pelayanan publik dan alat manajemen krisis pemerintah. Ditulis dengan analisis studi literatur dari berbagai sumber. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari studi ini yakni bahwa media sosial telah digunakan berbagai instansi pemerintah untuk memudahkan pelayanan publik dan manajemen krisis karena kecepatan distribusi informasi, transparansi, mudahnya komunikasi dua arah, media dokumentasi dan sarana networking antar instansi berbeda.

Abstract

Kampung Pulo adalah salah satu daerah di Kabupaten Garut yang memiliki berbagai warisan budaya takbenda yang beragam. Warisan budaya takbenda yang ada di Kampung Pulo merupakan peninggalan dari salah satu tokoh penyebar agama islam di Kabupaten Garut yaitu Arif Muhammad atau biasa dikenal dengan nama “Embah Dalem”. Hingga kini, Kampung Pulo hanya boleh ditempati oleh keturunan asli dari Embah Dalem Arif Muhammad. Masyarakat Kampung Pulo dikenal dengan masyarakat yang kental akan adat dan tradisi. Mereka memiliki keyakinan bahwa warisan budaya takbenda merupakan amanat serta petunjuk hidup dari para leluhur yang harus dijalani sepenuh hati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berbagai warisan budaya takbenda yang ada di Kampung Pulo serta upaya untuk melestarikan warisan budaya takbenda tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Objek penelitian ini adalah pelestarian warisan budaya takbenda di Kampung Pulo Kabupaten Garut. Data bersumber dari data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi pustaka. Adapun teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasilnya terdapat 7 warisan budaya takbenda yang masih dilestarikan di Kampung Pulo, yaitu tradisi “Mapag Bulan Mulud”, “Ngariung Mulud”, “Ngibakan Banda Pusaka”, “Tahlilan”, “Mitembeyan”, “Niiskeun Pare”, dan beberapa pantangan yang sudah ada sejak masa Embah Dalem Arif Muhammad. Upaya pelestarian dilakukan dengan cara enkulturasi, sosialisasi, melakukan pertemuan rutin, melaksanakan tradisi, dan adanya keterbukaan terhadap masyarakat umum yang ingin turut melaksanakan tradisi.

Abstract

Introduction Libraries with a variety of resources and information services can support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in society. This study describes the role of social inclusion-based TBM in Bandung Regency, West Java to support SDGs. Data collection methods. This study was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data analysis was started with data reduction, data display and conclusion. Results and Discussion. TBM contributes to build a community-based literacy ecosystem based on the community characteristics and information needs in their environment. Literacy activities at TBM may improve individual or group skills and give impacts to the community's quality of life through collborations with multiple parties. TBM is a place for consultation regarding life problems in the community by providing access to information and knowledge to support the community's productivity and welfare. Conclusion and suggestions. The presence of community-based TBM supports poverty alleviation efforts. Literacy programs at TBM can help improve people's life skills by giving them more empowerment, training, and mentoring. These activities have an impact on improving individual abilities and skills. TBM becomes a bridge for public libraries as information service providers and a place to find information to overcome life's problems.

Abstract

Introduction. This study aims to explore strategies, stages, and understand the partnership model applied by TBM Sahabat Pena (SP) and Karang Taruna in disseminating health information. Research methods. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study involving interviews, observation, and document study. With a purposive sampling, four informants and one expert were involved from the TBM SP partnership. Data analysis. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Results and Discussion. The TBM SP creates strategies to establish partnerships among the parties who have a personal interest and collaboration with the TBM manager by using the existing resources. The stages conducted were identified in four stages: initiating, implementating, monitoring & learning, developing and maturing stage. Conclusion and recommendations. All activities related to partnership need to be in line with the TBS vision and mission. The implementation stage is the most influential stage in the success and sustainability of the partnership. The active role of the TBM manager is definitely needed.

Abstract

Ghatib Beghanyut merupakan tradisi keagamaan masyarakat Melayu Siak. Tradisi ini sudah berlangsung sejak zaman kesultanan Melayu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan tradisi tersebut serta menganalisis keterkaitan ritual dengan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi serta kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi tersebut bermula pada masa Sultan ke XII yakni Sultan Syarif Kasim II. Sejak awal tradisi tersebut mengikuti pedoman islam yakni dengan berlandaskan Al-quran. Seperti kata pepatah yakni Adat bersendikan Syara’, Syara’ bersendikan Kitabullah. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini ialah ghatib beghanyut atau yang biasa dikenal dengan tradisi tolak bala merupakan sebuah budaya yang diciptakaan oleh sekelompok masyarakat dengan tujuan memohon perlindungan pada Yang Maha Kuasa.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pembelajaran jarak jauh siswa sekolah di tahun 2020 yang dianggap kurang efektif, menyebabkan pemerintah berencana untuk memulai sekolah tatap muka ditahun ajaran baru 2021/2022. Sejumlah protokol kesehatan perlu disosialisasikan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan protokol kesehatan dalam rangka persiapan pembelajaran tatap muka di Kabupaten Sumedang. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar, orang tua siswa, guru, dan perangkat desa di Desa Citali Kabupaten Sumedang. Sosialisasi protokol kesehatan ini menggunakan metode storytelling melalui media komik. Untuk mengukur bertambahnya pengetahuan siswa kami melakukan test sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Focus Group Discussion digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan orang tua, guru dan perangkat desa terkait komik sebagai metode promosi kesehatan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pengetahuan siswa mengenai protokol kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah maupun di lingkungan rumah bertambah walau tidak signifikan. Guru, orang tua serta tokoh masyarakat memberikan tanggapan positif pada komik “Sehat ceria di Masa Pandemi” sebagai media promosi protokol kesehatan bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah komik sebagai media sosialisasi protocol kesehatan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan yang baik sebesar 90,1% dan cukup baik sebesar 9,1% bagi anak anak serta meningkatkan kesadaran anak-anak dalam menjalankan protokol kesehatan untuk persiapan pembelajaran tatap muka.

Abstract

Purpose Research. In order to provide information about visual news shows needed by the News division staff at PT Surya Citra Media Tbk quickly, precisely, and relevant as needed, the Media Asset Management system which is a means of retrieving information in the News Library at PT Surya Citra Media Tbk, needs to be seen and measured in order to know its effectiveness and ideality in bringing together information that suits the needs. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Media Asset Management system in the News Library of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk. Method. The method used is a formative evaluation research method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the entire collection of news shows stored in the Backdrop category in 2022. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research sample is 20 news keywords entered into the Media Asset Management system. This research uses Lancaster's Recall and Precision effectiveness theory. Analysis Data. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques Results. The results showed an average Recall calculation ratio of 0.45 or 45% and an average Precision calculation ratio of 0.89 or 89%. Based on the nominal Precision level, the Media Asset Management system falls into the third category with a high or effective Precision level. Based on the identification of the comparison between the average Recall and Precision ratios, the Media Asset Management system has not been categorized in an ideal condition with a ratio between the Recall and Precision ratios that are not equally large, namely (4: 9). Conclusions. The Media Asset Management system in the News Library of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk is classified as effective but not yet categorized as being in an ideal stage or condition. Keywords: Effectiveness; Media Asset Management; Precision; Recall
