Abstract

Library websites in higher education institutions help increase competitiveness and reinforce institutions, information media, and library promotion. This study aimed to determine the effect of the quality of the Kandaga website partially and simultaneously on user satisfaction at the Padjadjaran University Central Library. This study used an explanatory quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 373 people. The analysis of research data used path analysis. Based on the research results, variables of usability quality, service interaction quality, interface quality, and digital library service quality partially had a significant effect on user satisfaction of the Padjadjaran University Central Library. The quality of the Kandaga website had a significant simultaneous effect on user satisfaction of the Central Library of Padjadjaran University by 87.4%. The quality of the digital library services had the most significant influence on user satisfaction, namely 52.6%. The Central Library o Padjadjaan University needed to prioritize digital library service quality improvements because this variable significantly influenced user satisfaction. The quality of the Kandaga website partially and simultaneously had a significant effect on user satisfaction of the Central Library. Information quality had no significant effect on user satisfaction of the Central Library of Padjadjaran University. Kandaga's information quality variable had the highest value. The study concludes that users of the Kandaga website believe that the quality of information on the Kandaga website currently has met user needs, has a good reputation, is trustworthy, relevant, detailed, and easy to understand.

Abstract

One of the literacy movements that is currently developing is the proliferation of various communities Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) which was established by the community to provide access to information to the public in order to realize lifelong learning. Sudut Baca Soreang (SBS) as a TBM by relying on a variety of community is very active in making various activities literacy movements. This study aims to create a model of literacy movement activities undertaken by SBS with the end result was the model of a community -based literacy movement activities so that it can be one model for other TBM in making various activities literacy movements. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research using case study approach. The results showed that the shape of the literacy movement activities SBS driven by volunteers as well as spearhead in carrying out various activities that have been prepared weekly/monthly/yearly with one of the volunteers as person in charge. All activities are always evaluated regularly. This model can move literacy activities, promotional activities and drives the field of literacy advocacy activities. The manager of SBS (founders, trustees and volunteers) to make a wide range of activities aimed at local communities, which involves internal SBS as well as external parties SBS from local communities, students and community leaders and other strategic partners as a driver of literacy programming that has been designed by the manager of SBS, All activities that have been implemented are supported by promotional efforts through social media such as facebook as a primary medium.Salah satu gerakan literasi yang saat ini berkembang adalah menjamurnya berbagai komunitas Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) yang didirikan oleh masyarakat untuk memberikan akses informasi kepada masyarakat guna mewujudkan pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Sudut Baca Soreang (SBS) sebagai sebuah TBM dengan mengandalkan berbagai komunitas masyarakat sangat aktif dalam membuat berbagai kegiatan gerakan literasi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membuat model aktivitas gerakan literasi yang dilakukan oleh SBS dengan hasil akhirnya adalah adanya model aktivitas gerakan literasi berbasis komunitas sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu percontohan bagi TBM lainnya dalam membuat berbagai kegiatan gerakan literasi. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk aktivitas gerakan literasi SBS dimotori oleh relawan serta menjadi ujung tombak dalam melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan yang telah disusun setiap minggu/bulan/tahunan dengan salah seorang sukarelawan sebagai penanggungjawabnya. Seluruh aktivitas tersebut selalu dilakukan evaluasi secara rutin dan dilakukan evaluasi tahunan pula. Model ini dapat menggerakkan aktivitas literasi, promosi kegiatan dan menjadi penggerak kegiatan advokasi bidang literasi. Para pengelola SBS (pendiri, pengurus dan relawan) membuat berbagai aktivitas yang ditujukan untuk masyarakat sekitar yang melibatkan pihak internal SBS maupun pihak ekternal SBS mulai dari masyarakat sekitar, pelajar ataupun tokoh masyarakat dan mitra strategis lainnya sebagai penggerak kegiatan literasi yang telah dirancang oleh pengelola SBS. Seluruh aktivitas yang telah dilaksanakan didukung oleh upaya promosi melalui media sosial berupa facebook sebagai media utama.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic has succeeded in changing the order of life, one of which is in the field of libraries. This also changes the services carried out in the BINUS University library. The BINUS University Library has made several adjustments to some of its services. Services that are usually done in person and face-to-face are now done online. This online service is also an example of using computers as a medium for communication. This computer-mediated communication is reflected in several services and innovations carried out by the BINUS University library. This article aims to describe the services and innovations carried out by the BINUS University library. The method used is direct interview and literature study. The services provided by the BINUS University library are asynchronous, that is, they are carried out in a different time and space, and synchronous, that is, they are carried out in the same time and space. The results of the study show that several services and innovations have been carried out, such as reference clinics, cross-service services, document provision, and plagiarism checking, which are now also carried out online. Circulation services in the form of a book delivery system have also been improved during the pandemic. The BINUS University library has also made several innovations in its services in the pandemic era. These innovations include the payment of fines through Go-Pay and QRIS BCA, a virtual tour library service, and libtalks.

Abstract

Kawasan pariwisata berbasis alam rentan terhadap terjadinya bencana. Tantangan utama untuk menjaga dampak negatif akibat kegiatan wisata yaitu mengajak wisatawan untuk menjaga dan memelihara lingkungan alam melalui media komunikasi yang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi pariwisata di Kampung Ciharegem dan mengidentifikasi media komunikasi persuasif yang ada di Tebing Keraton, Kampung Ciharagem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif teknik perolehan data primer melalui wawancara dan obeservasi lapangan. Sementara data sekunder didapatkan melalui studi pustaka dan dokumen kebijakan terkait. Analisis isi dan deskriptif. Ruang lingkup wilayah penelitian ini meliputi Kampung Ciharegem yang terletak di Desa Ciburial, Kecamatan Cimenyan, Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media komunikasi persuasif dapat berkontribusi dalam merancang strategi komunikasi yang efektif bagi destinasi pariwisata yang berada di kawasan lindung. Terdapat dua media komunikasi persuasif utama yang terletak di Kampung Ciharegem, yaitu media fisik berupa spanduk, papan informasi, dan papan petunjuk arah, serta media daring melalui situs web dan media sosial. Pembaharuan konten media daring secara berkala dapat mambantu dan mengedukasi wisatawan yang akan berkunjung ke Tebing Keraton di Kampung Ciharegem

Abstract

The integration of community leaders with the government in all aspects of life is very important, including in the edges of various disasters. Not to mention the covid 19 pandemic, landslides, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, erupting mountains, etc., which have not subsided. The fact that the wrong approach is always used, often the handling results in not maximum. The lack of responsive communities participating in prevention further prolongs the course of treatment. This study was conducted with the aim of finding out how local traditions, in this case the Sundanese in Tatar Karang, harmonize the community with the government in dealing with disasters. The method used is phenomenology. The results showed: 1) local knowledge about disaster mitigation; 2) obedience based on Custom, Religion and State. Conclusion: one of the local knowledge is stored in the form of certain traditions, in a community group. Only the people know where the knowledge is stored. Interested outsiders should be wise to know how each adat treats its local knowledge.

Abstract

Candil is a digital library application that allows users to access library collections via cell phones, this application launched by Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. With this application, users from various regions can access the library’s collections without any problems. It is important to analyze the extent to which this digital library application can be accepted by its users. Because by knowing how users respond to this digital library application, it can also be seen the advantages and disadvantages in it. This study aims to determines usefulness aspect and ease of use aspect of using the Candil application which can be used as a consideration in developing the digital library application. This research method uses a qualitative approach with case study analysis. The informants of this study were Candil application users and staff of Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. The data collection techniques was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentations. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. The results showed that the usefulness aspect was built on several items such as work more quickly, makes job easier, increase productivity, and useful. The items that have not been fulfilled in the usefulness aspect are job performance and effectiveness. The ease of use aspect was built on several items such as easy to use, controllable, easy of learn, easy to become skillful, and clear and understandable. The item that has not been fulfilled in the ease of use aspect is flexibility. The conclusion of this study shows that overall the Candil application is quite easy to use and provides benefits for its users even though there are some obstacles that can still be overcome. These obstacles are like applications that sometimes experience lag or difficulty connecting to the internet network, which users can still handle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine knowledge sharing of child servants in Pelkat PA GPIB Gloria Bekasi. The research method used is qualitative with case study approach. Data collection techniques were used through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. This research was conducted on 4 informants who were members of Pelkat PA GPIB Gloria. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study was conducted around 10 months. The results are: 1) knowledge sharing’s process: socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization, 2) behavior knowledge sharing: subject norms, attitude, perceived behavioral control, and social network ties, and 3) constraints knowledge sharing: lack of time, benefits to oneself and other, fear and uncertainty, and technological context. This research is to understand knowledge sharing contribution by child servants at Pelkat PA GPIB Gloria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the movement and literacy activities of the community in the District of Bandung. The focus of this research is on how the activity of literacy done by the community through the activity in Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM). The scope of this research is about the role of TBM managers, attention to the problems of community literacy, community response to literacy movement and how the role of related parties such as government, regional libraries and others in supporting the literacy movement developed in TBM. The method used is qualitative method with case study approach. Data were collected through observation and indepth interviews. The result of this research is to get the picture that TBM-TBM managed by informants is TBM-TBM active in growing movement of literacy. Various literacy activities are actively carried out in various forms such as reading activities, discussions, workshops, training, competitions, exhibitions and storytelling. TBM managers actively inflame the literacy movement within the surrounding community. Community participation is quite high considering that the manager of TBM always actively make efforts of community involvement. Support from the government, especially the District Library Bandung is felt very meaningful and beneficial for the continuity of TBM and literacy movement. The partnership network is built actively with various parties, both government and private. The informants in the study as a whole are open to collaborating and sharing information, knowledge and experience in managing TBM and developing literacy movements in their communities.

Abstract

Storytelling activities at Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Cirebon have switched to using the WhatsApp application since the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative is one of the alternatives to cultivate basic literacy even in limited conditions. This study aims to determine the implementation of storytelling activities through WhatsApp application at Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Cirebon and its application based on the basic literacy model. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of storytelling activities through WhatsApp application is carried out in four stages, namely opening, storytelling activities, crafting activities, and closing. This activity is also implemented based on the basic literacy model proposed by (Ferguson, n.d.) with four components, including reading & writing, speaking & listening, counting & calculating, and perception & drawing. The application is carried out with various activities according to its components, where there are different interests and developments among storytelling participants. From this research, it can be concluded that the WhatsApp application can be an alternative media to carry out storytelling activities in cultivate basic literacy.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat umum untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang literat. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan tingkat budaya literasi di indonesia, khususnya pada masyarakat Indramayu yang tergolong masih rendah. Permasalahan tersebut harus diperhatikan oleh pustakawan seorang yang berprofesi, sebagai seorang pengelola informasi. Ketika budaya literasi terus meningkat, maka bangsa ini akan semakin maju. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pustakawan pustakawan Dinas Kearsipan Dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Indramayu dalam meningkatkan literasi informasi masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan cara menganalisis data yang berhasil dikumpulkan lalu dianalisis sesuai dengan penelitian deskriptif. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu Perpustakaan memiliki peran yang sangat penting, dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang melek akan suatu informasi dan peran itu dilaksanakan oleh pustakawan. Pustakawan sendiri memiliki kontribusi yang sangat besar, untuk membentuk masyarakat yang melek akan informasi yang berpikir kritis dan menjadi pembelajar seumur hidupnya.
