Abstract

Incubator's Ideal temperature is one of important factors that need to consider in egg hatching process. By designing an automation system using fuzzy logic, the ideal temperature can be maintained. The system using NI LabVIEW as graphical programming language software to design the user interface monitoring temperature in incubator. There are few membership functions and models in fuzzy logic. However, still there is no guideline about selection of membership amount and fuzzy model of parameters that using in fuzzy process. In this research, compare and analyze the difference between system that didn't using fuzzy logic and system that using fuzzy logic with variant amount of memberships, those are 3, 5 and 7 memberships, where in each variant is using different model, those are Gaussian, Trapezoid, and Triangle. Based on the result of testing, difference of those three variant memberships is 12.9 and difference of those three fuzzy models is 0.8. Furthermore, amount of membership affects the output of fuzzy system, while fuzzy model is not really affected the output fuzzy system. In temperature testing, the result shows the system that didn't using fuzzy logic method took a long time to reach ideal temperature rather than system that using fuzzy logic method. Fuzzy system that using 7 memberships got smallest difference is 0.49 and took fastest time to get ideal temperature.

Abstract

Electricity is major requirement in today's society. As an important source of energy for household, industrial even government. The increasing demand of electricity itself caused waste of energy. The energy use can be monitored by Kwh meter, to determine how much elecrity that has been used in room is not yet possible. Electricity monitoring usage system in the room using NodeMcu and MQTT (Message Queueing Telemetry Transport) would be a right solution. NodeMcu microcontroller as MQTT client publisher is using C++ program and using PubSubClient library. Then we perform a test to measure system performance of each node for monitoring electricty used in the room. There is a different value of amphere when we conduct the test that is 0-03 ampere when there is no electronic devices activity and 0.17 ampere when there is an activity of electronic device. It is possible to send the data using mqtt and the results can be displayed in grapchical form. At each node 1, 2, and 3 the diffrence is 1.50463 - 6.92544 watt-hour when the hair conditioner at level 1, iron and laptop is on, 1.4475-4.3209 watt-hour when the hair dryer at level 2, iron, and laptop is on and 0.094254-2.981733 watt-hour when all of the electronic devices is off.

Abstract

Abstract Chili is one of holticultura product wich is needed every day by Indonesian people. They use chili for spice in cooking. Chili supply not any time to meet demand. It causes price increases in accordance with the law of demand and supply. The surge in prices because of limited supplies occur every year. One of the problems that cause unavailability of supply throughout of year is chili crop failure cause chili cultivation is not good. pepper cultivation planning must consider the rainfall so that water for plants is available. Chili plants would not grow well if the plants lack of of water or if the water is too much. It will disturb chili growth, fertilization and crop becomes susceptible to pests. The main source off plants irrigation is rain. Knowledge of rainfall in the future will help farmers in cultivating planning. This research will discuss about decision support systems of chilli cultivation based on the rainfall prediction using simple linear regression method. Regression method used to predict the rainfall with modeling rainfall data in previous years. Based on the data the rainfall forecasts, system will recomanded best ways of pepper cultivation. Results of rainfall prediction using simple linear regression method has the accuracy rate of 91.6% which inluantial to the good of chili cultivation. Abstract

Smart Home with pervasive concept can find Bluetooth device and the services. Smart home constructed can control many node so energy saving is required. Thus, appropriate Bluetooth for this pervasive Smart Home is Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE). Bluetooth 4.0 is derivated from Classic Bluetooth technology which low-cost, long-life battery caused by minimum energy consumption, and easy development. Author implements the pervasive smart home system with smartphone as the controller through BLE communication. Smart Home consists of lamp node (Arduino Nano, LED, and modul BLE HM-10), temperature and humidity node (Arduino Nano, sensor DHT11, and modul BLE HM-10), and fan node (Arduino Uno, kipas DC, dan modul BLE HM-10). Android application as the controller constructed using MIT App Inventor 2. Scanning done by application then continued by choosing BLE HM-10 node and connect them through CONNECT button. When connection formed, SERVICES button pushed to knowing the services given by BLE HM-10 node. If the service has been displayed on smartphone, user can input number instruction to operating the BLE HM-10 node. Feedback of operation result will be displayed on the smartphone. DISCONNECT button pushed to disconnect the connection. BLE HM-10 performance also tested in case of signal quality and energy consumption comparison with Bluetooth HC-05. Based on the test result, caused of pervasive concept, when scanning process, application can recognize BLE HM-10 node and the services displayed when requested by user. Feedback and service displayed in the form of sentence with maximum amount of 20 characters because maximum payload size of BLE HM-10 is 20 byte, and the sentence more than 20 characters will be displayed one by one. BLE HM-10 has maximum signal quality of 98% and minimum quality of 20% and better in term of energy saving (5,69 mW) than Bluetooth HC-05 (13,56 mW)

Abstract

LPG is an alternative fuel that people use for daily purposes, in addition, LPG has cheaper prices and is also easier to use. However, LPG is flammable and has heavier characteristics that are bigger than air, making it difficult to detect the gas in case of leakage. Based on the problem, a system capable of detecting leakage of LPG gas and its leakage level based on gas content and temperature on LPG. In this research there are 2 sensors that are gas module MQ-6 and LM35 temperature sensor connected with arduino uno microcontroller and can be used as a feature to classify gas condition using fuzzy sugeno method. The output of the system is displayed using the LCD and marked with a buzzer sound. In arduino uno embedded RTOS that served as scheduling task on the system. The RTOS used is already provided in the Arduino Uno library ie FreeRTOS. From the test results, the system can determine the various conditions on the gas leak with accuracy reaches 100%. Scheduling tasks performed in accordance with the priorities made. The average system execution time using RTOS is 1.8976 ms, while the system without RTOS is 1,7304 ms. System with RTOS takes longer time, because in system there is take-and-give semaphore function which need execution time for ± 0,05 ms.

Abstract

Major selection for high school student intended to facilitate students to focusing on specific field for higher education. However, assigning academic potential for each student through school counselor needs plenty of time. A recommendation system can generate a recommendation for major selection based on cognitive ability by Intelligenz Struktur Test (IST). Modified k-Nearest Neighbor is applied to system which classifying academic potential based on neighborhood by training data. Training data consist of nine cognitive intelligences and two majors. So, system will provide a recommendation for major. From the testing process that has been done, has obtain highest averaged accuracy on 90% dataset is 67,95%, averaged accuracy on 4-fold Cross Validation is 63,58%, averaged Sensitivity and Specificity is 23,64% and 92,34%, accuracy comparison between MKNN and KNN is 63,58% and 57,11%, and then highest accuracy for feature reduction using PCA is 55,26% which is reduced to 6 features. According to test result indicate that Modified k-Nearest Neighbor recommendation system not optimal yet to generate a recommendation for major selection.

Abstract

Quadcopter categorized as flying robot that has four motors and four propelers each side. Remote control requires to navigate quadcopter, so special skill and experience needed to navigate it well. Based on that problem, we developed a control system using sound through smartphone and Arduino with text processing method. Incoming sound from user converted into text, and then each text splitted into words. Each word will be matched into database that has been created before, using stopword removal wordlist algorithm. The results will be sent to Arduino to do data processing becoming quadcopter movement. In this research using parrot Parrot Ar Drone 2.0 as quadcopter. From testing result, this system has 100% value at functional testing and user input processing. At quadcopter precision movement testing, accuracy of this system reach 89.3%. At application performance testing, this system average time for sound processing increase ±1 second and average time for text preprocessing ±300 nanosecond along with the increase of words. At quadcopter fliying performance, taken quadcopter angel value of Roll, Pitch, and Yaw within -180 O to +180 O. While minimum value of height is 0.062 meter and maximum height is 3 meter.

Abstract

PTPN X PG. Pesantren Baru is a sugar factory located in Kediri. At the factory it is required workers who have to control the pump, one of them in the sugar production process. Controlled pumps are within 150m - 650m. Based on these problems then created a system that will be able to control the pump wirelessly. The system is called mark pump. As a connector between factory workers with the system, the mark pump uses the interface application on the smartphone. The smartphone app will connect to the central node over the internet network. The central node will connect to the pump node through an intermediate node using the radio module nRF24L01. All nodes use Arduino as microcontroller. At the pump node, the relay is used to disconnect and connect the current at the water pump. During testing, the smartphone sends commands to each pump. The results of the test show that, to control the pump manually it takes an average time of 4.3 minutes. To control the pump using the pump system the average time is 245.2ms. Electricity bill savings to control the pump by using a mark pump system of Rp489, 9 per 4.3 minutes. Based on the questionnaire distributed to 8 factory workers, the result of the agreement level on the questionnaire of 37.5% included in the high category and 62.5% very high category.

Abstract

The growing of visitor number lead to a new problem that is, the fullness of the place when the visitors is not comparable with the available standard capacity of the building. Counting the number of visitors in a shopping center can provide an information for the manager to optimizing the place, as well as to evaluating the attraction in some shopping areas. Area managers can analyze and monitor the center state of the crowd. From this problem, it is need an automate system to calculate the visitor who passes through the door simultaneously. In this study, the parameter that used by reseaecher is the detection of passing objects. The researcher used infrared sensor switch E18-D80NK that will be processed used Bayes classification to calculate the total of visitor who passes through the sensor in the door. The Bayes method was chosen as one of the techniques for decision-making classification counters of people who passing through the door simultaneously, this method is one of the classification method is quite simple and easy to be understood. So the accuracy obtained by this system using Bayes method is 79.24%. In this case, reseacher using the door size width of 200 cm and 190 cm high with the computation time of sensor readings until the calculation of 679.2 ms or about 0.6792 seconds.

Abstract

The power source is one of the important things that have to be noticed at the application of WSN on wide area scope, data transmission and monitoring scope of sensor module that used by sensor node cause high amounts of sensor node required. Especially if the node only use to monitor a type of environmental condition, while the monitoring needs are required to be able to monitor many type of condition, on those case more amounts and also power sources needed according to the area and the type of environmental condition to be monitored by sensor nodes. To be able to solve the problem, the authors implement a sensor node equipped with multi sensors and including a low power mechanism that is useful to determine when the sensor node will activating sleep mode or not. The sensor node is designed using ATmega328P as microcontroller with NRF24L01 as wireless communication module, equipped RTC module as time data source which use as time stamp of running system. With the low power mechanism inside the sensor nodes reduces current consumption up to 65,3%, so as to extend the active life of the sensor node compared with the absences of the low power mechanism.
