Abstract

Reinforcement Program of Character Education or PPK is a program that has been stated on the Presedential of the Indonesian Republic decree number 87 in year 2017 for Reinforcement Program of Character Education . The goal for Reinforcement Program of Character Education is to build students character for the golden generation. Islamic Junior High School of Sabilurrosyad is one of the Junior High School that is located in Malang that uses Reinforcement Program of Character Education as a foundation for organizing activites. Activites that the school have been doing are creating an activity proposal which follows through the creation of a documentation of a finished activity. These activites are still conducted manually, so that the documentation of every activity that has already been executed will be put into a book. But, some of the documentations are missing when the school staff wanted to merged the documentation into a book. After completing all of the school activities, the school will be conducting assessment according to Reinforcement Program of Character Education . Therefore, from the problems that have been told, can be conducted a research to build an information system that can facilitate activity management and user accounts for the school to use. Development of this system is based on iterative development, and the system is build using Laravel version 6 within two iterations. Each series of iterations are tested using validation testing with all results are valid and compatibility testing with pretty good results in every browser available.

Abstract

Eling is an LMS that contains information on the implementation of learning activities at Filkom. Google Classroom is a Learning Management System (LMS) service product that aims to simplify and organize the learning process, assess assignments and improve communication without having to meet face-to-face. Currently, Filkom UB uses two LMS, namely Google Classroom and Eling for online learning. So far, it is not known what the student's perspective is when using the LMS Google Classroom and Eling. Therefore, the researcher wants to evaluate the user experience from the student's perspective on these two LMS. If the student's perspective is known, it is hoped that the problems encountered by student users with each LMS and the needs of users will be known, which will later provide benefits for improvements to LMS services. The researcher also intends to find out and compare how good the user experience is felt by LMS users. This LMS user experience test uses usability testing. Usability testing is used to identify problems and determine user responses to show how effective and efficient the LMS is to help users achieve their goals. The results of the interviews obtained problems, needs and preferences of respondents in each LMS. The results of testing the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction can be seen that Google Classroom gets a higher rating on all scenario testing and the results of the SUS questionnaire.

Abstract

Balai Besar Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (BBTNBTS) as a Technical Implementation Unit from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has management plan centered around TNBTS area that aims to lay the operational foundation for the management of natural conservation areas in a systematic, focused and integrated manner. BBTNBTS has a letter management activity to support the implementation of those program plan. Letter management activities are still carried out manually to this date, causing several problems, such as the increased risk of losing data recorded in the agenda book, as well as difficulties in searching for specific mail data, monitoring the status of mail processing, and recapitulation of letters. Based on these problems, the solution that can be applied is to develop a correspondence management information system that can be a means to facilitate staff in managing incoming and outgoing letters at BBTNBTS. The web-based information system is built using the Rational Unified Process (RUP) approach, using the PHP programming language that utilizes the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database. Validation and compatibility tests are also performed to ascertain that the system is feasible to use.

Abstract

Arta Barber and Chill has been in the barbershop world since 2010. Arta Barber and Chill provides deep shaving needs without waiting in line, but still being able to experience the quality of a premium barbershop, then equipped with health protocols that have been made through discussions with doctors to avoid the spread of the virus. In interviews with several relevant users in order to obtain information, problems were found on the Arta Barber and Chill website, such as the absence of a barber selection that matches the user's wishes and the need for a login feature so that customer data can be stored. Based on the problems found, tree testing was carried out on the initial evaluation of the website. Aspects that are measured during tree testing are success rate, directness, time spent, first click, and destination. After performing tree testing, the closed card sorting method is used in making design solutions so that the flow and navigation of the website is in accordance with user expectations, with the final result of the sitemap and in accordance with usability guidelines. The final results obtained in this study are recommendations for flow and website navigation and an increase in the value of user satisfaction. Then, the conclusions obtained from this study stated that there was a very significant increase in the value of user satisfaction.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Malang is one of the PLN business units which has the obligation to serve prospective customers and the public related to the sale of electricity. Postpaid meter reading is one of the important business processes at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Malang. There are several problems that occur in the postpaid meter reading business process, including errors when inputting data, customers included in incorrect meter reading route, errors in meter reading, and difficulties in taking meter readings because the house is closed or the fence is locked which results in losses for PLN because they do not get accurate calculation results. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the postpaid meter reading business process to assess whether the postpaid meter reading business process is appropriate with performance indicators in the postpaid meter reading business. To evaluate the business process, the root cause of the problem in the postpaid meter reading business process was identified using the 3 x 5 Whys technique. After that, for problematic activities, recommendations are given using the 12 streamlining tools contained in the Business Process Improvement (BPI) method. The recommended business process is then simulated and compared with the current business process to see the average time. The simulation results show that there is a decrease in the average time of 4 hours 8 minutes 18 seconds or 3.26% so it can be said that improvements in postpaid meter reading business process can solve the problems contained in the business process.

Abstract

Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ma'arif Bakung is an Islamic junior high school located in Blitar Regency. Each new academic year, the number of new students can reach 300 students with the number of educators teaching as many as 60 people. With so many students being accommodated, the value management process to become a report card is still using the conventional method, namely by administrative officers making the value format in excel and then distributing it to each teacher. This process raises several problems, one of which is if there is a change in the value data, the teacher needs to contact the administrative officer first. In addition to the assessment process in the new student registration process, several problems are often encountered because the process is still done manually. Based on the problems that have been described, an information system will be developed that can facilitate the process of managing grades and registering new students using the waterfall software development method and Unified Modeling Language (UML) to model the system. At the requirements analysis stage, 40 functional requirements and 2 non-functional requirements were generated. At the system testing stage, several tests were carried out including black-box testing, compatibility testing, and UAT testing. In black-box testing, 20 test cases were produced with 100% valid results. In the compatibility test, it was found that in some browsers there were some minor issues caused by some browsers not supporting the CSS property used. In User Acceptance Testing, it shows that the information system built can be accepted by users with a value of 84.5% (Agree).

Abstract

From the results of observations on the Google Play Store and initial interviews with 3 participants, it shows that users still find problems and difficulties in using the H&M application. The problems consist of application user interface problems, user experience, and slow application responses. Therefore, a usability evaluation was carried out to find out more about the problems experienced by users when interacting with the H&M application. In addition, it is also to calculate the value of the aspects of effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction with the H&M application. Based on the results of the problem analysis in the initial usability evaluation, the types of problems found in the form of problems with buttons, information, navigation, typography, gestures, layout, scrolling, application bars, responses, filters, reviews, item selection, checkout, status, text fields, and menu. From the analysis of the problems, it is produced 38 number of guidelines (guidelines) improvement. The results of user interface improvements in the form of mockups and prototypes that have been designed are then carried out further usability evaluations. Furthermore, the comparison of usability values ​​in the initial usability evaluation and further usability evaluation is carried out. In the aspect of effectiveness, the success rate metric has increased from 50% to 86.25%. Meanwhile, the error rate metric value decreased from 63% to 12%. In terms of efficiency, the value of the time-based efficiency metric has increased from 0.60% per second to 2.80% per second. In the aspect of satisfaction, the SUS score obtained also increased from 30.75 to 81.62.

Abstract

Kwikku is a platform for Generation Z that collaborates between readers and content creators so thatKwikku users can enjoy various interesting and quality content ranging from novels, webtoons andarticles. Kwikku is also equipped with social media features that can support content creators tocommunicate directly with readers and promote their work. Based on brief interviews, reviews on thePlaystore, and observations, several problems were found that could reduce the value of the userexperience on the Kwikku mobile application. To find out the level of user experience on the Kwikkumobile application and understand the problems in depth, data collection and analysis were carried outusing the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and Heuristic Evaluation (HE). After the analysis hasbeen carried out, the process of making improvement design recommendations is also carried out basedon the recommendations that have been obtained from the evaluators. Based on the results of the userexperience analysis on the old design, it was found that the user experience level on the Kwikku mobileapplication had a good value. This is evidenced by the benchmark results on the UEQ in the aboveaverage, good and excellent categories with an average of each scale, namely 1.55 (Attractiveness),1.83 (Perspicuity), 1.58 (Efficiency), 1.39 (Dependability), 1.95 (Stimulation), and 1.65 (Novelty). Forthe results of the evaluation using HE, the evaluators involved found 25 total problems related tousability and user experience and were also given recommendations for improvement for each problem.

Abstract

The library is a facility provided by SMP Plus Al-Kautsar to support the teaching and learning process. One of the services provided at this library is circulation services. However, in the implementation of these services, there are several obstacle, including difficulities in managing and finding data which results in the work of officers being less efficient. In addition, there are also obstacles to obtaining collection information and the availability of books in the library. Based on these problems, this study aims to build library information system that can assist the data management process and improve the efficiency of circulation services. The development model that used in this study is the waterfall model which includes the stage of requirement analysis and definition, system design, implementation and system testing. The requirements analysis phase produces 42 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. System design produces documentation of object modeling and object interaction in UML notation, database design, algorithms, and user interfaces. The implementation phase produces an information system that is built by applying the model-view-controller pattern. Testing is conducted using validation testing and compatibility testing to determine that the system is running according to user needs and is able to run in various browser applications. Validation test results show valid values in 13 test cases. While the compatibility test results show that there is 1 major issue and 3 minor issues caused by some browser applications not supporting the CSS properties used.

Abstract

In the trade sector, transaction management is crucial because if transactions are not managed properly, they can cause considerable losses. This risk is also found in a shop called Tini Mart. Transaction management at these stalls is still traditional, such as providing prices by remembering the price of goods and manually calculating the total price and change. This method has many risks such as giving the wrong price, calculating the total price incorrectly, and giving the wrong amount of change. This can cause losses to the shop and decrease the confidence of buyers in the shop. Now there are several transaction management applications on the market that are freely available but are not suitable for use in Tini Mart. This is because there are functional requirements, such as debt management, and non-functional requirements, such as supporting the interface on a large screen and having a simple, easy-to-understand interface and navigation for users, which are still not met. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of developing applications that can meet the requirements that have not been met previously. This application development process model will use the waterfall. The application is built using the Laravel framework with the JavaScript and PHP programming languages. The test results state that all functional requirements of the application have been met because it has a 100% success rate and all non-functional requirements of the application have been met because after observations and interviews there were no obstacles and users can easily use the application.
