Abstract

Community service activities aim to transfer knowledge and technology related to the prevention and treatment of foot-and-mouth disease. The activity was carried out on June 22, 2025, at the Gemah Ripah livestock group, Jatikuwung, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. The method used in the community service activities was Participatory Action Research (PAR). The community service began with an initial visit to the livestock group to identify the problems farmers faced. The activity continued with a group discussion on foot-and-mouth disease and its prevention and treatment. The following agenda item was to practice with a chopper machine and implement biosecurity using an electric tank. Monitoring and evaluation were conducted to monitor livestock health after the program. The results of the community service activity showed that 81.75% of livestock group members were of productive age, the majority of farmers were junior high/high school graduates, and they had an average of 6-10 years of livestock experience. The morbidity of foot and mouth disease reached 88.9% with a mortality rate of up to 5.5%. Implementation of biosecurity in livestock groups is still low (18.75%), and vaccination has been carried out by 43.75% of livestock breeders. 83.3% of farmers handled sick livestock themselves. Through group discussions and practical activities, farmers' knowledge increased by 60.6%. The conclusion is that this community service activity improved farmers' knowledge, which can serve as a basis for disease prevention and management.

Abstract

Munculnya etos kerja yang tinggi pada karyawan di suatu perusahaan akan menjadikan karyawan efektif dalam bekerja sehingga berdampak baik bagi perusahaan dan menghasilkan komitmen yang dirasakan karyawan berupa rasa memiliki terhadap perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara etos kerja dengan komitmen organisasi pada PT. Sabina Tirta Utama Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasi. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala komitmen organisasi dan etos kerja tipe likert. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non-probability sampling khususnya sampel jenuh yang melibatkan 105 karyawan PT. Sabina Tirta Utama Samarinda. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi product moment dengan bantuan program Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 22.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara etos kerja dan komitmen organisasi dengan r hitung> r tabel = 0,335> 0,191 dan p = 0,000 <0,050. Artinya hubungan dalam penelitian ini lemah dan semakin tinggi komitmen organisasi maka semakin tinggi pula etos kerja yang dimiliki oleh karyawan PT. Sabina Tirta Utama Samarinda.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui cemaran residu antibiotik, Salmonella, formalin, serta mengetahui nilai pH pada daging ayam broiler di pasar tradisional dan pasar swalayan Kota Surakarta. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 30 sampel daging ayam broiler bagian paha yang diperoleh dari pasar tradisional dan pasar swalayan di Kota Surakarta. Pengujian sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Produksi Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Sebelas Maret dan di Balai Besar Veteriner (BBVet) Wates Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat residu antibiotik golongan penisilin pada 13,33% sampel yang berasal dari swalayan. Selain itu, residu antibiotik golongan makrolida juga ditemukan pada 26,67% sampel dari pasar tradisional dan 66,67% sampel dari pasar swalayan. Cemaran Salmonella ditemukan pada 6,67% sampel dari pasar tradisional. Hasil uji formalin menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel daging negatif mengandung formalin. Nilai pH sampel daging pada penelitian ini adalah normal, yaitu 5,73±0,46 untuk sampel dari pasar tradisional dan 5,73±0,59 untuk sampel dari swalayan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat residu antibiotik golongan penisilin pada daging ayam broiler dari pasar swalayan, dan golongan makrolida pada daging ayam broiler di kedua jenis pasar. Cemaran Salmonella ditemukan pada daging ayam broiler di pasar tradisional, namun tidak ditemukan adanya cemaran formalin. Nilai pH daging ayam broiler di pasar tradisional dan swalayan di Kota Surakarta tergolong normal.

Abstract

The availability of ruminant feed in terms of amount and nutritional adequacy is a common problem during the dry season. This condition is worst at the peak of the dry season (July - October) such as that faced by the Kelompok Tani Rukun Binantu of Rejosari in Bantul Regency - Yogyakarta. Pre-survey shows that the cost of feed in the dry season is uncompetitive to the price of cattle. This problem was solved by Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM – UNS) 2020 with workshop in cattle feed preservation using silage and fermentation techniques. The silage technique is used in conventional-local forage, while the fermentation technique is aimed at preserving low-nutrient animal feed as well as improving digestibility and nutritional adequacy of the feed. Product’s monitoring and evaluation are carried out after 7 days for fermentation technique and 21 days for silage technique. The program is success in solving of Mitra’s problems and it is also one of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi in technology transfer for rural communities.
