Abstract

Alat permainan edukatif (APE) merupakan permainan yang mampu memberikan pengetahuan dan kemampuan anak. APE yang digunakan adalah alat untuk bermain anak. APE sejatinya dibuat oleh guru sebelum memberikan pelajaran. Integrasi sains dalam permainan edukatif sangat menunjang guna membekali siswa PAUD dalam memiliki literasi sains sejak dini. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang APE dan sains Dasar, meningkatkan kreatifitas dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat APE berbasis sains serta mampu menerapkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam PkM ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) berupa: 1) metode ceramah untuk memberikan gambaran materi APE berbasis sains yang telah disiapkan tim PkM; 2) metode latihan berupa pemilihan alat dan bahan serta merangkai menjadi APE; dan 3) metode mentoring ketika guru pada saat menerapkan APE berbasis sains dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil dari PkM ini, guru PAUD mampu membuat APE berbais sains serta mampu mengimplementasikan dalam permainan dan pembelajaran.   AbstractEducational Game Tools are some games those are able to provide knowledge and abilities for children. The children playing tools were used. Educational game tools are actually made by teacher before giving lessons. Integration of science in educational games strongly support to equip early childhood in having scientific literacy in early age. The objectives of this Community Service were to increase knowledge about Educational Game Tools and basic science, improve creativity and skills of teachers in making science-based Educational Game Tools, and apply it in learning. The method used Participatory Action Research (PAR): 1) lecture method to give an overview of science-based Educational Game Tools that had been prepared by the Community Service team; 2) training method, selecting tools, materials, and arranging them into Educational Game Tools; and 3) mentoring method when teachers used science-based Educational Game Tools in learning at school. The result of this Community Service, early childhood teachers can create science-based Educational Game Tools and competent to implement in games and learning.

Abstract

The facts of learning in education showed that students were less encouraged to develop metacognitive skills and creative thinking skills, so that students were not active and students were less likely to participate in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the correlation of metacognitive skills with creative thinking skills of class XI students in biology subjects. The subjects of this study were students of class XI A IPA at MA Miftahul Ulum Nagasari Congkop in the second semester of academic year 2021/2022, totaling 24 students. This research is quantitative research with regression correlation analysis technique using SPSS Version 26.0. Collecting data on metacognitive skills and creative thinking skills using a rubric that was integrated with an essay test. The results of this study indicated that there was a significant relationship between metacognitive skills and creative thinking skills. Results of the regression analysis showed a large R value of 0.616 which indicated that there was a strong relationship between metacognitive skills and creative thinking skills. The guided inquiry model is the recommended model in empowering metacognitive and creative thinking skills, especially in learning biology.

Abstract

Mangrove inventory is important for monitoring and supporting building mangrove management strategies in the future. Until now, there has been no data collection on what types of mangroves grow in the coastal area of The Legend Pademawu. This study aims to record what types of mangroves exist in the area. Data on mangrove species were collected using exploratory descriptive methods. The results showed that mangroves found in the coastal area of The Legend Padelegans Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency amounted to 11 species grouped into 7 families. Most mangrove species are dominated by the Rhizoporaceae family which amounts to 3 species. Following up on the findings in this study, in the future it is necessary to carry out mangrove ventilation for monitoring and supporting in building mangrove management strategies in the future.

Abstract

Abstrak. Proses pembelajaran di abad 21 menuntut siswa untuk aktif dalam mencari, menemukan, dan menggunakan pengetahuan agar dapat memahami suatu konsep dengan atau tanpa bantuan guru. Oleh sebab itu, penting untuk memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir siswa dalam pembelajaran, termasuk keterampilan metakognitif. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui korelasi antara keterampilan metakognitif dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA A di SMA Bustanul Mubtadiin semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasi regresi menggunakan program SPSS 25.0. Pengumpulan data keterampilan metakognitif menggunakan rubrik yang terintegrasi dengan tes tertulis essay, sedangkan motivasi belajar menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara keterampilan metakognitif dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan besar nilai R sebesar 0.517 yang menunjukkan hubungan yang sedang antara keterampilan metakognitif dengan motivasi belajar. Adapun model Problem-based Learning mampu menjadi model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan dalam memberdayakan keterampilan metakognitif dengan motivasi belajar siswa, terutama pada pembelajaran biologi. Therefore, it is important to empower students' thinking skills in learning, including metacognitive skills. This research is quantitative research with regression correlation analysis technique using SPSS 25.0. Data collection for metacognitive skills used a rubric that was integrated with an essay test, while learning motivation used a questionnaire. The results of this study indicated that there was a relationship between metacognitive skills and students' learning motivation. The results of the regression analysis showed a large R value of 0.517 which showed a moderate relationship between metacognitive skills and learning motivation. The Problem-based Learning model is able to become a recommended learning model in empowering metacognitive skills with student learning motivation, especially in learning biology.

Abstract

Today's education requires students to manage their learning independently, so that students can set learning goals, set strategies, and even evaluate learning, so that students' understanding of concepts increases. This is related to the learning model used, one of which is guided inquiry. This study aims to determine the influence of guided inquiry on the understanding of the concept of evolution. This study is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent pretes-postes control group design The subjects in this study are students of class XII IPA MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Class XII Science B is an experimental class with 32 students, while class XII Science C is a control class with 31 students. Sampling was carried out by random sampling technique. The hypothesis test in this study uses the Unpaired T Test. The results showed that there was no influence of guided inquiry on the understanding of the concept of evolution. However, guided inquiry remains a reference for a learning model that can empower a variety of skills for students. Researchers should then consider the factors of student readiness, especially in student habits and learning styles, time factors, and teachers or researchers should have mastered the learning model to be used.

Abstract

Penyediaan sumber daya pengajaran yang lebih luas dan inovatif seperti modul pembelajaran sangat penting untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang efektif terutama di sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul keanekaragaman hayati berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk kelas X MA di lingkungan sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4-D (define, design, development, dan dissemination). Validasi dilakukan oleh satu ahli materi, satu ahli desain, dan satu guru biologi. Responden terbatas hanya terdiri dari enam siswa kelas X IPA MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner checklist menggunakan rating scale dan dilakukan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul memperoleh nilai dengan kriteria layak, dari segi materi (72,34%), segi desain (91,12%), guru biologi (83,33%), dan respon siswa (84%). Dengan ini, modul keanekaragaman hewan berbasis inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan di sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa di MTs Mutiara Hikmah Al-Jubail. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain posttest only control group, melibatkan 26 siswa kelas VIII yang dibagi dalam kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan PBL) dan kelompok kontrol (metode ceramah). Instrumen keaktifan dan motivasi telah divalidasi untuk mengukur efek perlakuan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PBL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keaktifan siswa (p < 0,001) dengan peningkatan rerata yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok eksperimen. Namun, PBL tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (p = 0,417). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa PBL dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar secara signifikan, namun faktor kontekstual perlu diperhatikan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dalam lingkungan belajar yang berbeda. The Effect of Problem-Based Learning on Student Engagement and Motivation at Madrasah Abstract This study examines the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on student engagement and motivation at MTs Mutiara Hikmah Al-Jubail. Using a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design, the study involved 26 eighth-grade students divided into an experimental group (PBL) and a control group (lecture-based method). Validated engagement and motivation instruments were used to measure treatment effects. Results indicate that PBL significantly enhances student engagement (p < 0.001), with a higher mean increase in the experimental group. However, PBL did not show a significant effect on learning motivation (p = 0.417). The study concludes that while PBL effectively increases student engagement, contextual factors should be considered to boost motivation in diverse learning environments.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar yang inovatif dan menarik sangat penting dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji buku saku biologi berbasis model ADDIE yang praktis dan menarik bagi siswa kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang melibatkan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk akhir divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media, serta diuji pada kelompok siswa melalui desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa buku saku memiliki kelayakan yang baik dengan skor 78% dari ahli materi dan 73% dari ahli media. Uji coba pada siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam minat baca, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 16,5 menjadi 25,1 (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa buku saku biologi berbasis model ADDIE efektif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Buku saku ini diharapkan menjadi bahan ajar alternatif yang mendukung pembelajaran mandiri dan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar. Development of an ADDIE-Based Biology Pocket Book to Enhance Reading Interest among Eleventh-Grade High School Students Abstract Innovative and engaging instructional materials are crucial in enhancing students’ interest in learning. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an ADDIE-based biology pocket book designed to be practical and appealing for eleventh-grade high school students. The Research and Development (R&D) approach was applied using the ADDIE model, encompassing need analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The final product was validated by subject and media experts and tested on a group of students using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Validation results indicated high feasibility with scores of 78% from the subject expert and 73% from the media expert. Testing on students showed a significant increase in reading interest, with the average score rising from 16.5 to 25.1 (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the ADDIE-based biology pocket book effectively enhances students’ reading interest. The pocket book is expected to serve as an alternative instructional material that supports independent learning and boosts student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are one of the skills required to be developed in 21st-century education. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the collaboration skills of Islamic boarding school students. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted at MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan, even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Collaboration skills data was collected through observation sheets and then analyzed using the t-test to determine differences in collaboration skills in the control and experimental group. The results showed that the implementation of PBL in learning could improve the collaboration skills of Islamic boarding school students (Sig. <.05). The results of this study indicate that the PBL learning model can be used as a reference for learning models to develop students' collaboration skills.
