Abstract

As the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has a promising potential of halal food industry in terms of economic and market values. This research aims at analyzing factors affecting consumers’ decision in purchasing MUI halal-certified food products by employing survey method and descriptive analysis approach. Three hundred respondents are selected using non-probability convenience sampling technique and are analyzed using multiple regression. The criteria of the respondents are Muslim and have bought Indonesian halal-certified food products in the last one-month. While the dependent variable in this study is purchasing decision (Y), the four independent variables are cultural and religious factors (X1), social factor (X2), personal factor (X3) and psychological factor (X4). This study finds that the four independent factors significantly influence consumers’ decision in purchasing MUI halal-certified food products. However, social factor are negatively related with the consumers’ purchasing decision. This study is expected to deliver the information on the halal food purchasing decisions from the perspective of the customers in order to provide recommendations to develop halal food industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study attempts to formulate strategies in strengthening the role of zakat boards and institutions in Indonesia from the perspectives of three zakat experts and practitioners by employing Analytical Network Process (ANP) method. While the indicators of zakat institutions’ performance measured in this study are based on the National Zakat Indices (abbreviated as NZI), the alternatives of strategy are constructed through study of literatures. This study suggests that among four zakat institutions’ indicators, the reporting of zakat shared the highest portion of the important indicators of amil’s performance, followed by the collection, distribution and management of zakat. Besides that, the study also finds that there are strategies that needs to be given top priorities based on its order including optimizing zakat distribution program, strengthening Information and Technology (IT) system, strengthening zakat regulation, improving database of zakat payers and beneficiaries, strengthening the synergy between zakat boards, institutions and other zakat stakeholders, strengthening human resources and improving socialization as well as education pertaining to zakat and the role of zakat boards and institutions.

Abstract

As the third pillar of Islam, zakat should be considered as one of the main concerned areas for Muslims. Zakat is believed to be able to have an impact on society in terms of economic, educational, and social aspects. One of the indicators of the success of zakat distribution is its impact on reducing the poverty rate, empowering economic conditions, and improving the well-being of its beneficiaries. According to Quran At Taubah verse 60 and 103, the recipients of zakat fund has been determined and the payment of zakat fund should be made through transparent, trustworthy, and professional zakat institutions. This shows the importance of zakat distribution that should be in line with Islamic law as well as a formal regulation. This study, hence, attempts to examine the eight groups who are eligible to receive zakat funds from the perspectives of Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary economic analysis. This study employs a descriptive analysis method from secondary data including classical and contemporary references. This study also provides some recommendations for zakat institutions with respect to the zakat distribution programs.

Abstract

Kafaah in marriage is one of the factors that encourage the creation of happiness and more guarantees women's safety from husband and wife failure and more guarantees women's safety from failure or household turmoil. Based on the research results, first Jumhur ulama' explained that the concept of kafa'ah is not evaluated in terms of religion alone, but in Islamic Law, kafa'ah is measured from religious matters. The Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) in determining the kafa'ah of marriage is more judgmental in terms of religion. Prevention of marriage can be done in certain matters that are discussed through KHI Article 60 Paragraph, second, that is prevention of marriage can be done if the prospective husband or prospective wife does not meet the requirements of marriage according to the law and Islamic law, because one of the content of the conditions of marriage is both couples are said to be valid when done in accordance with the laws of their respective religions. Third, the concept of kafa'ah of Wahbah Az-Zuhaili's view is in line with Imam Malik's opinion, which considers equality only in religion and conditions. The meaning of this condition is to be safe from the shame that makes a woman choose a candidate when she wants to get married. Wahbah Az-Zuhaili analyzed it in accordance with daily life in the community, 3) things that can affect the occurrence of harmony in the household, namely between husband and wife having compatibility. Abstract

21st century teachers are required to be able to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) in the learning process. In addition, teachers must be able to equip students with skills needed in the 21st century, one of which is communication skills. Science as a subject studied since elementary school is related to communication skills.  Therefore, this study aims to develop a project-based learning science learning e-module to improve the communication skills of grade 5 elementary school/ MI students. In addition, this study is focused on knowing the development process, feasibility and effectiveness in improving students' communication skills. The development of the e-module is carried out using the Research and Development (R&D) 4D model and data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and questionnaires. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out by measuring the validity of the e-module by material experts, linguists and media experts while to determine the effectiveness of normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests of independent samples t-test.  Based on the overall feasibility test results, a score of 81.9% was obtained, which means that the e-modules that have been developed are very valid and suitable for use in science learning. In addition, the effectiveness test was carried out using the SPSS FOR Windows 26 application from posttest and pretest data in the control class and experimental class, obtained Sig. (2-Tailed) results of 0.001 or less than 0.05 which means there is a significant difference. Thus, it can be concluded that the project-based learning e-module of science learning is declared effective for improving students' communication skills. Selain itu, guru harus mampu membekali siswa dengan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di abad 21, salah satunya keterampilan komunikasi. IPA sebagai mata pelajaran yang dipelajari sejak SD berkaitan dengan keterampilan komunikasi.  Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis project based learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa kelas 5 SD/MI. Selain itu, penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan, kelayakan dan keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Pengembangan e-modul dilakukan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model 4D dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi serta angket. Adapun, analisis data dilakukan dengan mengukur validitas e-modul oleh ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media sedangkan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dilakukan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis independent samples t-test.  Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan secara keseluruhan diperoleh skor 81,9% yang berarti e-modul yang telah dikembangkan sangat valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Selain itu, uji efektivitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS FOR Windows 26 dari data posttest dan pretest di kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, didapatkan hasil Sig.(2-Tailed) 0,001 atau kurang dari 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis project based learning dinyatakan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa.

Abstract

Islamic economics has been growing immensely for almost four decades since the First International Conference on Islamic economics held in Makkah in February 1976. Many improvements on developing Islamic economics as an independent discipline have been done by many scholars. One of the most prominent contemporary scholars who have made some significant work in building Islamic economics by combining the existing modern economics with Islamic teaching is Zubair Hasan. Therefore, the main objective of the study is to provide a summary and analysis of Hasan’s economic thought on Islamic economics. The study is based on secondary data, taken from some books, articles, and journal that Hasan has produced. This study uses a descriptive analysis and employs an inductive approach in tracking and collecting materials and references written by Zubair Hasan from 1975 to 2014. The analytical approach was used to identify Hasan’s thought on several topics in the area of Islamic economics. The study suggests Hasan views on Islamic economics are comprehensive and cover almost all aspects that Islamic economics needs to explain. This includes underlying assumptions, scope of objectives, the role of state and individual, institutional frameworks, distribution, and profit in Islam. His analysis is basically a critical integration between modern economics with Islamic heritage.

Abstract

This research addresses the issue of how ZIS funds are managed at the UPZ of Tajurhalang District in the development of micro enterprises, as well as the effectiveness of UPZ programs in assisting micro entrepreneurs. The purpose of this study is to understand the management of ZIS funds for developing micro enterprises in Tajurhalang District and to explore the efforts and implementation of productive business capital programs at UPZ. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which describes the issues occurring in the field. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that effective management is essential for successful fundraising activities, as gathering and managing funds is not easy and involves various processes and dynamics. There must be a management process in fundraising, including planning, organizing, executing, and monitoring. ZIS funds, which were initially managed in non-productive sectors, can now be redirected to productive sectors.

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of audio-visual learning media on the learning outcomes of students in the Islamic cultural history subject in seventh grade at MTs. Al-Ahsan Kota Bogor. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the learning outcomes of Islamic cultural history for the control group in MTs. Al-Ahsan Kota Bogor, (2) to assess the learning outcomes of Islamic cultural history for the experimental group in MTs. Al-Ahsan Kota Bogor, (3) to examine the influence of audio-visual learning media on the learning outcomes of students in the seventh-grade Islamic cultural history subject at MTs. Al-Ahsan Kota Bogor. The research employs a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental method, with data collected through learning outcome tests administered to 59 students in the control group and 59 students in the experimental group. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the average post-test learning outcome score for the experimental group is 91.81, (2) the average post-test learning outcome score for the control group is 75.14, (3) the independent sample t-test yields a t-value of 11.767 with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a significant influence of audio-visual learning media on the learning outcomes of students in the Islamic cultural history subject in seventh grade at MTs. Al-Ahsan Kota Bogor. Therefore, the research accepts the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejects the null hypothesis (Ho). Consequently, if schools aim to enhance student learning outcomes, they should develop effective learning media to create a conducive and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

The background of problem in this study is there are still students who are not fluent in reading the Qur'an and tajweed law. The objectives of this study are (1) To find out how the PAI teacher's strategy in improving the ability to read the Qur'an. (2) To find out how the implementation of PAI teachers in improving the ability to read the Qur'an according to the Law of Tajweed. (3) To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the ability to read the Qur'an. The method used in this research is qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that. (1) teachers are highly required use a variety of strategies. Teachers use sorogan method to determine student abilities. (2) teacher carries out learning regularly, the teacher focuses students on learning the law of dead nun, the teacher gives awards students who always obey the rules as well the teacher will give punishment to students who violate. (3) supporting factors for teachers are existence of great teachers, supporting facilities and infrastructure the support and encouragement of parents, while the inhibiting factor is the narrow learning time. Abstrak Latar belakang masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu masih ada siswa yang belum lancar dalam membaca Alquran dan hukum tajwid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran. (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksaan guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran Sesuai Hukum Tajwid. (3) Untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa. (1) guru sangat dituntut untuk menggunakan berbagai macam strategi. Guru menggunakan metode sorogan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa. (2) guru melaksanakan pembelajaran secara rutin, Guru memfokuskan siswa mempelajari hukum nun mati, guru memberikan penghargaan untuk siswa yang selalu menaati aturan begitu juga guru akan memberikan hukuman untuk siswa yang melanggar. (3) faktor pendukung guru adanya pengajar yang hebat, sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung dan adanya dukungan dan dorongan dari orang tua, adapun faktor penghambat yaitu waktu belajar yang sempit.
