Abstract

This study examines human resource management (HRM) in enhancing teacher professionalism at Pondok Pesantren Almunawwaroh Tahfiz Walhadist Sungai Misang. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research reveals that teacher professionalism encompasses not only pedagogical competence but also moral integrity, scholarly commitment, and multifaceted roles as educators, spiritual mentors, and community leaders. The pesantren’s HRM system integrates Islamic values into planning, morally grounded recruitment, continuous training, multi-source performance evaluation, and genuine support for teacher well-being, despite financial constraints. Enabling factors include visionary leadership, a spiritually rooted learning culture, and institutional commitment to professional development. Key challenges involve limited funding, traditional management practices, and insufficient external collaboration. The pesantren’s success in producing graduates who excel academically while demonstrating spiritual maturity underscores how HRM aligned with Islamic principles; such as tazkiyah (self-purification), ikhlas (sincerity), and tawakkul (trust in God) can foster holistic education. These insights offer valuable lessons for both religious and mainstream educational institutions on harmonising professional standards with ethical and spiritual foundations

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya unsur kebaruan (Novelty) dalam sebuah penelitian. Unsur kebaruan merupakan akumulasi adanya satu atau beberapa unsur pembeda dalam sebuah riset. Maka, penelitian akan menampakkan unsur novelty yang sangat kuat ketika ia berguna bagi kehidupan. Pentingnya novelty dari sebuah penelitian memiliki banyak manfaat; selain untuk memperluas pengetahuan, Novelty juga dapat memperkuat keandalan dari pengetahuan baru yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah ini adalah dengan melakukan kajian literatur yang mendalam terhadap topik yang dibahas. Selanjutnya, data yang didapat dianalisis dan direduksi sesuai dengan relevansi pembahasan dari artikel ini. Sebagai temuan, penulis menampilkan tujuan dari unsur novelty, jenis-jenis novelty, cara menemukan dan menentukan novelty dari sebuah penelitian

Abstract

Setiap  penelitian   selalu  diawali dengan pertanyaan mengenai satu atau beberapa kelompok individual atau objek tertentu. Tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep populasi dan sampling serta pemilihan partisipan ditinjau dari penelitian ilmiah pendidikan. Pendekatan dalam makalah ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam makalah ini menggunakan dokumentasi, yakni berupa buku-buku yang relevan dengan tema makalah serta jurnal-jurnal yang terpublikasi secara online. Teknik analisa data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari makalah ini Pertama populasi adalah seluruh data yang menjadi perhatian kita dalam suatu ruang lingkup dan waktu yang kita tentukan, sampel adalah sebagai bagian dari populasi, sebagai contoh (monster) yang diambil dengan menggunakan cara-cara tertentu, teknik sampling adalah cara untuk menentukan sampel yang jumlahnya sesuai dengan ukuran sampel yang akan dijadikan sumber data sebenarnya, dengan memperhatikan sifat-sifat dan penyebaran populasi agar diperoleh sampel yang representatif, teknik sampling dikelompokkan menjadi dua yaitu probability sampling dan nonprobability sampling. Kedua partisipan penelitian adalah sebagai semua orang atau manusia yang berpatisipasi atau ikut serta dalam suatu kegiatan penelitian, sehingga partisipan merupakan bagian subjek yang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan mental dan emosi secara fisik sebagai informan untuk memberikan respon terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan, dan mendukung pencapaian tujuan kegiatan, serta bertanggung jawab atas keterlibatannya.

Abstract

Berhasil atau tidaknya suatu penelitian ilmiah pendidikan tidak lepas dari teknik pengumpulan data dan instumen penelitian yang digunakan. Tujuan makalah  ini adalah untuk membahas tentang teknik pengumpulan data dan instrumen penelitian ilmiah pendidikan pada pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Makalah ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, dimana penulis mengumpulkan referensi berupa buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan tema dalam makalah ini. Hasil makalah ini dapat diuraikan bahwa dalam penelitian kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang umum digunakan antara lain wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, wawancara melibatkan interaksi langsung antara peneliti dan responden untuk mendapatkan data berupa pandangan, pengalaman, dan persepsi mereka, observasi melibatkan pengamatan langsung terhadap subjek penelitian, studi dokumentasi melibatkan pengumpulan data dari dokumen, arsip, atau bahan tertulis lainnya. Sementara itu, dalam penelitian kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang umum digunakan adalah angket atau kuesioner, observasi terstruktur, eksperimen, angket atau kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui pertanyaan yang telah disusun sebelumnya, observasi terstruktur melibatkan pengamatan yang telah dirancang sebelumnya dengan variabel-variabel yang telah ditentukan, eksperimen melibatkan manipulasi variabel-variabel tertentu untuk melihat dampaknya terhadap variabel lainnya. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian kualitatif meliputi panduan wawancara, daftar periksa observasi, pedoman dokumentasi, sedangkan dalam penelitian kuantitatif, instrumen penelitian meliputi angket atau kuesioner, daftar periksa observasi terstruktur, instrumen pengukuran dalam eksperimen.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang bagaimana metode grounded theory diterapkan dalam sebuah riset kualitatif. Riset kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode grounded theory dimulai dari data untuk mencapai suatu teori dan bukan dimulai dari teori atau untuk menguji suatu teori, sehingga dalam riset grounded theory diperlukan adanya berbagai prosedur atau langkah-langkah yang sistematis dan terencana dengan baik. Prosedur riset kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode grounded theory terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: 1) tahap perumusan masalah, 2) tahap penggunaan kajian teoritis (bila perlu), 3) tahap pengumpulan data dan penyampelan, 4) tahap analisis data, dan 5) tahap penyimpulan atau penulisan laporan. Namun demikian, kelima tahapan riset grounded theory tersebut terjadi secara simultan. Peneliti mengamati, mengumpulkan dan mengorganisasi data serta membentuk teori dari data pada waktu bersamaan. Salah satu teknik penting dalam riset grounded theory adalah proses komparasi konstan (tetap) di mana setiap data dibandingkan dengan semua data lainnya satu persatu. Data dapat dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, pencatatan, atau kombinasi dari cara-cara tersebut. Kualitas riset grounded theory sangat ditentukan oleh langkah-langkah tersebut yang dilakukan secara baik, benar, dan disiplin

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of leadership style, organizational systems, and work motivation on the effectiveness of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) in Jambi Province. The study focuses on understanding how leadership, organizational management, and teacher motivation can impact the operational success of Islamic high schools (Madrasah Aliyah) in this region. Using a quantitative approach, the research employs path analysis to assess the relationship between these variables. The results indicate that leadership style, organizational systems, and work motivation each significantly affect the performance and effectiveness of these institutions. The study highlights the importance of a well-structured leadership style and an effective organizational system in fostering an environment conducive to educational success. Additionally, teacher motivation is identified as a key factor influencing both individual and institutional performance. These findings provide valuable insights for educational leaders and policymakers aiming to enhance the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah institutions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between social media and online gameuse and student learning behavior in the Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed) subject atMAN 3 Jambi City. The study used a quantitative approach with correlationalmethods. The sample consisted of 251 students selected using proportionaterandom sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire based onindicators for each variable and analyzed using product-moment correlation andmultiple correlation. The results showed a positive and significant relationshipbetween social media use and learning behavior (R = 0.4445; KD = 19.75%) andbetween online games and learning behavior (R = 0.4627; KD = 21.41%).Simultaneously, both significantly influenced learning behavior (F-count = 64.717 >F-table = 3.03). This study concludes that social media and online games, as partof students' digital reality, have a strong relationship with learning behavior inAqidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed) learning. Therefore, the use of digital technologyneeds to be directed wisely to support character-based and spiritual education.

Abstract

Research ethics serve as the moral foundation of scholarly work, emphasizing integrity, honesty, and social responsibility in producing authentic and beneficial research. However, ethical violations persist among academics due to factors such as easy access to information that promotes careless plagiarism, pressure to publish, inadequate competence, and limited understanding of ethical principles. This uneven awareness of ethical values highlights the need for continuous reinforcement. Using a qualitative approach and literature review method, this article examines the core principles of research ethics, researchers’ codes of conduct, common ethical violations, and strategies to strengthen ethical awareness. The findings reveal that consistent application of ethical standards requires clear regulations, structured training, and a sustained culture of integrity. Ultimately, research ethics should not be viewed merely as formal compliance, but as intrinsic moral values that define the identity of a responsible and professional researcher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between teachers’ professional competence, madrasah culture, and work commitment toward teacher job satisfaction in State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTsN) across the Riau Islands Province. The research population consists of teachers from 13 madrasahs, with the sample selected through cluster sampling representing three regional zones: east, central, and west. A total of 90 teachers were sampled, comprising 30 teachers for instrument try-out and 60 teachers as the primary research participants. Using a quantitative method with a correlational approach, this study examines the individual and simultaneous contributions of each variable.The findings indicate that teachers’ professional competence which includes mastery of subject matter, pedagogical skills, and managerial abilities enhances job satisfaction by strengthening confidence and task effectiveness. A strong and consistent madrasah culture characterized by discipline, collaboration, religiosity, and a harmonious work climate also contributes significantly to teacher job satisfaction by fostering a supportive institutional environment. Teacher work commitment likewise plays an important role, as highly dedicated and loyal teachers tend to experience greater job satisfaction. Collectively, the three variables demonstrate a significant combined relationship, reinforcing the notion that job satisfaction results from the interaction of professional, cultural, and psychological dimensions within educational institutions. These findings highlight the need for strengthening teacher competence, institutional culture, and work commitment to develop motivated and high-performing educators

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between Leadership Responsibility, Reward Giving, and Promotion on Employee Dedication within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Riau Islands Province. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method to determine the extent to which these three variables influence employee dedication both individually and simultaneously. The research sample was selected using cluster sampling, representing the central region (Karimun Regency), eastern region (Tanjungpinang City), and western region (Natuna Regency), totaling 72 respondents, of which 52 were used as the main sample and 20 as a trial sample. The findings indicate that leadership responsibility positively affects employee dedication, emphasizing the importance of leaders who provide clear guidance, foster effective communication, and create a work environment that supports motivation and performance. Reward giving is shown to enhance Employee Dedication by motivating them to achieve work targets and strengthening organizational loyalty. Meanwhile, promotion serves as a career incentive that encourages commitment and responsibility in task execution. Simultaneous analysis shows that these three variables collectively contribute significantly to improving employee dedication. These findings underscore that a combination of responsible leadership, an effective reward system, and transparent promotion policies can strengthen loyalty, commitment, and work ethic among employees in the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study provides important implications for human resource management development in the public sector, particularly in strategies aimed at enhancing employee performance and dedication through appropriate managerial policies.
