Abstract

Beginning reading ability is a fundamental skill that must be mastered by first-grade elementary school students, as it serves as the foundation for future academic success. However, early reading instruction is still predominantly implemented using conventional methods that tend to be monotonous and less engaging, resulting in low reading proficiency among students. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 28 first-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Ngingit in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ beginning reading abilities. In the pre-cycle stage, only 21.43% of students were categorized as fluent readers. After the implementation of the Pohon Aksara media in Cycle I, the percentage increased to 42.86%, and further improved significantly to 82.14% in Cycle II. The Pohon Aksara media is recommended as an effective alternative instructional medium to enhance early literacy in lower-grade elementary school classrooms.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology in education, teachers and students can now quickly search for and access various scientific information through the internet. Technology-based media in the learning process offer numerous benefits for both educators and learners. This study aims to develop a web-based E-Module integrated with the Kahoot application as an interactive learning medium for fifth-grade elementary students in Indonesian language subjects. The background of this research is based on the learning conditions at SDN Trawas 2, where instruction is still dominated by lecture methods and the use of student worksheets (LKS), with limited utilization of digital technology, resulting in relatively low student motivation, participation, and comprehension. This research employed the R&D method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The resulting product is an interactive E-Module containing learning materials, summaries, practice questions, and Kahoot-based learning games. Validation results from media, content, and language experts indicated that the product was highly feasible, with percentages of 96.4%, 98%, and 100%, respectively. The practicality test showed highly practical results, with scores of 97.2% from teachers, 95.5% from the small group, and 94.6% from the large group. The effectiveness test conducted through pretest and posttest yielded an N-Gain score of 80.9%, categorized as effective. Therefore, the web-based E-Module integrated with Kahoot is considered valid, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes, as well as in supporting active, enjoyable learning aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This service aims to improve the ability of teachers in the art of dance and can improve the learning of dance both intra and ekstrakurikuler in each school District Jabung. Activities ranging from first up to seven the session on 6-8 October 2017 at 08.00-16.00 began delivering material insights into art education, basic dance malangan motion, range of motion dance bantengan parts 1 to 3, followed by create design patterns floors and practice. The results of the implementation of the activities have been implemented according to the plan, it is expected that the teacher can innovate in the learning of dance, what has been accepted teacher applied in the learning that they carry out.

Abstract

Rendahnya capaian literasi numerasi di sekolah dasar tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor peserta didik, tetapi juga keterbatasan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun soal yang sesuai dengan karakteristik literasi numerasi dan tuntutan Asesmen Nasional. Kondisi ini ditemukan di SDIT Insan Mulia Bululawang, Kabupaten Malang, berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang menunjukkan soal evaluasi bersifat prosedural, minim konteks kehidupan nyata, dan belum menuntut penalaran siswa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memperkuat literasi numerasi melalui program pendampingan penyusunan soal literasi numerasi bagi guru sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah scientist–practitioner method melalui empat sesi pendampingan yang melibatkan 28 guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen soal sebelum dan sesudah pendampingan, lembar observasi, serta refleksi tertulis guru. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif sederhana dengan membandingkan skor kualitas soal berdasarkan indikator konteks, stimulus, dan tuntutan penalaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas soal dari kategori “cukup” menjadi “baik”. Kebaruan kegiatan ini terletak pada pendampingan intensif berbasis analisis dan revisi soal secara kolaboratif untuk mendukung penguatan literasi numerasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of use of teaching materials that support the learning process in Indonesian language subjects, especially fairy tales. This research aims to develop and produce a valid and practical Bahasapedia (Indonesian encyclopedia) product. The research method in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE development model. The test subjects for this research were material expert lecturers, language experts, teaching materials experts, teachers and class III students at SDN Sukun 1 Malang City. Data collection instruments use questionnaires and documentation. The validation results by experts were declared very suitable for use based on feasibility tests obtained from 97.91% of material experts, 94.44% of language experts and 95.45% of teaching materials experts. The results of the questionnaire from the teacher's response obtained 97.91% and the student questionnaire obtained 96.96% in the "Very Practical" category because this teaching material can foster interest and motivate students to read, marked by students' high expressions of enthusiasm and joy when reading Bahasapedia (Indonesian encyclopedia). Based on these results, this fairy tale-based Bahasapedia (Indonesian encyclopedia) can be categorized as valid and practical to use as accompanying teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of weight measurement among second-grade students at SDN Pisangcandi 2 Malang City, particularly in distinguishing and ordering objects based on their weight. This study aimed to improve students’ conceptual understanding through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by concrete media. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving 28 students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed an improvement in students’ conceptual understanding, indicated by an increase in the average score from 57.14 in the pre-cycle to 65.85 in Cycle I and 84.68 in Cycle II, as well as an increase in learning mastery from 36% to 50% and 82.14%. This improvement occurred because students learned through direct experiences in comparing and ordering objects using concrete media. Therefore, the implementation of CTL assisted by concrete media was effective in improving second-grade students’ understanding of weight measurement concepts.
