Abstract

This study aims to analyze soccer achievements at SMP Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur by identifying how students achieve these achievements and the factors that influence them. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation of soccer team students, physical education teachers, and coaches. The results of the study show that achievements are obtained through intensive training and sparring, periodic evaluations, and high self-confidence with social support. Factors influencing performance include: (1) a planned athlete development system with selection based on physical ability, technique, and experience; (2) optimization of limited facilities and infrastructure by borrowing village fields; (3) moral and material support from families and the community; (4) systematic training management covering technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects; and (5) high student motivation. The conclusion of the study is that despite limited facilities and infrastructure, soccer achievements can still be achieved with a good coaching system, positive environmental support, structured training management, and high student motivation. It is recommended that the government and schools improve the quality of teacher/coach training and conduct continuous evaluations to improve skills in coaching competitive sports.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan prestasi atlet bulutangkis di PB Tunas Jaya Kasturi Mayang Kota Jambi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dengan melibatkan 35 atlet remaja berusia 13–18 tahun yang aktif mengikuti program latihan dan berbagai kejuaraan. Instrumen pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 15 butir yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas, dengan seluruh item dinyatakan valid serta nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,934 (>0,514), sehingga instrumen dinyatakan reliabel. Prestasi atlet diukur melalui lembar observasi berdasarkan tingkat kejuaraan dan perolehan medali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 45,72% atlet memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori tinggi, 42,86% kategori sedang, dan 11,42% kategori rendah. Atlet dengan skor berpikir kritis di atas 70 cenderung memperoleh lebih dari dua medali, sedangkan atlet dengan skor di bawah 70 umumnya memperoleh kurang dari tiga medali atau tidak memperoleh medali sama sekali. Uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal (Asymp. Sig. = 0,182 > 0,05), dan uji linearitas membuktikan hubungan yang linear dan signifikan. Analisis korelasi Pearson menghasilkan koefisien r = 0,545 yang menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan tingkat korelasi sedang. Analisis regresi linear menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis berkontribusi sebesar 29,7% terhadap prestasi atlet. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembinaan atlet bulutangkis remaja.

Abstract

The instrument of creative thinking skills in the game of football is an assessment instrument in football sports courses. This instrument is used to measure students' creative thinking skills. This research aims to: (a) produce a feasible and qualified instrument to be used in the assessment of the level of creative thinking with the Rasch model approach in the Football course, and (b) find out the characteristics of the assessment instrument of the level of creative thinking with the Rasch model approach in the Football course. In this study, a modified development model based on the Wilson, Orindo, and Antonio model was used. This model has the following stages: a) compiling the initial design of the product; b) prepare research instruments for the initial design of the product; c) product validation and trial; and d) application in testing the products produced. This study uses a modified development model from Wilson, Orindo, and Antonio, which consists of three stages: (1) designing the test, (2) conducting test trials, and (3) conducting test measurements. The population in this study is 155 students who take football courses with total sampling techniques. The test instrument product is assessed by experts through a content validation sheet, where there are 2 experts, namely measurement experts (test construction experts) and sports education experts (material experts).  The results of the analysis in this study show that the test instrument is feasible and qualified to be used in measurement. The conclusions in this study are a) The test instrument has been proven to be valid by experts; b) The test instrument is in the high category based on the function of information.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Target Point training method on the accuracy of smashes in PB UNJA SMART athletes. Accurate smashes play an important role in the effectiveness of attacks, but initial observations indicate that the accuracy of athletes' smashes has not yet achieved the expected results. Therefore, a more focused training method is needed on shuttlecock control and target focus, one of which is through the application of the Target Point method. This study used an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design. The sample consisted of 10 athletes determined through a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a smash accuracy test with 30 trials with the target point as the target. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the inferential Paired Sample t-Test using SPSS version 26.0. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, so parametric analysis could be performed. The results showed an increase in smash accuracy after being given Target Point training. The average pretest score of 13.90 increased to 22.20 in the posttest. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), thus concluding that the Target Point method significantly improved the accuracy of athletes' smashes. Therefore, this method can be used as an alternative training program to improve smash accuracy.
