Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by students' systems thinking competence and digital literacy, which are still very low. This is due to the delivery of biodiversity material, which is still very conventional, and learning that is still teacher-centred. Therefore, this research will use the application of Lumi-based ESD learning. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing Lumi-based ESD learning to train systems thinking and digital literacy in the context of SDGs 15. Method: The type of research used in this research is Quasi Experiment with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, namely class X1 as the experimental class and X5 as the control class. The instruments used were systems thinking competency tests, digital literacy questionnaires, attitude scale sheets, and student response questionnaires. Results: The research results stated that the N-Gain Value of systems thinking competency in the experimental class was outstanding, with a value of 0.65 in the medium category compared to the control class, with a value of 0.29 in the low category. Meanwhile, the N-Gain digital literacy value of students in the experimental class, with a value of 0.45 in the medium category, was compared with the control class, with a value of 0.18 in the low category. Judging from the hypothesis test, systems thinking, and digital literacy show significant differences with both values at sig (2-tailed) 0.00. Conclusion: From this research, it can be concluded that applying Lumibased ESD learning affects practicing systems thinking and digital literacy in SDGs 15. The findings in this research are that applying Lumi-based ESD learning is much better for practicing systems thinking competencies than digital literacy.

Abstract

Background: Low collaboration competence and Self-awareness provided to students to face sustainable development because collaboration competence and Self-awareness have not been developed in learning activities, especially to overcome and face global issues in the 21st century. This study aims to apply learning with Project Based Learning to determine the effect on collaboration competence and self-awareness. This model is very rarely used because it requires careful preparation, Methods: The type of research used in this study is quasi-experimental research. The research design in this study used a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. In this design, the determination of the experimental class and control class is not randomly selected. Results: In collaboration and self-awareness competence, the test results obtained a sig value. 2-tailed 0.000 which indicates that there is a significant difference. A correlation test was carried out on Self-awareness competence where the test results between the two obtained a value of 0.596 which was in the medium category. This figure shows that collaboration competencies with Self-awareness competencies have a correlation and show a fairly strong relationship. Conclusion: The implementation of learning by applying an integrated project learning model ESD to the concept of climate change, states that project learning affects collaboration competence and self-awareness with a significance value from the results of the static independent sample T-test 0.000. In addition to these two competencies can be improved through project learning. Collaboration competence and self-awareness competence are positively correlated. With a correlation value of 0.596 belongs to the medium category.

Abstract

Background: Sustainable development has derivatives in the form of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), one of the supporters of sustainable development. One of the competencies contained in ESD is self-awareness, which needs to be supplied to students. In terms of providing self-awareness to students in the field of Education, there needs to be appropriate media, one of which is e-modules. Method: This study aims to develop an e-module for the context of flipped classroom-based ESD on the self-awareness of junior high school students. The type of research is Research and Development using the development of the ADDIE model, with stages (1) (Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation.  The study subjects were 18 students of grade VIII A SMPN 1 Sukabumi. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets for material experts, media experts, and linguists, pretest and post-test questions, attitude scale sheets, and response sheets to determine the effectiveness of e-modules and self-awareness competencies in students. Results: From the results of this study, an analysis was obtained based on interviews that the e-module of the flipped classroom-based ESD context on the self-awareness of junior high school students so that the development of an e-module with validation results stated that the e-module was included in the very valid category with a percentage of 91.3%, testing the effectiveness of the calculation of the N-Gain value states that the e-module is in the medium category with an average N-Gain of 0.62, the attitude scale sheet states that students have high self-awareness competence, the positive attitude scale is at a percentage of 86.2% which is very good and the response test states that this e-module is suitable for use with a percentage of 93.63% Conclusion: Development of e-module using the ADDIE model is feasible to use for self-awareness in the learning process
