Abstract

This study aims to examine the marketing efficiency of processed melinjo in women's farmer groups with data collected in Batang Regency, Central Java. Emping melinjo has contributed to providing additional work for mothers as a side business. The method used in this research is a survey of KWT Tani Rejo. Melinjo emping producer data was collected by purposive (deliberate) and traders' samples were done by snowball sampling and respondents were taken by census on all members of KWT Tani Rejo. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and calculated using margin analysis and farmer share. The results show that the first channel of emping melinjo marketing is the most efficient than the second and third channels. Producers accept higher prices and do not bear marketing costs, because they sell directly to consumers. Meanwhile, marketing efficiency on channels 2 and 3 is greater than 30%. Margins on channels 2 and 3 reached 40% and 16% respectively. Marketing actors include producers, collectors, wholesalers, agents, and retailers. The involvement of women in this business group is due to limited costs and access to market information.

Abstract

Ajibarang District has implemented “Pekarangan Pangan Lestari” Program (P2L) by empowering women farmer groups (KWT) in the villages. However, these women farmers face limitations in knowledge and skills, necessitating the role of field agricultural extension workers (PPL). Field conditions reveal that one extension worker is responsible for three villages, leading to less effective support. Additionally, there are issues concerning the KWT management in sustaining the program. The aim of this research is to determine the level of PPL's role and the success of the P2L program, identify the factors affecting the success of the P2L program, and assess the impact of PPL's role on the success of the P2L program. The research was conducted in the villages of Tiparkidul, Darmakradenan, and Banjarsari in Ajibarang District, Banyumas Regency. Data collection used total sampling or census, involving 69 women farmers who have benefited from the P2L program. Data analysis methods included validity testing, reliability testing, scoring analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that internal factors affecting the success of the P2L program among women farmers include education level, yard area, and farming duration. Age does not have a significant impact on the success of the P2L program. The role of PPL emerges as a significant external factor influencing the success of the P2L program in Ajibarang District.

Abstract

The relatively high poverty rate in Banyumas Regency is partly influenced by the high unemployment rate. The existence of MSMEs is one sector that has the potential to provide a solution to this problem. However, many MSME players still face obstacles, especially in terms of access to capital. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the characteristics of MSMEs that receive productive zakat and analyzing the influence of productive zakat, business capital, production costs, and labor on the income of agribusiness-based MSMEs under the guidance of LAZISMU Banyumas Regency. The research method used was a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. The data collected consisted of primary and secondary data through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The research population included 167 owners of agribusiness-based MSMEs who had received benefits from the productive zakat program, with a research sample of 63 MSMEs selected using a simple random sampling method. Data analysis was conducted through descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, and multiple regression using SPSS software version 26. The results of the study indicate that productive zakat, business capital, production costs, and labor simultaneously have a significant effect on increasing MSME income.
