Abstract

Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are at increased risk of developing multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). In Indonesia, data regarding the characteristics and risk factors for MDR-TB among diabetic populations remain limited. Managing MDR-TB in individuals with T2DM is complicated by potential drug interactions and challenges associated with poor glycemic control. This study aimed to assess the association between glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and the risk of developing MDR-TB among T2DM patients at Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan. A case-control analytical study was conducted using secondary data from medical records. A total of 120 participants were, including 60 MDR-TB cases and 60 drug-sensitive tuberculosis controls. Variables analyzed included age, sex, education, employment status, body mass index, smoking status, and HbA1c levels. Statistical analyses involved chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression. Multivariate analysis identified smoking as the strongest risk factor for MDR-TB, followed by poor glycemic control, indicated by elevated HbA1c levels. Smoking substantially increases the risk of MDR-TB among patients with T2DM, with smokers being twelve times more likely to develop MDR-TB. These findings emphasize the need to integrate smoking cessation initiatives into MDR-TB prevention and management strategies targeting diabetic populations.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of brand image and price on purchasing decisions for Make Over cosmetics partially and simultaneously. This research uses quantitative methods with a literature review design. The population in this study were consumers of Make Over cosmetics in Medan City. In this study, the sample used was 100 Make Over cosmetics users. The data used is primary data by distributing questionnaires via Google Form and secondary data obtained through journals and articles related to my research. The results of this research show that the brand image and price variables significantly influence purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, trust and customer satisfaction on consumer loyalty maxim in the city of Medan. The influence of service quality, trust and customer satisfaction will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on Maxim customer loyalty in Medan City. The research method used is associative research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were Maxim consumers in Medan City, with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires which were distributed via google form, while secondary data was obtained through library data. Methods of data analysis using instrument test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research conducted show that the variables of service quality (X1), trust (X2) and customer satisfaction (X3) have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. However, the variables of service quality, trust and customer satisfaction have a simultaneous effect on consumer loyalty (Y). The coefficient of determination test shows that there is a close relationship between service quality, customer trust and satisfaction on consumer loyalty with an R value of 83.6%. Through the value of the Adjusted R square it is known that the variables of service quality, trust and customer satisfaction contribute 69% to the consumer loyalty variable while the remaining 31% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.

Abstract

One of the agricultural products that contributes significantly to the economy in terms of income for the country is coffee. One of the cities in Aceh Province that produces coffee is the city of Takengon with Gayo coffee. One of the villages is said to not have the word prosperous in terms of farmers' income, namely Pepalang village. The income from coffee farming has decreased, resulting in the inability to meet the needs of farmers because the demand for food, plantations, children's school fees and others must be incurred. Farmers are still classified as conventional in doing the work, either by farming, selling coffee and managing coffee. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of digital marketing as an effort to increase the income of Gayo coffee farmers (a study in Pepalang village, Takengon city) with digital marketing indicators including Accessibility, Interactivity, Entertainment, Credibility, Irritation and Informativeness. Abstract

Perkembangan bisnis berlangsung dengan pesat di Indonesia, sehingga hal ini mendorong perusahaan untuk mencari strategi yang cocok untuk menopang kehidupan bisnis. Pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) merupakan hal terpenting yang perlu diperhatikan oleh perusahaan. Perusahaan harus mampu meningkatkan produktivitas kerja SDM baik secara individu maupun kelompok, karena keberhasilan suatu perusahaan bergantung pada produktivitas karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan empowering leadership terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan pada PT. Bank Sumut Cabang Binjai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan melibatkan 46 responden sebagai sampel. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja (X1) dan variabel empowering leadership (X2) berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan terhadap produktivitas kerja (Y). Uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup erat antara lingkungan kerja dan empowering leadership terhadap produktivitas kerja dengan nilai R sebesar 0,834. Melalui nilai Adjusted R Square diketahui bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja (X1) dan variabel empowering leadership (X2) berkontribusi sebesar 68,1% terhadap variabel produktivitas kerja (Y) sedangkan sisanya sebesar 31,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Sebagai sumber daya, karyawan melalui kinerjanya menjadi faktor penting dalam memajukan sebuah perusahaan khususnya ketika menghadapi persaingan yang kompleks seperti saat ini. Employee engagement dan budaya adalah dua kunci penting dalam peningkatan kinerja karyawan dalam organisasi atau perusahaan besar seperti PT Bank BPR Pijer Podi Kekelengen Sukamakmur. Peneliti menemukan bahwa kinerja karyawan di perusahaan tersebut cenderung kurang baik yang terlihat dari turunnya laba perusahaan. Peneliti juga menemukan lemahnya keterikatan emosional antara karyawan dengan perusahaan serta budaya perusahaan yang tidak begitu mengakar kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara Employee Engagement sebagai variabel keterikatan emosional dan Budaya Organisasi dengan kinerja karyawan PT Bank BPR Pijer Podi Kekelengen Sukamakmur. Peneliti juga ingin menelaah seberapa tinggi pengaruh dari kedua variabel pertama terhadap peningkatan kinerja karyawan di perusahaan tersebut. Metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 32 sampel yang didapat dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Data sekunder juga sebagai pendukung dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji instrumen dan uji asumsi klasik untuk memastikan keakuratan data serta analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis sebagai alat dalam mengambil kesimpulan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement dan budaya organisasi memiliki tingkat keterkaitan sebesar 82,3% dengan kinerja karyawan yang menunjukkan betapa kuatnya kaitan antara kedua variabel pertama dengan variabel terakhir. Peneliti menemukan bahwa keduanya memiliki pengaruh sebesar 67,7% dalam peningkatan kinerja yang menunjukkan pentingnya peran kedua variabel tersebut dalam proses pembentukan dan peningkatan kinerja karyawan di sebuah perusahaan ataupun organisasi.

Abstract

Kemajuan suatu perusahaan atau organisasi didukung oleh kualitas kinerja sumber daya manusia. Sumber daya manusia merujuk pada seluruh potensi yang dimiliki setiap individu untuk mampu menghadapi persaingan di era globalisasi yang semakin ketat. Sumber daya manusia yang memiliki keterampilan dan kualitas yang tinggi digunakan sebagai aset berharga bagi suatu organisasi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh total quality management (TQM) dan self efficacy terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk Kisaran. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk Kisaran dan sampel berjumlah 51 responden, dengan pendekatan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah probability sampling yang berupa simple random sampling. Data primer yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung dan data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa total quality management (TQM) berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 5,028 > 2,010 dengan nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05 serta memiliki nilai koefisien regresi bernilai 0,693. Self efficacy juga berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 2,230 > 2,010 dengan nilai sig 0,030 < 0,05 serta memiliki nilai koefisien regresi bernilai 0,337. Pada pengujian simultan variabel total quality management (TQM) dan self efficacy berpengaruh secara simultan dengan tingkat besarnya pengaruh sebesar 43,7%sedangkan 56,3% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor diluar penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the use of information technology and Human Resources (HR) development on employee performance at CV. Prenada Media Group Medan. The research method uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data was collected through a survey of 45 employees, and statistical analysis was carried out using the t test, F test, and coefficient of determination test (R2). The research results show that the use of information technology and HR development together has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. These findings are consistent with previous research and contribute to understanding the importance of integrating information technology and human resource development in increasing workforce effectiveness and productivity in the corporate environment.
