Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of product quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Cahaya Resto & Café in Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. In the culinary business, food quality in terms of taste and presentation is a very important factor. Food quality such as taste and appearance aspects reflect the company's success in the eyes of consumers. The quality of the product being marketed is the core of consumer assessment of the product purchased in order to obtain maximum benefit value. For manufacturers, good product quality means that the product is in demand by consumers so that it produces profits both in terms of sales and company image. Purchasing decisions by a consumer involve considerations to determine whether or not it is appropriate to purchase a product by going through various alternative product choices that best suit the desired needs. This research aims to determine the influence of product quality on purchasing decisions at Cahaya Resto & Café. This research uses quantitative research methods with a sample size of 100 Cahaya Resto & Cafe consumers with a sampling technique using random sampling technique using the Lemeshow formula. The data collection technique uses a Likert scale questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression using the SPSS Version 22 program consisting of validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality tests), hypothesis tests (partial tests and coefficient of determination tests). The research results show that product quality (X) influences purchasing decisions (Y) with a calculated t value of 8.726 > 1.66055 (thitung > ttable) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ha is accepted. Then the results of the coefficient of determination test obtained an R Square value of 0.437 which shows that the ability of product quality (X) in explaining purchasing decisions is 43.7% while 56.3% is explained by other factors that are outside the model and cannot be detected in the research.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Maghrib Mengaji Program implemented by KKN Group 26 (10 members) in Pagaran Gala-Gala Village in enhancing Qur'anic literacy and fostering religious character. The research utilized a participatory qualitative method with a Case Study approach, where learning activities were conducted intensively at the KKN post after congregational prayers. The program employed the Mutsallasah Curriculum (BTQ, Tahfidz, and Fahmil Qur’an) with the key methodology of direct guidance (talaqqi) by KKN mentors. The findings indicate significant achievements: a marked improvement in participants' reading quality, particularly in Tajwid and Makharijul Huruf, facilitated by the optimal mentor-to-participant ratio. The program also successfully diverted the 'golden time' of Maghrib from non-productive activities (gadgets) to a positive routine, instilling spiritual discipline and responsibility. The program's success was sustained by a strong synergy between the KKN group and mosque officials, which revitalized the institutional role as a center for character education. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended to implement Teacher Regeneration through peer-tutor recruitment and to establish Local Regulations by the village government to make the Maghrib Mengaji Program a continuous and mandatory cultural practice.

Abstract

Digital transformation presents opportunities and challenges for the business and financial industries. Islamic banking is expected to accelerate the development of digital technology. This study aims to determine how Islamic banking maintains Sharia principles while adapting to technological dynamics in the context of digitalization. The research method applied in this study is a descriptive analytical method utilizing secondary data. The reason for this is to examine issues in the social, economic, or policy fields, as it uses data that has been previously collected and published, thereby saving time and costs. The results of the study show that by issuing Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) No. 77/POJK.01/2016 on information technology-based money lending services, Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority have established clear and firm provisions that protect the interests of the public, both as lenders and borrowers. Bank Indonesia then issued Governor Board Regulation No. 19/14/PADG/2017 on Financial Technology (Regulatory Sandbox) as a limited testing area that is safe from a regulatory perspective. Testing of financial technology providers along with their goods, services, technology, and/or business plans is known as a limited testing area.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of financial management practices on the performance of firms operating in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia. In this study, we collected data from a number of manufacturing companies in Indonesia and analyzed the relationship between financial management practices and key performance indicators such as profitability, liquidity, and solvency. The findings of this study indicate that effective financial management practices have a positive impact on the performance of companies in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia. Disciplined and measurable budgeting practices have been shown to significantly contribute to increased profitability. Careful and regular financial analysis also helps companies identify performance trends, measure operational efficiency, and make better decisions. Furthermore, efficient working capital management practices have a positive impact on the liquidity of companies. Companies that are able to manage inventory effectively and implement prudent credit policies tend to have healthy cash flow and avoid liquidity problems. Additionally, making smart investment decisions based on thorough analysis also contributes to improved solvency. Companies that carefully consider risks and potential returns in investment decision-making have a healthier capital structure and are better able to meet their financial obligations. The findings provide a better understanding of the importance of effective financial management practices in enhancing the performance of companies in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and opportunities of developing halal tourism in Lake Toba, Indonesia, and provides recommendations to improve policies and facilities to better accommodate Muslim travellers. A qualitative case study approach was employed, focusing on Lake Toba as the research setting. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including government officials, tourism industry actors, and Muslim tourists, as well as through direct field observations. Thematic analysis was used to identify key issues and development potentials related to halal tourism. The findings reveal that although most visitors to Lake Toba are Muslim, there is a significant lack of halal tourism facilities, including halal-certified restaurants, sharia-compliant accommodations, and halal slaughterhouses. Policy inconsistencies between local governments also hinder coherent halal tourism development. Nonetheless, support from institutions such as BPODT and the Simalungun Tourism Office demonstrates promising potential for improvement. Social resistance, political complexity, and infrastructure gaps remain key challenges. The study highlights the need for enhanced halal facilities, harmonized interregional policies, and community education on the benefits of halal tourism. Strengthened coordination between government bodies and the private sector is essential for sustainable development. This research provides new insights into halal tourism development in a multicultural, predominantly non-Muslim area, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder collaboration, policy alignment, and sociocultural sensitivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Muslim consumers' decisions in choosing halal products in Indonesia. With increasing awareness of the importance of halal products, this study examines the influence of religious awareness, halal label perception, social and cultural influences, product quality, price, and the role of social media on halal product purchasing decisions. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents, as well as in-depth interviews with consumers. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between independent variables and purchasing decisions, and a moderation test to examine the role of social influence as a moderating variable in the relationship between religious awareness and purchasing decisions. The results showed that religious awareness, halal label perception, social and cultural influences, and product quality significantly influenced purchasing decisions for halal products, with a significance threshold of p < 0.05. In contrast, price did not have a significant impact on purchasing decisions (p = 0.120). The role of social media was found to have a positive influence on purchasing decisions for halal products (p = 0.055), although its influence was smaller compared to other factors. These findings have important implications for companies, policymakers, and the public in increasing understanding and access to quality halal products.
