Abstract

This study aims to develop a smart grid system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve efficiency and sustainability in monitoring and managing electrical energy distribution. Smart grid is a modern electrical network that utilizes communication and information technology to integrate various components in the energy distribution system. IoT technology allows real-time data collection from sensors spread across various points, thus providing accurate information regarding energy consumption, network conditions, and potential disruptions. The research methodology includes designing the IoT system architecture, developing software for data analysis, and testing system performance through simulation and implementation on a limited scale. The data obtained is analyzed using an artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictive algorithm to detect anomalies and provide recommendations for energy distribution management. The results of the study show that the developed system is able to increase energy distribution efficiency by up to 25% and reduce the duration of disruptions by up to 40%. In addition, this system allows for faster and data-based decision making in energy management. In conclusion, the development of an IoT-based smart grid system can be an innovative solution to face the challenges of electricity distribution in the modern era, while supporting the implementation of sustainable energy.

Abstract

ABSTRAKRSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai merupakan rumah sakit provider BPJS, di mana pada implementasi kebijakan JKN masih terdapat masalah-masalah terutama terkait pending klaim seperti adanya miss komunikasi, kurangnya kerja sama/komitmen (disposisi) petugas dalam menjalankan peraturan sehingga berdampak pada kelancaran klaim/besaran klaim yang dapat merugikan rumah sakit.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Mengapa terjadi pending klaim BPJS kesehatan pasien rawat inap di RSUD DR.RM Djoelham Binjai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam sebagai cara untuk mengumpulkan data. Informan penelitian ini sebanyak 7 informan terdiri dari 1 informan utama dan 6 informan pendukung.Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan Pengembalian berkas klaim pasien rawat inap  BPJS Kesehatan di RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai terjadi karena ketidak sesuaian atau tidak lengkapnya pengisian item-item di dalam pengisian rekam medis, kesalahan petugas dalam proses penginputan, selain itu perbedaan pemahaman mengenai kelengkapan berkas klaim antara pihak Verifikator internal rumah sakit dengan pihak verifikator BPJS Kesehatan.            Berdasarkan  penelitian  ini, diharapkan kepada RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai untuk meningkatkan kinerja dengan melakukan Pelatihan, Pengawasan dan evaluasi kepatuhan petugas secara berkala dalam pengisian lembar syarat yang diajukan pada pihak verifikator BPJS. Abstract

Pengalaman yang dirasakan pasien setelah menerima pelayanan akan berdampak pada minat pasien untuk berkunjung kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan pasien terhadap minat kunjungan ulang di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Bina Kasih Medan Sunggal Tahun 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross sectional study yang dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Umum Bina Kasih Medan Sunggal yang berlangsung mulai bulan Januari–Februari 2022. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh pasien yang berkunjung yaitu 1.001 orang dengan jumlah sampel 91 orang. Data hasil survey dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square dan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian univariat menunjukkan bahwa dari 91 responden, sebagian besar responden berumur 55-66 tahun yaitu sebanyak 44 (48,3%), berjenis kelamin perempuan yaitu sebanyak 51 (56,1%) dan jenjang pendidikan PT yaitu sebanyak 67 (73,6%) responden. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh komunikasi petugas (p=0,001), informasi tentang obat (p=0,005) manajemen nyeri (p=0,030), kebersihan dan kenyamanan lingkungan (p=0,000), informasi sebelum pasien pulang (p=0,000) terhadap minat kunjungan ulang di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Bina Kasih Medan Sunggal Adapun hasil analisis multivariate yaitu variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap minat kunjungan ulang di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Bina Kasih Medan Tahun 2022 adalah variabel komunikasi petugas. Disarankan kepada manajemen rumah sakit agar hasil penelitian dijadikan bahan masukan serta menjadi bahan dalam mengevaluasi komunikasi dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada seluruh pengunjung rumah sakit sehingga minat kunjungan meningkat.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the legal protection against Termination of Employment (PHK) by companies towards breastfeeding mothers providing exclusive breastfeeding, based on Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2022 Concerning Job Creation. The research employs a normative legal research method, examining legal regulations, doctrines, and principles relevant to the legal protection of breastfeeding mothers providing exclusive breastfeeding. In order to support the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation, there is a need for collaboration and coordination among the government, businesses, cooperatives, MSMEs, and labor force. The government must ensure that this policy is implemented fairly, taking into account workers' rights and sustainable economic empowerment. Cooperation from all relevant parties is key to achieving the goals of this structural reform in the context of the complex global economic conditions. Although Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation does not specifically regulate the rights of breastfeeding workers, women workers breastfeeding at the workplace are still protected by the Labor Law. This includes the right to leave, time and facilities for breastfeeding, as well as a prohibition on termination of employment on the grounds of breastfeeding. Despite the impact of this regulation on the labor sector, it is crucial to monitor and evaluate its implementation periodically to ensure that the goals of worker protection and economic empowerment are achieved as expected.

Abstract

Wireless sensor network-based monitoring systems have become essential for various industrial and environmental applications, particularly for monitoring conditions requiring wide coverage and low power consumption. LoRa SX1278 technology offers a long-range communication solution with high energy efficiency, but challenges remain regarding data stability, channel interference, and the need to adapt to changing environmental conditions. This study presents the design of a LoRa SX1278-based adaptive control system for wireless sensor network monitoring, focusing on improving transmission reliability and adaptive response to signal dynamics. This system integrates a LoRa SX1278 module, a microcontroller as the main controller, and an adaptive control algorithm that adjusts communication parameters in real time based on channel conditions. Tests were conducted using several distance scenarios and physical obstacles to evaluate system performance in terms of delay, packet loss, and signal stability. The test results show that the implementation of adaptive control can improve communication quality by more than 20% compared to static methods, while ensuring continuity of monitoring data under changing environmental conditions. The main contribution of this study lies in the integration of the adaptive algorithm with the LoRa SX1278 module, which can be used as a reference in the development of large-scale IoT systems in the future.

Abstract

The main problem with using static solar panels is the low energy efficiency due to changes in the sun's angle throughout the day, especially in tropical regions like Indonesia which have high solar energy potential. This study aims to optimize solar panel performance by designing a dual-axis solar tracker system based on fuzzy logic control to maintain the panel's orientation always perpendicular to sunlight. The research method includes mathematical modeling of the sun's position (elevation and azimuth), design of Mamdani fuzzy control with angle error inputs, and numerical simulation comparing daily irradiance and energy between static panels and the tracking system. Simulation results show a 33.15% increase in daily energy for the tracker system (11,983.33 Wh/m²) compared to static panels (8,999.65 Wh/m²), with the highest improvement occurring in the morning and evening. Fuzzy control provides smooth and stable movement response without excessive oscillation. These results prove that the dual-axis fuzzy-based solar tracker is effective in improving solar panel efficiency in tropical regions, although cost and mechanical complexity factors need to be considered in its implementation.

Abstract

This research focuses on optimizing the control system to improve voltage stability in a 10 kW Solar Power Plant (PLTS) located in a tropical region. The main issue addressed is voltage fluctuation caused by the intermittent nature of solar radiation (200–1200 W/m²) and temperature variations (20–50°C), which result in up to 12% overshoot in the inverter. The proposed method implements a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller optimized using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm with real-time irradiation input data. The research integrates a 100 Hz digital low-pass filter to mitigate sensor noise under low irradiation conditions. Simulation results show that the PID-PSO system successfully reduces overshoot from 12.1% to 4.2% under high irradiation, and decreases settling time from 0.62 seconds to 0.31 seconds. The digital filter effectively reduces measurement deviation from 7.2% to 2.8% at 200 W/m² irradiation. The PSO optimization achieved optimal convergence within 37 iterations with an Integral of Time-weighted Absolute Error (ITAE) value of 0.18. This study concludes that the implementation of PID-PSO with a digital filter significantly enhances the voltage stability of the PLTS by 20.3% compared to conventional PID control and is ready to be applied in tropical-region smart grid systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas penerapan kapasitor bank dalam meningkatkan faktor daya pada gedung komersial berbeban reaktif tinggi menggunakan simulasi ETAP 19.0. Empat skenario dievaluasi: beban maksimum dan minimum dengan serta tanpa kapasitor bank. Pada beban maksimum (895 kVA), pemasangan kapasitor bank (400 kVar) meningkatkan faktor daya dari 78,3% menjadi 96,4%, mengurangi daya reaktif sebesar 66,4% dan menstabilkan tegangan di 384 V. Namun, pada beban minimum (173 kVA), kapasitor bank berkapasitas tetap (200 kVar) menyebabkan overcompensation, menghasilkan daya reaktif negatif (-150 kVar), faktor daya leading (-87,4%), dan kenaikan tegangan hingga 400,3 V yang berisiko merusak peralatan. Analisis menunjukkan kapasitas optimal kapasitor bank untuk beban maksimum adalah 389 kVar, sedangkan untuk beban minimum tidak diperlukan atau maksimal 50 kVar. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi ketidakefektifan kapasitor bank berkapasitas tetap pada beban dinamis. Penelitian merekomendasikan penggunaan sistem kapasitor bank otomatis dengan step control untuk menyesuaikan kapasitas secara real-time, memastikan faktor daya memenuhi standar PLN (≥0,85) sekaligus menghindari overcompensation. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya menghindari denda akibat faktor daya rendah, tetapi juga meningkatkan keandalan sistem.

Abstract

This study investigates the performance and energy efficiency of a three-phase induction motor controlled by a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) in a fatty acid pump system at the Permata Group processing plant. The research is motivated by the increasing need for energy savings and operational reliability in continuous industrial processes where pump load profiles are highly dynamic. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of VSD implementation in reducing energy consumption and improving motor operating characteristics under real plant conditions. Data were collected during actual production cycles through direct measurement of electrical and mechanical parameters, including current, voltage, frequency, torque, flow rate, and power consumption. The analysis compares the performance of the pump system before and after the application of VSD, using descriptive statistical analysis and graphical evaluation of motor behavior under various load conditions. The results demonstrate that the application of VSD significantly reduces energy consumption at partial loads while maintaining stable pump output and minimizing mechanical stress. The motor also shows improved operating efficiency and lower thermal loading compared to constant-speed operation. These findings indicate that VSD-based control offers a practical and cost-effective solution for industrial pump systems, especially in fatty acid processing operations where flow demand fluctuates during production. The practical implications are substantial, highlighting opportunities for energy conservation, equipment longevity, and process optimization without compromising product quality or throughput, making the system suitable for broader adoption in similar industrial environments.

Abstract

Driving safety has become a crucial issue in Indonesia due to the high number of traffic accidents caused by driver fatigue, particularly drowsiness that triggers microsleep and temporary loss of consciousness. This study aims to develop a driver drowsiness detection system based on Arduino Nano and infrared eye blink sensor that detects drowsiness indicators through blink frequency and duration, evaluates the effectiveness of early warnings via buzzer, and identifies technical constraints to enhance reliability in driving simulations. The research method employs a research and development approach with an experimental design, involving 15 participants aged 19-25 years tested in normal conditions and drowsiness simulations for 30 minutes per session, with data collection through eye blink sensor, Arduino Nano, and subjective validation using the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale. Testing shows the system achieves a microsleep detection accuracy of 98% based on eye closure duration exceeding 500 ms and 96% accuracy based on blink frequency below 12 times per minute, with an average response time of 178 ms until buzzer activation, thus capable of providing early warnings before full microsleep occurs. The implications of this research offer a portable, low-cost solution without reliance on complex infrastructure for mitigating accident risks in developing countries, although it still requires optimization against environmental variations such as lighting and head movements for real-world applications on the road.
