Abstract

Pendekatan, strategi, metode, dan teknik pembelajaran pada hakikatnya dapat dibedakan tetapi tidak dapat dipisahkan. Keempat istilah tersebut merupakan satu kesatuan dalam pembelajaran. Pendekatan, strategi, metode, dan teknik pembelajaran yang akan dan/atau sedang digunakan dapat diketahui dari langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang telah tersusun dan/atau sedang terjadi. Pendekatan pembelajaran adalah cara umum dalam memandang pembelajaran. Sedangkan strategi pembelajaran adalah ilmu dan kiat di dalam memanfaatkan segala sumber belajar yang dimiliki dan/atau yang dapat dikerahkan untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Metode mengajar adalah berbagai cara kerja yang bersifat relatif umum yang sesuai untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tertentu dan teknik pembelajaran adalah ragam khas penerapan suatu metode sesuai dengan latar penerapan tertentu. Teknik pembelajaran mengambarkan langkah-langkah penggunaan metode mengajar yang sifatnya lebih operasional. Faktor-faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penentuan teknik pembelajaran di antaranya adalah kemampuan dan kebiasaan guru, ketersedian sarana dan waktu, serta kesiapan siswa. Faktor-faktor yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam memilih strategi pembelajaran ialah tujuan pembelajaran, jenis dan tingkat kesulitan materi pelajaran, sarana, waktu yang tersedia, siswa, dan guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS Terpadu melalui rekonstruksi pembelajaran diskusi kelompok menggunakan peta konsep bagi siswa kelas VIIIA MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIA MTs Negeri 1 Pontianak yang berjumlah 38 siswa. Hasil belajar siswa pra tindakan yaitu sebanyak 17 siswa (44,7%) tuntas dan 21 siswa (55,3%) belum tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 68. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan pada masing-masing siklus sebesar 70.3% dan 86,5% dengan nilai rata-rata 76,5 dan 88,1. Terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari siklus 1 dan 2 sebesar 16,2%. Pelaksanaan rekonstruksi pembelajaran diskusi kelompok menggunakan peta konsep dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran IPS Terpadu di sekolah karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze antennas' characteristics at a frequency of 2.2 GHz, including the value of return loss, VSWR, gain, bandwidth, surface current, and radiation pattern. The antenna characteristics have been designed using simulations made with FR-4 substrates with a dielectric constant ε_r= 4.3 and substrate thickness (h) = 1.6 mm and copper patches with a patch thickness of 0.035 mm. Single antennas are made first to get the desired parameters, then continue to make 1x2 and 1x4 antenna arrays. The feeding antenna array is arranged using the Wilkinson power divider technique on the side of the patch. Antenna array planning aims to increase the antenna gain value as well as the antenna directivity value. From the simulation results, successive values were obtained starting from a single antenna, a 1x2 antenna array, and a 1x4 antenna array which included return loss of -22 dB, 25.9 dB, and -15.3 dB. Swr values are 1.1,1.1,1,1.4 each. The gain values are 3.38 dB, 5.52 dB, 7.84 dB, respectively. Antenna bandwidth is obtained by 100 MHz, 400 MHz, and 200MHz. The angular width obtained is 99.40, 92.20, and 80.20.

Abstract

This study compares internet network communication performance using electrical and network cables. Data passed using power lines is converted using power line Communication (PLC). The quality of service results on the PLC obtained a throughput value of 1,834 Kb/s, Packet loss of 0.045, delay of 34.958, and Jitter of 41.648. Data measurement using Wireshark software, by using typhoon data to convert values, the measurement results show that the throughput value is excellent, the packet loss value is excellent, the delay value is excellent, and the jitter value is good.

Abstract

Coastal areas are vital areas for fishing activities, and the weather in this area plays a very important role in the safety and efficiency of fishermen's operations. Fishermen on the coast often face the challenges of weather that is changeable and can be very extreme, including strong winds that can cause high waves and unsafe sea conditions. Therefore, the development of a Google spreadsheet-based weather monitoring system for fishermen in coastal areas is very relevant and strategic to support safer and more productive fishing activities. This research aims to make it easier for fishermen to monitor the weather in coastal areas in real time. Testing is carried out by running the system for observation for a predetermined time duration. This research uses an anemometer, DHT11 and raindrop sensors connected to a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller to send data to a Google spreadsheet, with readings of wind speed, temperature, air humidity and rain values. This research was carried out at the Nusantara Prigi fishing port, Trenggalek, challenging the work of anemometer sensors, DHT11 and raindrop sensors. Testing of tools and data obtained by comparing data on wind speed, temperature and air humidity using a digital anemometer and digital thermometer hygrometer humidity. The results of this research are that a Google spreadsheet-based weather monitoring design for fishermen in coastal areas can monitor wind speed, air humidity, temperature and detect rain online using a spreadsheet application and functions well with an average error accuracy of 3%.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a smoke level detection device based on NodeMCU ESP32 with a room-scale ratio of 1:10. The issue at hand is the occurrence of two false alarms during sailing practices on the MT. SUPREME STAR due to the oversight of the galley Exhaust Fan activation by the cook, resulting in kitchen smoke escaping the room. The designed device is equipped with 4 MQ-135 sensors and an LCD, along with 4 ACS712 sensors to measure the smoke density in the galley in terms of ppm (Part Per Million). LED serves as a parameter for CO (Carbon Monoxide), and ACS712 is utilized to detect mA, determining whether the sensor can activate the Exhaust Fan, indicated by the detected mA. This research includes designing a device to detect smoke levels and automatically activate the Exhaust Fan, as well as understanding the operation of smoke sensors and the NodeMCU ESP32 Microcontroller. By using the "trial and error" research method, namely a series of experiments carried out repeatedly using different methods and materials. Test results indicate that the MQ-135 sensor has an average error ranging from -7.5% to +5.69%, influenced by input voltage. Additionally, IoT test results show that some sensors face difficulty in transmitting data due to voltage drop when Wi-Fi is enabLED. Overall system testing demonstrates that the device effectively controls smoke in the galley. The Exhaust Fan operates according to the predetermined program, and the LED provides an indicator of smoke opacity in accordance with the Air Pollution Standard Index. The MQ-135 sensor can prevent smoke emissions by automatically activating the Exhaust Fan when smoke levels are detected above 30 ppm. Thus, this device prototype can be a solution to address false alarm incidents, and its success indicates the potential use of MQ-135 sensors in the automation of smoke control systems in enclosed spaces.

Abstract

Listrik merupakan hal terpenting untuk penerangan. Penerangan sendiri bagian yang tidak terlepas dari kehidupan manusia,termasuk di dunia pelayaran. Pada peraturan dunia pelayaran Peraturan Pencegahan Tubrukan di Laut (P2TL) bagian C. Sering terjadi juga saat Auxiliary engine (AE) terdapat masalah saat malam hari maka aliran listrik tidak di distribusikan ke lampu navigasi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sumber energi lain untuk memasok ke lampu navigasi yaitu energi terbarukan dari angin atau Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB).PLTB merupakan salah satu energi terbarukan yang bersumber dari energi angin, cocok digunakan dikapal dikarena potensi angin yang tinggi dan stabil. Namun pemilihan turbin untuk PLTB haruslah cocok dengan kondisi yang akan digunakan. Karena faktor tersebut penulis membuat PLTB dengan tipe turbin horizontal 3 sudu yang mampu memaksimalkan energi angin. Metode yang digunakan yaitu perancangan sistem untuk mengetahui distribusi daya dari sumber sampai ke beban dan perancangan alat hal ini digunakan untuk mengetahui hardware yang digunakan. Dengan menggunakan PLTB yang mencakup sensor arus dan tegangan untuk lampu navigasi, sistem dapat memasok daya dengan efisien dan mampu menganalisis daya yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis dibutuhkan seseorang untuk mengajukan dan menganalisis informasi, membuat kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti, dan mengevaluasi proses berpikirnya sendiri. Dalam konteks taruna, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis penting karena banyak tugas yang membutuhkan pemecahan masalah dalam mengambil keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada seorang taruna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu taruna Politeknik Maritim Surabaya Jenjang 1 Program Studi Teknologi Rekayasa Permesinan Kapal. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian berpikir kritis dan dianalisis secara deskriptif sesuai dengan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis subjek memiliki berbagai Interpretasi dari kategori rendah, cukup dan tinggi. Pada indikator Analisis, 64% subjek berada pada kategori cukup, pada tahap evaluasi, 71 % termasuk katefori tinggi, dan pada indikator inferensi, 74 % juga pada kategori tinggi. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan taruna dalam berpikir kritis memiliki persentase 64,75% dengan kategori cukup. Critical thinking skills are needed by someone to submit and analyze information, make conclusions based on evidence, and evaluate their thinking processes. Mathematical critical thinking skills are important in cadets because many tasks require problem-solving when making decisions. This study aims to determine how mathematical critical thinking skills are in a cadet. This study uses a descriptive method. The study subjects were cadets of the Surabaya Maritime Polytechnic Level 1, Ship Machinery Engineering Technology Study Program. Data were collected through critical thinking essay tests and analyzed descriptively according to the indicators of critical thinking skills. The results showed that the subjects' essential skills of thinking had various interpretations from the low, sufficient, and high categories. In the Analysis indicator, 64% of subjects were in the sufficient category, in the evaluation stage, 71% were in the high category, and in the inference indicator, 74% were also in the high category. Overall, the cadets' ability to think critically had a percentage of 64.75% with a sufficient category.

Abstract

This research investigates pedagogical strategies in maritime cadet teaching to improve learning outcomes. Qualitative analysis involving 45 junior cadets from Maritime Institutes, Private Maritime Institutes, and Vocational Schools elucidates perceptions and effectiveness of teaching methodologies. Results highlight the importance of aligning pedagogy with international standards, addressing emerging needs, and fostering professionalism. Integrating emerging technologies, enhancing soft skills development, promoting safety culture, and continuous professional development emerge as crucial areas. The study emphasizes the significance of cultivating professionalism, including ethics, integrity, teamwork, leadership, and cultural sensitivity. Overall, this research emphasizes the necessity for continuous improvement and innovation in cadet training to prepare future maritime professionals effectively.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how consumption patterns and transaction utilization have changed for young people when using e-wallet transactions. The research conducted by the author used a qualitative approach. In this research, the samples obtained by researchers used a purposive sampling method with a sample size of 100. This research used data collection techniques, including interviews, documentation, and a literature study. The raw data has been collected using interview and documentation data collection techniques, which the author then processes and analyzes. Based on research results, it was found that urban youth have currently experienced evolution or changes in the essence of consumption patterns. Consumption, which is actually a common life phenomenon that will never be replaced, has begun to shift in essence from the motivation of consumption to survive and fulfill needs to consumption to satisfy desires and lifestyle. The presence of digital transactions is here to meet these changes in consumption patterns. In a way, both of them have a mutual influence between consumption patterns, which are increasing in purchasing primary and secondary goods, and the high use of e-wallets, which is proven by the high circulation of money from year to year.
