Abstract

Changes in land use for the development of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have led to increased flooding. A rainfall intensity of 35 mm recorded at the ARR KEK Mandalika station led to a flood event, with a water level reaching 1.2 meters on March 23, 2022. Therefore, a study is needed to determine the flood discharge that affects the Tabelo Watershed and to identify the appropriate structural mitigation measures for flood management. After conducting frequency analysis with Hydrognomon and Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), the flood discharge for the 50, 100, and 200-year return periods was 149.5 m3/s, 162.5 m3/s, and 175.2 m3/s. Structural mitigation by river normalization and levees construction on the Tabelo River was carried out along 1882.5 m at stationing P0 – P101 and 468.5 m at stationing S0 – S30. The levee construction is planned to be 14 m wide for the upstream section, up to the junction, and 16 m wide for the junction to the river mouth. The river levee is designed to be 3.30 meters high and 16 meters wide. The stability of the levee is calculated by considering its stability against overturning, sliding, and reactions from the foundation soil under both normal and seismic conditions. Based on the results of the stability calculations, the safety factor values for stability against shear forces under normal and earthquake conditions were obtained, namely, Fs (3.81 > 2.00) and Fs (1.27 > 1.25).

Abstract

Desa Santong merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kayangan Kabupaten Lombok Utara memiliki potensi sumberdaya alam seperti pertanian, perkebunan dan hutan yang berlimpah. Didukung dengan kondisi topografis yang berbukit dengan suhu yang dingin menjadikan Desa Santong wilayah yang sangat subur dengan tingkat perekonomian masyarakat di atas rata-rata. Demikian pula halnya dengan lokasi Desa Santong yang merupakan kaki gunung Rinjani, Desa Santong juga menjadi salah satu jalur alternatif pavorit yang sering menjadi pilihan bagi pendaki untuk melakukan pendakian ke Gunung Rinjani. Selain potensi yang dimiliki Desa Santong yang strategis bagi masyarakat tersimpan potensi berbagai bencana hidroklimatologi dan geologi. Kondisi wilayah yang didomonasi perbukitan potensi terjadinya tanah longsor sangat besar. Demikian juga dengan intensitas dan frekuensi hujan yang cukup tinggi menjadikan Desa Santong salah satu desa yang memiliki peluang terjadinya bencana banjir cukup besar. Dalam upaya mengurangi dampak dari potensi bencana hidroklimatologi dan tanah longsor sangat penting seluruh masayarakat Desa Santong mempunyai pengetahuan terhadap wilayah rawan bencana serta strategi mengurangi dampak jika terjadi bencana. Pelatihan identifikasi bencana banjir dan tanah longsor merupakan salah satu upaya menambah pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap bencana, termasuk melakukan mitigasi, penyiapan jalur evakuasi serta pemulihan pasca terjadi bencana. Pelatihan dilakukan di Kantor Desa Santong yang diikuti oleh berbagai unsur masyarakat seperti: perangkat Desa, Kadus, Tokoh Masyarakat, Karang Taruna, PKK, Mahasiswa KKN Unram dan kelompok Sadar Wisata (PokDarWis). Besar harapan masyarakat Desa Santong untuk melakukan pendampingan dalam menyiapkan dan memasang tanda-tanda untuk jalur evakuasi dan penentuan titik kumpul jika terjadi bencana.

Abstract

Bendungan Meninting merupakan infrastruktur strategis yang memiliki potensi risiko tinggi apabila terjadi kegagalan struktur atau keruntuhan. Keruntuhan bendungan dapat mengakibatkan banjir bandang yang berdampak langsung terhadap keselamatan jiwa, kerusakan lingkungan, dan kerugian sosial ekonomi masyarakat di wilayah hilir. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat melalui simulasi tanggap darurat keruntuhan Bendungan Meninting di Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahapan persiapan dan koordinasi dengan pemerintah desa dan BBWS Nusa Tenggara I, sosialisasi kebencanaan kepada masyarakat, pelaksanaan simulasi evakuasi darurat, serta evaluasi pasca kegiatan. Simulasi dilakukan dengan skenario keruntuhan bendungan saat muka air tinggi, melibatkan masyarakat, perangkat desa, relawan dan instansi terkait. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan, serta diskusi kelompok terfokus. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap risiko keruntuhan bendungan, jalur evakuasi, titik kumpul, serta sistem peringatan dini. Masyarakat juga menunjukkan peningkatan respon cepat terhadap sirene peringatan dan kemampuan mengikuti prosedur evakuasi dengan lebih terorganisir. Secara keseluruhan, simulasi tanggap darurat terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap potensi bencana keruntuhan bendungan. Kegiatan ini direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dan terintegrasi dalam program desa Tangguh bencana guna membangun budaya sadar risiko di wilayah terdampak.

Abstract

School safety and how well buildings work are very important for creating good learning environments, especially in rural areas.  The goal of this community service program was to make SD 4 Lenek, East Lombok, a safer place for students by (1) fixing up the school buildings and (2) raising awareness about Occupational Safety and Health (K3) among teachers, staff, and students.  The activities included checking the facilities, making small repairs to the building, putting up safety signs, making evacuation routes, and an interactive K3 seminar given by the authors as guest speakers.  The evaluation results showed that building safety indicators had gotten better and that K3 knowledge among school stakeholders had grown. This was shown by a big jump in post-test scores.  This program stresses that combining physical revitalization with safety education is very important for making schools safer.

Abstract

The Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is currently a leading destination not only in Lombok but also in Indonesia. The presence of the Mandalika Circuit as a MotoGP race venue, along with the beauty of the coastal landscape and other tourism potential, makes Mandalika a Super Priority Destination. The Mandalika SEZ is located in three river basins, namely Tebelo Ngolang and Balak. Behind the splendor of the Mandalika Circuit and other supporting infrastructure lies a series of flood data that hit the area, including the floods of January 30, 2021, and December 23, 2022. Based on these events, a study is needed to map the flood risk in the three watersheds and the Mandalika SEZ. This flood risk map can later serve as a basis for formulating policies and anticipatory measures for future flooding. The required data includes rainfall data, land use maps, topographic maps, land use maps, slope maps, and geological/soil type data. The data were then analyzed using a Geographic Information System (GIS) and then overlaid using the ArcGIS software program. Based on the overlay results and weighting of the supporting factors for flooding, flood vulnerability at the study location can be determined. The results showed that the Tebelo Watershed is divided into 3 categories, namely a moderately vulnerable area of 270.32 ha, a vulnerable area of 479.89 ha and a very vulnerable area in the downstream area of 85.44 ha. The Ngolang Watershed is divided into two categories dominated by a vulnerable area of 930.97 ha and a moderately vulnerable area of 568.68 ha. Meanwhile, the Balak Watershed is divided into two categories, namely a vulnerable area of 1,418.59 ha and a moderately vulnerable area of 1,243.53 ha
