Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase awareness of SD Inpres students at the Unhas Makassar Campus on the dangers of bullying and provide education in preventing it. This activity was carried out on May 22, 2024, involving 60 students and 10 teachers. The activity was carried out in three stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the preparation stage, educational materials, including simulation videos, were prepared with legal speakers who emphasized the legal aspects of bullying. The implementation stage included interactive discussions and questions and answers, as well as simulations to help students understand various forms of bullying. The results of the community service activity showed that the socialization had created a safer atmosphere in schools and fostered students' sense of social responsibility. It is recommended that schools continue this effort with the integration of anti-bullying into the curriculum and support from external parties, such as parents, to strengthen positive values ??at home. With the collaboration of all parties, this socialization is expected to be the basis for the formation of a safe and intimidation-free school culture.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out on March 26 to 28, 2024, to assist in implementing the Ramadan religious program at SD Inpres Kampus Unhas. This program is part of Campus Teaching Batch 7 and aims to instill Islamic values and strengthen student character education through educational and fun activities. The activity was attended by 55  students, 10 teachers, 5 Teaching Campus students, and a supervisor. The method used is a participatory-collaborative approach, which includes the initial observation stage, planning with the school, implementing core activities, and evaluating the results of assistance. The main activities included Flash Islamic Boarding School, Ramadan Amaliah Competition (adhan, hifzhil Qur'an, and lecture), and Iftar. All activities are designed to actively involve students and build a religious and meaningful Ramadan atmosphere. The mentoring results showed an increase in student participation and enthusiasm in religious activities, the growth of self-confidence, and the creation of positive relationships between students, teachers, and lecturers. Teachers responded enthusiastically and appreciated the contribution of students and lecturers in strengthening students' character. This activity is considered successful and can be used as a model for implementing religious programs in other elementary schools..

Abstract

This study investigates the diversity and difficulties associated with the Totammaq Tradition Celebration in Mandar communities in West Sulawesi. The impact of globalization, social change and internal dynamics on the existence of Totammaq is understood through a qualitative case study. A total of nine informants were purposively selected to represent different ages, genders and roles in society. The main focus of this research is the transformation of cultural values and globalization, illustrating how global information flows and changes in community beliefs can affect Totammaq operations. To gain a more in-depth understanding of Totammaq's role in the cultural identity of the Mandar people, data analysis was conducted through participant observation involved in the celebration and document examination. The results showed that both internal factors, such as the role of the younger generation and community dynamics, and external factors, such as changes in global cultural values, have a major influence on the sustainability of Totammaq. In addition, government and cultural policies play an important role in keeping the tradition alive. Amidst the challenges of the times, innovation and adoption appear to be effective strategies to maintain Totammaq's sustainability. Therefore, this research not only provides an in-depth picture of how the Totammaq lived, but also asks critical questions about how the Mandar people can maintain their traditions today. This research can help in cultural preservation in West Sulawesi and similar regions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the local socio-cultural context on the implementation of public policies in Indonesia and the obstacles that occur in the transition of policies from central regulations to reality on the ground. Based on a literature review approach, this research analyzes public policies such as the Village Fund and smart city development that face major challenges when they do not consider local cultural values. The findings show that policies that are not adapted to local culture, such as gotong royong in villages or the kinship system in Madura, often encounter obstacles in implementation. In addition, the transition of policies from central regulations to reality in the regions is also often constrained by the mismatch between central policies and the socio-cultural conditions that exist in the field. This research emphasizes the importance of public policy adaptation to local culture to ensure the success of the policy implementation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sistem administrasi dan optimalisasi penjualan online serta offline pada Rumah Batik Bunga Mawar di Kabupaten Bulukumba. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan materi pelatihan administrasi bisnis, pelatihan interaktif, serta pendampingan implementasi sistem administrasi terintegrasi yang mencakup pengelolaan stok, keuangan, dan transaksi penjualan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam efisiensi pengelolaan stok bahan baku dan produk jadi, transparansi keuangan, serta pengembangan sistem penjualan online yang memperluas jangkauan pasar. Penerapan teknologi pencatatan transaksi secara real-time juga mempermudah monitoring bisnis secara menyeluruh. Kesimpulannya, penerapan sistem administrasi yang terstruktur dan dukungan teknologi dalam penjualan berhasil meningkatkan kinerja dan daya saing Rumah Batik Bunga Mawar. Program ini berpotensi dikembangkan lebih luas sebagai model pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis administrasi dan teknologi digital di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Literacy is a crucial factor in enhancing education quality, particularly in the digital era. However, data from PIRLS 2021 reveals that Indonesian students, including those in Makassar City, still demonstrate low literacy levels. This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of an integrated literacy program within the Teaching Campus policy at UPT SPF SD Inpres Tello Baru. Using a qualitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design, the study involved 62 students from grades 4 and 5, as well as school principals, teachers, library staff, and Teaching Campus participants. The program consisted of three components: reading clinics, literacy fun games, and library revitalization. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ literacy. The reading clinic enhanced fluent reading in 68.2% of students receiving intensive support. Participation in literacy activities rose to 72.5% through fun games, while daily library visits increased from 5–8 to 15–20 students, with longer durations. Reading comprehension scores improved by 42%, with 85% of students achieving greater fluency and 75% showing better retelling skills. Despite challenges such as limited time and varying student abilities, the program’s success was driven by collaboration among Teaching Campus participants, school staff, and students. The results confirm that a holistic literacy approach—combining personalized guidance, interactive learning, and infrastructure enhancement—can effectively strengthen literacy culture in primary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dengan kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan multikultural di Polewali Mandar, daerah kaya budaya. Tujuan utama adalah menumbuhkan toleransi, penghormatan keberagaman, dan kebanggaan identitas lokal sesuai nilai Pancasila. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologis melibatkan 16 informan: delapan guru, empat siswa, dan empat orang tua dari lima sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan integrasi P5 melalui tradisi lokal seperti Sayyang Pattu’du (kuda menari) dan Mapande Banua (ritual membangun rumah) memperkaya pembelajaran dengan menghubungkan nilai Pancasila dan budaya lokal. Meskipun ada tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, pelatihan guru yang kurang, dan variasi pemahaman siswa terhadap budaya lokal, integrasi ini berdampak positif pada karakter siswa. Siswa lebih menghargai keberagaman budaya, memiliki identitas nasional yang kuat, dan keterampilan sosial yang meningkat. Guru dan orang tua melaporkan keterlibatan siswa yang lebih tinggi serta kebanggaan terhadap warisan budaya. Penelitian menekankan perlunya dukungan lebih, seperti pengembangan sumber daya lokal, pelatihan guru, dan keterlibatan orang tua. Penelitian lanjutan dianjurkan untuk mengevaluasi dampak jangka panjang dan membandingkan praktik di wilayah lain guna menemukan pendekatan terbaik integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan multikultural. Integrasi ini memperkuat karakter siswa dan identitas budaya Indsnesia di era global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi persepsi remaja tentang hubungan seksualitas dan cinta dalam konteks sosial budaya Indonesia serta pengaruh budaya, norma keluarga, dan media sosial terhadap pemahaman mereka. Metode kualitatif dengan wawancara semi-terstruktur dilakukan terhadap lima informan dari latar belakang berbeda pelajar SMA, mahasiswa, pegawai swasta, ibu rumah tangga, dan guru. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk memahami data. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa norma budaya dan keluarga yang konservatif sangat memengaruhi sikap remaja terhadap seksualitas dan cinta, terutama dalam membatasi ekspresi seksual pada hubungan resmi. Media sosial memberikan akses informasi yang lebih luas dan membuka ruang pemahaman yang lebih terbuka, tetapi juga menghadirkan stigma dan tekanan sosial yang kompleks. Perbedaan gender terlihat jelas; laki-laki lebih fokus pada aspek seksual, sementara perempuan lebih menekankan komitmen dan emosi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sosialisasi keluarga dan pengaruh media secara bersamaan membentuk konstruksi sosial remaja tentang seksualitas dan cinta. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya edukasi seksual yang kontekstual, inklusif, dan sensitif gender untuk mendukung perkembangan remaja yang sehat dan bertanggung jawab.This study examines adolescents perceptions of sexuality and romantic relationships within the Indonesian socio-cultural context, as well as the impact of culture, family norms, and social media on their understanding. A qualitative method involving semi-structured interviews was employed with five informants from diverse backgrounds: high school students, university students, private sector employees, homemakers, and teachers. Thematic analysis was used to understand the data. Results show that conservative cultural and family norms strongly influence adolescents' attitudes toward sexuality and love, especially in limiting sexual expression to formal relationships. Social media provides greater access to information and opens up a more open space of understanding, but it also presents stigma and complex social pressures. Gender differences are evident; men focus more on sexual aspects, while women emphasize commitment and emotions. This study confirms that family socialization and media influence together shape adolescents' social constructions of sexuality and love. The findings underscore the importance of contextualized, inclusive, and gender-sensitive sexual education to support healthy and responsible adolescent development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the family socialization function on preventing dating violence among high school students in South Sulawesi. A quantitative approach was used, collecting data through questionnaires from 208 high school students in South Sulawesi. The sampling technique employed was random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the family socialization function significantly prevented dating violence. The coefficient of determination of 0.895 indicates that the socialization function accounts for 89.5% of the variation in dating violence prevention. This study provides important implications for stakeholders, including schools, families, and local governments, to develop targeted strategies for preventing dating violence. The findings highlight the crucial role of adequate family socialization in shaping healthy, non-violent relationships among adolescents. Future research could explore specific socialization strategies and their long-term impacts on relationship dynamics and violence prevention in diverse cultural contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui peranan Sanggar Seni Wanua Masengereng dalam pelestarian budaya lokal di Kabupaten Wajo; (2) Mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi sanggar ; dan (3) Menganalisis strategi adaptasi sanggar dalam mempromosikan budaya di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Serta menggunakan teknik keabsahan data triangulasi sumber dengan jumlah 9 informan yang dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Sanggar berperan penting sebagai pusat edukasi, transmisi nilai budaya, dan penguat identitas kultural masyarakat Wajo. (2) Tantangan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya retensi peserta, keterbatasan anggaran, dan kesulitan membangun citra digital. (3) Strategi adaptif yang diterapkan meliputi inovasi kegiatan seni (tari kreasi), diversifikasi sumber finansial (kolaborasi, kelas berbayar), dan digitalisasi promosi melalui media sosial. Strategi ini terbukti efektif menarik minat generasi muda dan memastikan keberlanjutan pelestarian budaya lokal.
