Abstract

The development of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in elementary school students is an important aspect in modern education. The strategies identified through the literature study demonstrate potential in developing HOTS, including innovative learning approaches and the use of additional resources. However, challenges such as limited resources and resistance from teachers or students can hinder the implementation of these strategies. The recommendations provided through this discussion can help educators, policy makers, and researchers in overcoming these obstacles and effectively increasing the development of HOTS in elementary school students.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of emotion regulation skills on teacher professionalism. This study highlights the importance of emotion regulation skills for teachers in creating a positive learning environment, building strong relationships with students, and increasing teaching effectiveness. A lack of emotional regulation can undermine teachers' professionalism and the quality of their teaching. This research uses a qualitative literature study method on data relating to emotional regulation and teacher professionalism. Literature study is used as a research method in an effort to collect, analyze and synthesize findings and understanding that have been developed in scientific literature regarding the role of emotional regulation and teacher professionalism. The practical implications of these findings emphasize the need to support teachers in developing their emotion regulation skills to create a conducive learning environment and improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research discusses teacher readiness in integrating innovative competencies in teaching and the role of openness to experience in this process. Teachers' innovative competence is crucial in improving the quality of education, while openness to experience plays an important role in facilitating creativity, willingness to experiment, awareness of change, and collaboration in a professional environment. Developing teachers' innovative competence does not only require an understanding of innovative learning techniques, but also requires the development of an adequate attitude of openness to experience. Proper support in increasing the level of openness to teachers' experiences can be key to improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools.

Abstract

This research explores the role of reward and punishment in student learning motivation from an Islamic perspective. In Islam, rewards are promised to individuals who do good deeds, motivating students to behave positively in the hope of obtaining enjoyment in this world and the hereafter. Meanwhile, punishment functions as a warning to those who make mistakes, with the aim of correcting behavior and teaching the consequences of negative actions. However, it is important to pay attention to the limits and principles of justice in administering punishment, according to Islamic teachings. By understanding this concept, educators can use rewards and punishments wisely to encourage students' academic and moral achievements, while still adhering to Islamic values that prioritize kindness, justice and blessings.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, educational institutions such as Madrasah Ibtidaiyah are faced with the challenge of maintaining Islamic and traditional values. This qualitative research investigates Madrasah Ibtidaiyah's efforts to face globalization by strengthening the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, promoting local culture, community participation, and teacher training. With a balanced approach between global and local values, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has the potential to maintain the integrity of students' Islamic identity and traditional culture. These strategic steps aim to prepare students to face global challenges while adhering to the values they profess. Through the development of forward-looking strategies, it is hoped that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah can become an effective agent in promoting education rooted in Islamic values and strengthening social cohesion amidst global dynamics.

Abstract

Teachers' questioning skills play a pivotal role in effective learning, particularly in elementary school settings. Effective questioning fosters a dynamic classroom environment, fostering active student engagement and enhancing learning outcomes. Through qualitative methods and a literature study model, this research underscores the significance of teachers' questioning skills in shaping meaningful learning experiences and empowering students in their educational journey. Utilizing appropriate questioning techniques not only promotes student involvement but also facilitates deeper comprehension through discussions, reflections, and problem-solving activities. This study emphasizes the critical role of teachers in orchestrating interactive learning environments that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation among students.

Abstract

The research delves into the critical role of fostering social skills in elementary students, aiming to mold individual adept at navigating social environments. Utilizing a qualitative literature study method, it examines relevant data. The study emphasizes the vital contributions of educators and parents in honing students' social abilities, including fostering interpersonal relationships, honing communication skills, and facilitating conflict resolution. By fostering a supportive learning environment and providing ongoing parental guidance, students can develop the necessary social competencies to not only excel academically but also effectively engage in daily interactions. This holistic approach to social skill development ensures that students are well-equipped to succeed both in their academic pursuits and in their interpersonal relationships outside of the classroom.

Abstract

Sikap afektif mencakup aspek emosional dan sosial yang mendukung perilaku siswa, seperti tanggung jawab, disiplin, kerja sama, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Salah satu cara efektif untuk menumbuhkan sikap afektif adalah melalui penerapan daftar tugas kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pelaksanaan daftar tugas kelas dengan sikap afektif siswa sekolah dasar yang lebih rendah. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka dengan memeriksa berbagai sumber yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan daftar tugas kelas memiliki dampak positif terhadap sikap afektif siswa. Kegiatan tugas membantu siswa mengembangkan tanggung jawab dan disiplin melalui tugas-tugas terstruktur. Selain itu, kerja sama di antara siswa dalam melakukan tugas meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan solidaritas. Rasa peduli terhadap lingkungan juga dipupuk ketika siswa terlibat langsung dalam menjaga kebersihan dan ketertiban kelas. Dukungan dari guru dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam melaksanakan tugas sangat penting dalam mencapai hasil yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Masa transisi dari PAUD ke Sekolah Dasar merupakan periode emas untuk menumbuhkan epistemic curiosity anak, karena pada usia 6–7 tahun rasa ingin tahu muncul secara spontan tanpa kekhawatiran akan kesalahan atau keinginan untuk dinilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan prinsip strategi perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guna mengoptimalkan epistemic curiosity anak. Metode SLR digunakan dengan menganalisis 17 artikel menggunakan protokol PRISMA. Data dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa epistemic curiosity terdiri atas tipe interest (karena kebaruan) dan deprivation (karena kebutuhan informasi). Pembelajaran perlu menggabungkan stimulus kebaruan dengan penugasan yang menantang berpikir mendalam. Guru perlu menciptakan suasana belajar yang fleksibel, inklusif, dan mendorong eksplorasi aktif tanpa tekanan penilaian. Temuan ini menjadi acuan praktis dalam menyusun strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan epistemic curiosity anak di masa awal sekolah, sehingga potensi rasa ingin tahu mereka dapat dipelihara dan diarahkan secara optimal sejak dini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji optimalisasi penggunaan aplikasi Educaplay dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak, khususnya dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar dan regulasi emosi siswa melalui perspektif psikologi pendidikan Islam. Sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, Educaplay diharapkan dapat memperkuat proses belajar siswa dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pustaka, dengan menelaah berbagai literatur dan penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Educaplay dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan cara yang menarik dan menyenangkan, serta berperan penting dalam pengembangan regulasi emosi mereka. Aplikasi ini memanfaatkan metode yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip psikologi pendidikan Islam, yang menekankan pentingnya pengelolaan emosi dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengembangan karakter. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi dalam pendidikan Islam, jika dilakukan dengan benar, dapat menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih efektif, menyenangkan, dan berfokus pada pembentukan karakter. Oleh karena itu, Educaplay dapat menjadi alat yang berpotensi mendukung pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak dengan pendekatan yang lebih holistik dan terintegrasi dalam konteks psikologi pendidikan Islam.
