Abstract

Introduction: The knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation become important to be known by the lifeguard in the effort to save the drowning victims, so it is expected to save the life of the drowning victim, prevent the victim condition become worse and accelerate the victim's recovery. Then the effort that can be used to improve the knowledge and skills of lung heart pulmonary resuscitation is through basic life support training. The objective is to determine the effect of basic life support training on lung pulmonary cardiac resuscitation skills and skills in Sanur Beach 2018. Methods: This study used pre-experimental research design with one group pretest post-test design approach. Sampling used non-probability sampling with saturated sample technique (total sample). The number of samples this study as many as 17 respondents. Data collection using a knowledge questionnaire and an observation sheet of pulmonary cardiac resuscitation measures. Result: The result of data analysis using non-parametric statistic test that is Wilcoxon Rank Test with significance level 0,05 got p value <0,000 hence Ho rejected Ha accepted which mean there is influence of life support training base to knowledge and skill of heart resuscitation of lung lifeguard at Sanur Beach year 2018. In this study indicates that the more often the basic life support training is the more increasing the knowledge and skills on the lifeguard. Conclusion: Providing good and correct basic living assistance can make the lifeguard help save the drowning victim

Abstract

Background: Fractures will experience pain, which is an unpleasant multidimensional experience due to tissue damage. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be given to patients with Pertrochanteric Femur Fractures is the Cold Pack technique (cold compress), which effectively reduces pain in mild orthopaedic cases, while in severe orthopaedic cases, using ice water immersion is more recommended. Research Objective: To determine the effect of cold pack nursing therapy on reducing pain levels in the close-fracture Pertrochanteric Femur in the Emergency Room of Klungkung Regency Hospital. Methods: Methods using a case study approach. The sample in this study amounted to two people selected by the purposive sampling technique. Results: Providing cold compress action with cold packs to reduce pain in patients who have closed fractures obtained the results of the patient saying there is a change that is felt, namely slightly reduced pain in the fracture area in patients with Pertrochanteric femur fractures in the emergency room of Klungkung Hospital. Conclusions: Giving cold pack therapy can effectively reduce pain intensity in patients with closed fractures and decrease the pain scale after getting cold pack therapy nursing interventions.

Abstract

Background: Gastritis is one of the health problems in the community with a high prevalence. One of the symptomatic signs of gastritis is epigastric pain, which can interfere with the patient's activities. Pain complaints are still felt in some patients despite pharmacological therapy. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy to reduce the intensity of epigastric pain in gastritis patients in the emergency room of Klungkung Hospital. Method: This case study investigates two patients with gastric pain who were treated in the emergency room using convenience sampling, a non-probability sampling technique. Findings: Ms. A before the intervention was given a pain scale of 4 out of 1-10, and after the intervention, she was given a pain scale of 2 out of 1-10. Ms. B before the intervention was given a pain scale of 5 out of 1-10, and after the intervention, she was given a pain scale of 3 out of 1-10. Conclusion: Lavender aromatherapy is effective in reducing epigastric pain in gastritis patients. It is hoped that lavender aromatherapy can be applied as one of the non-pharmacological therapies in an effort to reduce the intensity of epigastric pain in gastritis patients.

Abstract

Background: Hyperthermia or high fever is a condition characterized by an increase in body temperature beyond normal limits. Fever will occur if a person's health condition is disturbed. Body temperature is said to be within normal limits if it is in the range of 36,5-37,50C. Research Objective: To determine the results of giving aloe vera compresses to reduce children's body temperature in hyperthermia with Dengue haemorrhagic fever in the Emergency Room of Klungkung Hospital. Methods: A Case study method using in this research. Two sample are chosen using Purposive sampling technique. Providing nursing interventions in the form of aloe vera compresses to reduce children's body temperature with hyperthermia in dengue haemorrhagic fever. Results: The first patient had a body temperature of 38.9 C before intervention and a body temperature of 37,5oC after intervention. The second patient had a body temperature of 38oC before intervention and a body temperature of 37,9oC after intervention. Conclusions: After being given an intervention in the form of aloe vera compresses proved effective in reducing fever in children.

Abstract

Background: Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach wall, especially the gastric mucosa. A common problem in gastritis patients is nausea or nausea which causes a feeling of discomfort in the back of the throat or stomach which can result in vomiting). Management of nausea in gastritis patients can be through independent actions of nurses or with pharmacological and non-pharmacological actions. One of the nurse's independent actions that can be done is acupressure pericardium (pc) 6. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of pericardium 6 acupressure therapy on reducing nausea in gastritis patients at Klungkung Regency Hospital as a prevention of hypovolemic risk. Methods: This final scientific work uses a case study design. The subjects in this final scientific work used two patients in nursing problems with one medical diagnosis of gastritis with the nursing problem of nausea. Results: The results showed that two patients who experienced complaints of nausea after being given acupressure intervention pericardium 6 in gastritis patients said nausea complaints were reduced. Conclusion: From interventions and research related to the effectiveness of giving acupressure therapy pericardium 6, it is proven effective in reducing nausea experienced by patients with gastritis.
