Abstract

High employee turnover remains a strategic challenge for many organizations, including PT Pesona Lazuardi Agung, a company operating in the international trade sector. This study aims to analyze the influence of job stress, workload, and work environment on employee turnover. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research employed the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 44 employees. The findings indicate that all three independent variables positively affect turnover, with workload emerging as the most dominant factor significantly contributing to employees’ intention to leave. Job stress shows a smaller yet significant effect, while the work environment has a moderate impact, particularly when physical conditions and psychosocial relationships are not conducive. This study underscores the importance of managing workload and creating a healthy work environment as essential strategies to improve employee retention. The research is limited by its scope, focusing solely on a single company, and by the use of a quantitative method that does not fully capture the subjective experiences of employees. Future research is recommended to integrate qualitative methods and broaden the organizational scope to gain a more comprehensive and representative understanding of turnover drivers in various industrial contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital human resource management (HRM) quality on customer satisfaction, with service quality acting as a mediating variable, within Indonesia’s e-commerce landscape. Employing a quantitative approach and structural equation modeling (SEM), data were collected from 300 Shopee users across multiple regions. The results indicate that digital HRM quality significantly influences customer satisfaction (β = 0.387, p < 0.001), with employee digital competence emerging as the most influential indicator. Moreover, service quality partially mediates this relationship, suggesting that internal HRM capabilities shape external consumer perceptions and experiences. The findings support the relevance of theoretical models such as the Resource-Based View (RBV), Service-Dominant Logic (SDL), and digital transformation theory in the Southeast Asian context. This study underscores the strategic value of human capital in digital markets and highlights the importance of continuous investment in employee digital skills. Practical implications are provided for e-commerce firms aiming to align HRM strategies with customer experience management to sustain competitiveness in dynamic digital environments.

Abstract

Empowering women through financial access and competency enhancement is crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. This study examined the role of financial inclusion and soft skill improvement in empowering women involved in MSMEs. This research employed a survey method on 315 women engaged in MSMEs in Tasikmalaya, with data collection conducted using questionnaires and analysis performed using the SEM PLS method. The findings assert that financial inclusion and soft skills significantly influence the empowerment and competitiveness of MSMEs, particularly those led by women. The recommendations of this study include the need to expand financial access, provide soft skills training, and offer business support services as strategies to enhance the competitiveness of women-managed MSMEs, thereby contributing to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article examines the urgency of revitalizing character education curricula at the junior high school (SMP) level in response to profound transformations driven by digital culture. The study aims to analyze existing models of character education implementation, identify the impacts of the digital era on students’ character formation, explore emerging challenges, and propose strategic directions for curriculum revitalization. Employing a qualitative descriptive literature review design, this study systematically analyzed peer-reviewed articles, academic books, and policy documents published over the last decade, sourced from reputable digital databases. The findings indicate that character education in Indonesian SMPs has been institutionally implemented through integrated intrakurikular, kokurikular particularly the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) and ekstrakurikular pathways grounded in Pancasila values and national education policy. While digital culture offers opportunities to enhance creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy, it simultaneously poses risks to students’ discipline, self-control, empathy, and integrity when not accompanied by adequate guidance. The study further identifies persistent challenges related to teacher preparedness, digital safety, cyberbullying, plagiarism, and assessment systems that remain predominantly oriented toward offline behavior. The implications of this study highlight the need to reconceptualize character education as a holistic integration of moral values, digital ethics, and civic responsibility, and to explicitly embed these dimensions within curriculum standards and assessment frameworks. As a limitation, this study relies on secondary data and does not capture direct empirical evidence from school practices. Future research is recommended to conduct empirical investigations that assess the effectiveness of digitally integrated character education models and explore the lived experiences of teachers and students in digital learning environments.
