Abstract

In this research Trigonometry Technique was implemented to predict the ball movement direction for Wheeled Soccer Robot Goalkeeper. The performance of goalkeeper robot in Wheeled Soccer Robot Contest is very important. The crucial problem with goalkeeper robot is the delay in ball detection by the camera because the results of the camera images captured are always slower than the pictures that have been captured. This causes the robot's response to blocking the opponent's kick ball being late. Trigonometry Technique is one technique that can be used to predict the direction of the ball movement based on trigonometry mathematical formulas. The input data used is the location of the last ball position (x?last ball and y-last ball) and the location of the current ball position (x-current ball and y-current ball). The outputs are the prediction of the next ball location (x-predict ball and y-predict ball) and the prediction of ball movement direction prediction. The results are the goalkeeper's robot successfully predicts the opponent's kick direction with 90% accuracy and can predict the location of the next ball very well. By implementing this method, it is expected to optimize the performance of the goalkeeper robot in saving the goal.

Abstract

ISPATINDO, a steel melting factory with production capacity 3360 tons/day, operates the electric arch furnace (EAF) to transform steel into liquid at Steel Melting Shop (SMS). It is then conveyed to another machine for further process until it becomes billet and wire rope. During its operation, the electric arc furnace once exploded on March 3rd, 2004.The explosion made 13 workers get wounded and even some died. Up to now, EAF components have frequently been damaged and repaired prior to the scheduled replacements.This condition makes index of reliability of EAF decrease significantly. If there’s no action to improve the maintenance strategy, component failure which may cause accident couldhappen. This research used the International Safety Rating System (ISRS) to determine the maintenance strategy on the electric arc furnace machine. ISRS method was used to obtain critical program which would serve as the main input in the preparation of maintenance strategy. With this strategy it was expected that ISRS could increase the effectiveness of production and prevent against the occurrence of occupational accidents, losses onmanagement, equipment, materials and environment.

Abstract

Mayoritas nelayan tradisional menggunakan tempat penyimpanan sederhana seperti kotak styrofoam, peti kayu, dan palka sederhana dengan media pendinginan es balok. Penyimpanan tersebut belum memiliki insulasi yang baik sehingga berakibat pada kualitas ikan yang menurun. Belum lagi keluhan terkait cepat rusaknya box ikan yang terbuat dari styrofoam tersebut. Kekurangan kotak ikan berbahan styrofoam adalah sangat mudah rusak dan berlumut. Beberapa penelitian memberikan solusi untuk menginsulasi palka dengan beberapa bahan insulasi seperti polyurethane, sekam padi, aluminium dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan laju perpindahan panas pada palka ikan kapal 7GT dengan variasi kevakuman dan persentase es terhadap ikan. Konstruksi insulasi dibuat sedemikian hingga dengan variasi fiberglass dan polyurethane dengan ketebalan tertentu diharapkan dapat meningkatkan masa pemakaian fish hold menjadi lebih lama.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan kajian eksperimen dengan memvariasikan stagger angle pada S/d = 0,75 konstan. Bentuk sudu turbin Savonius menggunakan persamaan myring dan menempatkan silinder sirkular pada daerah advancing. Kajian eksperimen dilakukan pad sudu kombinasi myring n=1 pada sisi cekung dan n=2 pada sisi cembung. Silinder berdiameter 12 cm ditempatkan pada sisi advancing dengan memvariasikan sudut stagger 0o, 15o, 30o, 45o, 60o, 75o dan 90o. Model uji berukuran tinggi dan diameter masing-masing sebesar 0,40 m dan flowing tank memiliki ukuran lebar dan tinggi masing-masing 1 m dan diuji pada arus 0,2 m/s. Hasil diperoleh bahwa silinder sirkular diletakan pada sisi advancing pada stagger γ = 60º menghasilkan Cp tertinggi 0,1515 atau meningkat sebesar 10,27% dibandingkan dengan tanpa silinder.

Abstract

The utilization of the Crushing and Barge Loading Conveyor (BLC) systems is important in coal processing. A crushing system is required as a tool for the process of crushing coal into smaller sizes and then transferring it to the stockpile. While a BLC system is needed to transport coal from the stockpile to the barge. In general, the control and supervision systems for crushing and BLC systems are carried out separately by two operators. However, the distance between two operators causes a time lag information. In this research, we create a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system with the type of Multiple Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) on the Crushing and BLC systems using Profinet communication integrated by two PLCs with one Human Machine Interface (HMI) and WinCC. The system is equipped with real-time data, automatic control, and online surveillance with smartphones via the S7APP application. The error resulting from the reading of each component by the HMI and smartphone reaches 0%, while for automatic control, the system works very well, having a success rate of 100%.

Abstract

The performance of Savonius wind turbine was improved in the previous experimental studies that added overlap and variation of disruptive cylinder distances in front of returning blade. However, the study could not display flow visualization such as velocity contours, streamlined velocity, and pressure contours on turbines so further research is needed. This research is in the form of numerical study using 3-dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. The simulation is, determine visualize the turbine’s flow like a velocity contours, streamlined velocity, and pressure contours. The turbine has the same diameter and height of 0.4 meters with overlap addition. The various distances of the disruptive cylinder used is S/d = 1.4; S/d = 1.7 ; S/d = 2 and S/d = 2.3. The final result shows that the visualization at a distance of S/d = 1.7 is the most optimal wake distance to cover the overall returning blade side so that the performance of the Savonius wind turbine at that distance is highest compared to other variations.

Abstract

Kelompok nelayan Sedati saat ini mengandalkan kapal ikan 1 GT untuk menangkap ikan di lautan. Mayoritas kapal yang dimiliki oleh nelayan sudah berbahan fiber. Dalam pengoprasiannya, sering terjadi kerusakan-kerusakan kecil pada kapal akibat benturan ataupun kandas pada tanah. Kerusakan-kerusakan ini tentunya akan mengganggu pekerjaan nelayan dalam mengangkap ikan. Oleh karenaya Nelayan perlu dibekali keahlian dalam perwatan dan perbaikan kapal berbahan Fiber, agar bisa melakukan perbaikan secara mandiri. Kegiatan pelatihan kapal berbahan Fiber akan diperuntukkan bagi kelompok nelayan di Kecamatan Sedati Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Pelatihan terdiri dari teori penggunaan kapal Fiber yang baik dan benar, teori perawatan dan perbaikan kapal fiber, teori pencampuran bahan fiber di kapal serta praktek langsung di lapangan.

Abstract

Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) merupakan pendekatan yang krusial dalam memitigasi risiko yang terkait dengan operasional forklift di lingkungan industri, terutama di Perusahaan Support Komponen Kereta Api. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menilai, dan mengelola risiko yang terkait dengan penggunaan forklift dalam konteks perusahaan tersebut. Metode HIRADC melibatkan langkah-langkah sistematis, mulai dari identifikasi bahaya potensial terkait penggunaan forklift, penilaian tingkat risiko untuk setiap bahaya, hingga pengembangan strategi pengendalian dan mitigasi. Bahaya yang mungkin timbul termasuk kecelakaan pengguna, kerusakan material, dan gangguan operasional. Penilaian risiko melibatkan evaluasi kemungkinan terjadinya bahaya dan dampaknya jika terjadi. Dengan menerapkan metode HIRADC, Perusahaan Support Komponen Kereta Api dapat memprioritaskan tindakan mitigasi yang diperlukan, mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan efisien. Abstract

Desa kalibuntu probolinggo merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di pesisir pantai, sehingga kebanyakan dari masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai nelayan. Profesi sebagai nelayan memiliki resiko tinggi untuk mengalami kecelakaan kerja yang disebabkan oleh perubahan cuaca dan ombak yang tidak menentu, serta kondisi perahu. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan pada 20 Maret 2001 kepada 12 ketua kelompok nelayan dengan anggota berjumlah 175 didapatkan hasil bahwa 58,3% nelayan pernah mengalami kecelakaan kerja, 58,3% tidak membawa perlengkapan keselamatan melaut seperti life jacket. Maka dari itu diadaknnyalah pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kesadaran nelayan akan budaya K3 saat melaut, serta pelatihan cara penggunaan p3k dan life jacket. Hasil pengabdian yang telah diadakan sebesar 90% masyarakat telah memahami serta menyadari pentingnya budaya K3 dan pentingnya membawa perlengkapan keselamatan saat melaut.
