Abstract

The low level of digital adoption among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in tax administration and marketing, continues to hinder competitiveness. This community service program focuses on empowering MSMEs in Masale Sub-district, Makassar City through Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tax literacy and the use of Augmented Reality (AR) for digital promotion. The activity aims to enhance MSME capacity through AI literacy training for tax management and the application of AR in digital marketing strategies. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), implemented through socialization, smart tax and AR content creation training, mentoring, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The results show a significant improvement, with the average accuracy increasing from 48.2% in the pre-test to 91.8% in the post-test. This program effectively strengthens MSMEs’ digital skills, improves operational efficiency, and expands AR-based promotional reach, all of which contribute to building a sustainable digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.

This research aims to determine the sustainability of the clothing merchant business in the Modern Era by focusing on three variables, namely entrepreneurial literacy, digital literacy and business sustainability. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomonological approach, and uses data collection techniques by interviews, direct observation of the research object. Then this research used 3 informants as research subjects, where these informants were the 3 most famous traders and had the largest business turnover in Makassar City. The Interaction Analysis Model uses concepts from Miles and Huberman. The research results show that the entrepreneurial literacy and digital literacy of clothing traders in this modern era can be categorized as good enough to support the development of these clothing traders. This is because traders have an understanding of the business they are establishing, never neglect in carrying out their obligations and things that could disrupt the continuity of their business. Meanwhile, business continuity shows that the clothing merchant business can be categorized as quite good, because it can develop and run well in line with increasingly modern developments.

Abstract

This study conducts a ten-year systematic mapping of competitive advantage within Southeast Asia’s creative industries, synthesizing insights from interdisciplinary literature to identify the key drivers shaping competitiveness in the region. The findings reveal that competitive advantage has shifted from traditional determinants toward an integrated model driven primarily by digital capability, innovation dynamics, and ecosystem support. Digital capability emerges as the most influential factor, enabling firms to enhance visibility, accelerate market reach, and adapt to rapidly changing platform environments. Innovation capability and dynamic organizational competencies further strengthen long-term competitiveness by facilitating continuous renewal, creative experimentation, and strategic resource reconfiguration. The analysis also highlights the central role of ecosystem governance, particularly public policy, infrastructure readiness, and institutional coordination in shaping industry performance. Countries with well-developed creative ecosystems, such as Singapore and Malaysia, demonstrate higher innovation maturity and digital integration, while others rely more heavily on community-driven or informal creative clusters. Platform-based competition and the rise of creator-led economies introduce new logics of value creation, emphasizing algorithmic mastery, content interactivity, and community engagement as key competitive mechanisms. Sustainability and cultural differentiation play equally significant roles, as creative firms increasingly integrate ethical practices, cultural authenticity, and collaborative partnerships to strengthen long-term relevance. Overall, the study concludes that competitive advantages in Southeast Asia’s creative industries is formed through the synergy of digital capability, innovation, ecosystem structures, cultural assets, and sustainability. These findings underscore the need for targeted policies, regional collaboration, and strategic digital development to position Southeast Asia as a globally competitive creative hub.

Abstract

This study examines the association between working capital turnover and profitability in a publicly listed telecommunications company over 2018–2024, spanning pre-pandemic (2018–2019), pandemic (2020–2021), and post-pandemic (2022–2024) phases. Using secondary data from audited annual financial statements and stock-exchange filings, the analysis applies ratio and trend techniques to assess how liquidity management relates to earnings performance amid shifting demand and investment cycles. The results indicate an inverse pattern: periods of higher working capital turnover did not coincide with higher profitability, while lower turnover was accompanied by improved profitability. This outcome aligns with the sector’s capital-intensive, subscription-driven cash cycle, where rapid turnover can reflect tighter working capital positions that constrain service quality and margin capture, whereas more moderate turnover is consistent with capacity expansion, disciplined receivables management, and stronger margins. The pandemic and its aftermath amplified these dynamics as surging data usage, network investments, and pricing pressures reshaped short-term liquidity needs and returns. The study contributes sector-specific evidence on liquidity–profitability trade-offs across a systemic shock and underscores that accelerating working capital turnover is not universally profit-enhancing in telecommunications. Managerially, the findings point to calibrating working capital policies to demand volatility, maintaining liquidity buffers, and aligning receivables and “inventory-like” network capacity with profitability targets.
