Abstract

One way to improve teacher professionalism is by encouraging teachers to write. The next step, once the writing is completed, is to publish it. Publishing before 2019 was still mostly done manually using printed journal books. Starting from 2019 until now, journals have begun to switch to online publishing. With online publishing, teachers automatically have to understand the procedures that apply in the open journal system (OJS) when sending articles. To bridge this need, Community Service is carried out so that teachers understand OJS which is now starting to become grounded. At least material on how to adjust templates, do submets, go through the process of review, copy editing, publishing and fees as a writer. This series of activities was given to teachers with the result that all teachers 100% understood the processes that occurred in the OJS journal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of arm and leg muscle strength on the accuracy of the jumping smash in badminton. This research method utilizes a quantitative approach with correlation techniques to identify the relationship between muscle strength variables and shot accuracy. The sample in this study consisted of 12 students of MAN Insan Cendekia Sambas who participated in badminton extracurricular activities. The analysis showed that arm muscle strength did not significantly influence the accuracy of the jumping smash, with a correlation value of 0.004. In contrast, leg muscle strength was shown to significantly influence the accuracy of the jumping smash, with a correlation value reaching 0.858. The results of this study indicate that explosive leg muscle strength has a greater influence on the accuracy of the jumping smash compared to arm muscle strength. Therefore, a training program that focuses on increasing leg muscle strength is highly recommended to improve badminton athletes' ability to execute the jumping smash.

Abstract

Operational asset management plays a strategic role in ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of warehouse activities within a company. PT. Indomarco Prismatama faces challenges in managing assets, particularly in the processes of asset borrowing, return, and maintenance, which are still conducted manually. This results in potential delays in data recording, reduced data accuracy, and limited information transparency. This study aims to design a web-based information system for managing asset borrowing, return, and maintenance to improve efficiency and accuracy. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology with a prototyping approach, which allows for user involvement through iterative stages. The system was built using the CodeIgniter 4 framework and a MySQL database. System testing was performed using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, involving 20 respondents, including Asset Admins, VUM Admins, and Managers. The evaluation results show an average SUS score of 81.9, indicating a high level of usability (Excellent). However, these results are limited to the current group of respondents and may not represent a broader user base. Overall, the developed system supports more effective, efficient, and transparent operational asset management, although further testing is needed to confirm its scalability and usability across a wider audience.

Abstract

Background: Physical fitness is a fundamental component of performance in futsal, a sport that demands high levels of stamina, strength, and endurance. Despite the abundance of training programs available, few have been systematically tested for their effectiveness in enhancing fitness among futsal athletes. Research Objectives: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of block training and circuit training in improving physical fitness among male futsal athletes. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest structure was employed. Twenty male futsal athletes from Universitas PGRI Pontianak were selected through purposive sampling and divided equally into a block training group and a circuit training group. Both groups underwent 12 training sessions over four weeks, each performed at full intensity (100% 1RM) using 10 fitness stations, including leg press, bench press, and sit-ups. Physical fitness was assessed using the Cooper test. Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests, with normality confirmed through the Shapiro-Wilk test. Finding/Results: Both training methods significantly improved the athletes’ physical fitness levels (p < 0.05). Although circuit training yielded slightly better average improvements than block training, the difference between the two was not statistically significant (p = 0.385). Conclusion: Both block and circuit training are effective in enhancing the physical fitness of futsal athletes. While circuit training may offer slight advantages in practical implementation, the absence of a statistically significant difference suggests that both methods can be applied flexibly based on training goals and athlete preferences. Future research should explore comparisons with other conditioning methods, such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or plyometrics, to identify the most optimal training strategy.
