Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam membentuk karakter disiplin sholat 5 waktu siswa, serta faktor penghambatnya, dan untuk mengetahui tingkat kedisiplinan siswa dalam melaksanakan sholat lima waktu khususnya dikelas VII A MTs Miftahussalam Medan. Dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang mana penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan segala sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan judul ataupun permasalan yang diangkat. Yaitu dengan melakukan observasi atau pengamatan ke lapangan, serta melakukan pengamatan terhadap peristiwa yang telah terjadi, serta dengan melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dan siswa dikelas VII A MTs Miftahussalam Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian telah ditemukan upaya yang dilakukan guru PAI dalam membentuk karakter disiplin sholat siswa yaitu dengan metode ceramah, metode pembiasaan, metode motivasi, metode evaluasi Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter disiplin sholat siswa kelas VII A MTs Miftahussalam sudah dapat dikatakan cukup baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan akhlak dalam perspektif Islam serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pembinaan karakter generasi muda di era modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Sumber data diperoleh dari literatur klasik dan kontemporer tentang akhlak Islam, pendidikan karakter, serta konsep pembinaan generasi muda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai akhlak Islam yang bersumber dari Al-Qur’an dan Hadis memiliki relevansi yang kuat dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda yang beriman, berakhlakul karimah, dan bertanggung jawab. Pembinaan karakter melalui nilai-nilai akhlak Islam dapat menjadi solusi terhadap krisis moral dan degradasi etika yang melanda generasi muda saat ini.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural country, faces serious challenges in maintaining social cohesion due to the increasing potential for conflicts based on intolerance. Islamic Religious Education, which has tended to be normative, is considered to be less than optimal in fostering religious moderation. This study aims to analyze the development of Islamic Religious Education materials based on multicultural values to strengthen religious tolerance and moderation, as well as to examine the role of teachers and school culture. The research uses a qualitative approach with a multisite study design at Panca Budi High School and Darussalam High School. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The results show that the integration of multicultural values into the curriculum and Islamic Religious Education materials is carried out systematically by emphasizing the social dimensions of Islam and applying contextual and dialogical learning strategies. Teachers act as agents of moderation who build an inclusive classroom climate, supported by a school culture that affirms the value of diversity through institutional policies and practices. These findings reinforce multicultural education theory and offer a model for developing an Islamic Religious Education curriculum that is adaptive to the realities of a pluralistic society and relevant to teachers and education policymakers.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Qur’anic memorization achievement and the factors contributing to variations in students’ tasmi’ performance at Tahfidz Intensive Center Medan. The research addresses how memorization outcomes are achieved within the tahfidz learning process and identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing students’ performance. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving ten students aged 14–20 years who participated in six-month and one-year ziyadah programs. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the implementation of the tikrar method, routine muroja’ah, a disciplined learning environment, structured halaqah schedules, and strong internal and external motivation significantly support students’ memorization achievement. The study also identifies several obstacles, including fatigue, boredom, inconsistent muroja’ah, and limited family support, which negatively affect memorization retention and performance consistency. The study argues that successful Qur’anic memorization achievement depends not only on methodological effectiveness but also on continuous supervision, psychological readiness, and sustained motivational support within the educational environment.

Abstract

This study examines the principal’s leadership strategies in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at Senior High School Kartika 1-2 Medan. The research addresses how school leadership contributes to strengthening instructional quality, teacher professionalism, learning facilities, and evaluation systems within Islamic Religious Education classes. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, and data were collected through in-depth interviews with relevant informants involved in the learning process. The findings reveal that the principal implemented several strategic initiatives, including enhancing teacher professionalism through continuous guidance and supervision, improving learning facilities and infrastructure such as reference books and instructional media, encouraging interactive and student-centered learning activities, and establishing a structured evaluation system to monitor the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning. The study also found that the leadership approach fostered a more conducive learning environment and strengthened student participation in religious activities. This study concludes that the principal’s leadership plays a significant role in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning through adaptive management, continuous evaluation, and the integration of professional development and educational support systems.
