This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of price (X1), location (X2), and consumer income (X3) will affect the decision to purchase subsidized housing (Y) using multiple linear regression analysis methods, and hypothesis testing including the t test, F test, and coefficient of determination test. Data collection was carried out using the interview method with subsidized housing consumers Mulia Jaya in Jembrana Regency. The results of this study indicate that price, location, and consumer income have a positive influence on subsidized housing purchase decisions, namely 0.004 <0.05 and an f-count value of 5.786> f-table 3.245, meaning that there is a simultaneous or joint influence of price (X1), location (X2) and consumer income (X3) on the decision of consumers to purchase subsidized housing (Y). The research results from the various analyzes carried out can be used as benchmarks and references for other researchers to conduct similar research but with different places that can use this research as a reference to produce higher quality research results. Keywords: Costumer income, Location, Price, Purchase decision

Increasingly intense market competition in the digital era requires companies to implement effective recruitment strategies to attract the best talent, particularly from Generation Z. This generation is highly familiar with digital technology and social media, making digital platforms their primary source of information regarding employment opportunities. In this context, employer branding and corporate social media utilization play important roles in shaping perceptions and influencing job application intentions. Although previous studies have examined the influence of employer branding and social media on recruitment outcomes, the findings remain inconsistent and often contradictory. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and evaluate the effects of employer branding and the intensity of corporate social media usage on the job application intentions of Generation Z. The research focuses on Generation Z individuals residing in the Singaparna area. This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing job application decisions among young people in the digital era. The findings are anticipated to serve as valuable insights for companies in designing more effective, innovative, and targeted recruitment strategies that align with the characteristics and preferences of Generation Z as the future workforce.

Abstract

Quiet quitting the deliberate restriction of work effort to contractual minimums poses a growing threat to employee performance, particularly among Generation Z in MSMEs characterized by limited HR formalization and multi-tasking demands. This study investigates the effect of quiet quitting on job performance among Generation Z employees in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Tasikmalaya City, West Java—a region with an open unemployment rate of 6.49% (BPS, 2024) that surpasses the national average, and whose MSME-dominated economy creates conditions where boundary-setting behavior is especially prevalent—with work engagement as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative-explanatory design, data were collected from 97 purposively sampled Gen Z MSME employees (minimum six months’ tenure, ensuring post-adaptation familiarity with organizational work culture) and analyzed via Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). All instruments adapted from English were subjected to back-translation procedures to ensure content validity. Results reveal that quiet quitting has no direct effect on job performance, yet exerts a significant positive effect on work engagement a counterintuitive finding explained through Conservation of Resources Theory. Work engagement, in turn, strongly predicts job performance and fully mediates the quiet quitting performance relationship. These findings challenge prevailing assumptions about quiet quitting as uniformly detrimental, suggesting that boundary-setting behavior may paradoxically sustain employee engagement in MSME settings. Organizations are advised to prioritize engagement-building interventions over punitive responses to quiet quitting.
