Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on integrating local wisdom into school learning, providing a comprehensive overview of scholarly developments from 2010 to 2024. Utilizing the Scopus database, the bibliometric method retrieved an initial 284 documents, refined to 145 after applying inclusion criteria. The analysis reveals a significant annual growth rate of 28.21 percent in publications, indicating a burgeoning interest in this field. Indonesia emerged as the leading contributor in the number of publications and citations; the most productive authors and the most cited documents also originated from Indonesia. Co-occurrence keyword analysis identified vital themes such as character education, the development of learning media, and the innovative use of technology—including mobile learning and augmented reality—to facilitate local wisdom integration. Despite the predominance of Indonesian research, international collaboration remains limited, highlighting opportunities for comparative studies and broader global engagement. The findings suggest integrating local wisdom into education enhances cultural preservation, student engagement, and moral development. Future research should explore technology's role in this integration, assess long-term educational outcomes, and encourage international partnerships to enrich the global discourse on culturally responsive education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of teachers in shaping character education management in Senior High Schools (SMA). Character education is a top priority in shaping students' personalities and morals, and teachers play a central role in its implementation. Using qualitative methods with a case study approach in several selected high schools, this study found that teachers not only act as learning facilitators, but also as the main agents in instilling character values such as honesty, responsibility, and discipline. However, the implementation of character education in high schools faces several challenges, including the lack of special training for teachers, minimal support facilities, and inconsistent school policies in integrating character education. Therefore, strong support from school management and the involvement of parents and the community are important factors in the success of the implementation of character education. Based on the research results, it is recommended that there be ongoing training for teachers and increased synergy between schools, families, and the environment in supporting character education.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a school management model rooted in sabilulungan local wisdom to enhance school quality sustainably in the society 5.0 era. This strategy is crafted to address the complexities of contemporary educational management, necessitating a synergy between advanced technology and local cultural values. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology utilizing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, employing methodological and source triangulation to enhance the validity of the findings. The study's findings suggest that school management incorporating sabilulungan values, including mutual cooperation, deliberation, and togetherness, enhances the efficacy of planning, implementation, organization, and supervision inside educational institutions. This model enhances community engagement, fortifies a humanistic organizational culture, and elevates overall educational outcomes. The model’s implementation has demonstrated efficacy in the social and technological environment of West Java, especially sundanese culture, bolstered by the support of administrators, teachers, and school communities as critical success factors. This research is innovative in its integration of POAC management concepts, local values of sabilulungan, and technological requirements of the Society 5.0 period into a singular, usable model framework. This research presents theoretical advancements in the formulation of management models grounded in local wisdom and proposes practical methods for enhancing adaptable, participatory, and contextual school management.

Abstract

Abstract

This study identifies the successful green leadership practices of a primary school principal, serving as a reference for other educational leaders in responding to the global environmental crisis. The Biographical Narrative Interpretive Method (BNIM) was employed to explore the principal's leadership journey through narrative inquiry, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings were analysed using BNIM procedures, presented thematically, and visualised using NVivo software. The study reveals patterns of green school leadership that contribute to the development of leadership Theory through three specific technical contributions. Methodologically, this research introduces BNIM as a novel approach to exploring environmental leadership development in educational sectors. Theoretically, it establishes an operational framework for green school leadership, comprising five personal values and six measurable leadership practices. It provides a proven implementation model for effectively addressing school environmental challenges. Research contributions are demonstrated through concrete solutions to school environmental problems, including the elimination of waste bins through the universal adoption of reusable containers by students and the transformation of the school into a pilot site for cultivating 60 horticultural trees, promoting sustainable ecological learning. Additionally, six measurable leadership strategies were implemented, encompassing the establishment of vision, sharing environmental knowledge, inspirational communication, stakeholder engagement, proactive behavior, and long-term commitment. These strategies effectively address waste management challenges, promote environmental awareness within the school community, and significantly contribute to the development of green leadership practices in educational institutions
