Abstract

Analisis kebijakan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini yang diteliti pada tahun 2005, menjadi bahan kajian ulang dalam pelaksanaan kebijakannya. Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini merupakan pondasi penting dalam pendidikan selanjutnya, dimana masa ini terkenal dengan golden age, yang membuat para orang tua berlomba-lomba untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan anak. Analisis kebijakan ini berkaitan pengaruh (1) Tingkat Pendidikan Guru / tutor; (2) Besarnya insentif guru / tutor; (3) Tingkat kompetensi guru / tutor; (4) Tingkat pendidikan; (5) Tingkat kompetensi guru PNS, Honorer dan guru sukarela untuk menciptakan kualitas anak ideal.

Abstract

Kecepatan perubahan dalam berbagai aspek menjadi satu pemikiran penting manakala menyentuh bidang pendidikan. Kompetensi profesional guru menjadi aspek penting dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, di mana guru tidak saja dituntut untuk memahami keprofesionalannya, namun harus mampu melakukan inovasi di dalamnya. Program ini memiliki dua tahap yaitu pada tahap pertama dilakukan pemahaman tentang pengertian profesi, profesionalisme guru, kompetensi guru, hubungan profesionalisme guru dan inovasi pendidikan, dan inovasi pendidikan berdasarkan standar kompetensi profesional guru; pada tahap kedua dilakukan diskusi kelompok tentang inovasi apa saja yang bisa dilakukan untuk menunjukkan profesionalisme guru. Dengan demikian kegiatan ini menjadi motivasi guru untuk berinovasi dalam profesinya.

Abstract

Salah satu manajemen sekolah yang sering terlupakan adalah manajemen kerjasama sekolah dalam hal ini sekolah dan masyarakat, di mana kadang hal tersebut merasa tidak terlalu penting terjalin, padahal kerjasama antara sekolah dan masyarakat merupakan salah satu aspek penting untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Masyarakat memiliki peran multi, di satu pihak sebagai pendukung, pengontrol dan customer dari pendidikan, peran kerjasama ini menjadi utama manakala tahun ajaran baru, di mana sekolah membutuhkan calon peserta didik. Dan ekspektasi masyarakat terhadap sekolah terbentuk dari besarnya jaringan kerjasama.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a digital module using the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework in enhancing students' life skills and assessing the effectiveness of lecturers' learning management. The respondents of this study were the fourth-semester students of the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program. This study employed an R&D (Research and Development) design that follows the 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) model. The design adopted the theory proposed by Plomp, which outlines five steps: problem analysis, design, realization, implementation, and evaluation. The findings of this study indicated that students have a significant role in teaching and learning process. It revealed the lecturers’ self-reflection on digital technology-based teaching abilities. Additionally, it implied the development of student creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, negotiation, and decision-making skills. These are integral components of 21st-century skills that play a pivotal role in students' future careers. This study concluded that the digital module using TPACK framework could enhance students' life skills and demonstrated high practicality regarding usage and lecturers’ self-development.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Islamic character education program in elementary schools in Pidie Jaya Regency using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product) to determine its effectiveness, readiness, and the challenges encountered in shaping students’ character. Applying a qualitative evaluative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the education office, school principals, teachers, and community leaders, as well as documentation studies of curricula, assessment instruments, and school activity programs. The findings indicate that in terms of context, the program is strongly supported by local government regulations and the religious culture of the community. In the input component, teacher competence in integrating Islamic character values into learning and the availability of facilities such as prayer rooms, libraries, and character-building spaces vary significantly among schools, influencing program quality. Regarding the process, religious habituation activities such as congregational prayer, Qur’an recitation, and moral guidance are implemented well, although the integration of character values into classroom learning remains inconsistent. In the product component, the program demonstrates positive impacts on students’ behavior, but its effectiveness is hindered by digital exposure, limited parental supervision, and uneven implementation across schools. The study concludes that the program is moderately effective but requires strengthening in teacher capacity, facility provision, and collaboration among the three centers of education: school, family, and community. Recommendations include continuous teacher training, development of adequate supporting facilities, enhancement of digital literacy and supervision, and the establishment of a more systematic and sustainable evaluation mechanism for program improvement. Pada aspek proses, kegiatan pembiasaan religius seperti salat berjamaah, tadarus, dan pembinaan akhlak berlangsung baik, tetapi integrasi nilai karakter ke dalam pembelajaran masih belum konsisten di semua sekolah. Pada aspek produk, program memberi dampak positif terhadap perilaku siswa meskipun belum optimal karena adanya pengaruh digitalisasi, rendahnya pengawasan orang tua, dan variasi penerapan antar sekolah. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa program telah berjalan cukup efektif namun membutuhkan penguatan pada kompetensi guru, fasilitas pendukung, dan sinergi tripusat pendidikan. Saran penelitian meliputi peningkatan pelatihan guru, pengembangan sarana prasarana, penguatan literasi digital, serta evaluasi program yang lebih sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

Abstract: This qualitative phenomenological study investigates transformational leadership practices in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) through the lens of teachers' lived experiences. The research was conducted at Pesantren X with six experienced teachers serving as primary participants through purposive sampling. Data were collected via in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis with ATLAS.ti version 24 software. The study identifies four major themes: (1) Presence as Pedagogy, whereby leaders cultivate spiritual transformation through active participation in daily religious rituals and consistent physical supervision; (2) Accessible Authority, demonstrating how leaders balance traditional Islamic authority with democratic accessibility mechanisms; (3) Value Transmission Through Practical Responsibility, showing how students develop character virtues (amanah, integrity, and trustworthiness) through authentic management responsibilities; and (4) Restorative-Investigative Conflict Resolution, integrating Islamic justice principles (musyawarah and collective learning) with contemporary restorative practices. Findings reveal that transformational leadership in pesantren operates distinctly from Western organizational models, emphasizing relational presence, moral exemplarity, and communal value-formation. This study provides culturally-grounded empirical evidence enriching transformational leadership theory within Islamic educational contexts, offering actionable insights for pesantren administrators and informing educational policy development in Indonesian secondary education. Abstract

Abstract: this research aimed to investigate the role and impact of the principal's managerial competence in improving the performance of teaching staff at SMPN 3 Bandar Dua. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, and direct observation in the school environment. The results of the data analysis show that the principal's managerial competence has a crucial role in creating an effective and supportive learning environment. Human resource management, curriculum development, learning monitoring, and effective communication emerged as important aspects of these competencies. The findings of this study provide valuable insights into how school principals can become agents of change in improving teacher performance through the development of appropriate and measurable managerial competencies. Abstract

Abstract: This study explores teachers' perceptions of secondary school principal leadership practices in Indonesia, examining how transformational, instructional, distributive, and servant leadership dimensions integrate in daily practice. The research identifies specific leadership behaviors perceived as most significant by teachers and analyzes their impact on teacher well-being, motivation, and professional commitment in Indonesian secondary education contexts. The study employed a descriptive phenomenological design with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with one experienced secondary school teacher using purposive sampling. Analysis utilized Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis approach, with ATLAS.ti version 23 software facilitates systematic coding and pattern visualization. Four major themes emerged: (1) Personal Care and Attention, reflecting servant leadership through regular evaluation and crisis support; (2) Authority Delegation and Trust, demonstrating distributive leadership with structured guidance; (3) Teacher Professional Development, through weekly dissemination programs and classroom observation; and (4) Transformational Leadership, involving meaningful vision formulation, participation and multichannel communication. However, bidirectional collaborative learning between principals and teachers showed limitations. This study provides the first empirical evidence of multi-dimensional leadership integration in Indonesian secondary school contexts, advancing knowledge by demonstrating how Western leadership theories adapt within non-Western cultural frameworks. It introduces teachers' voices as a primary data source, offering insider perspectives often neglected in leadership studies and revealing authentic distributive leadership implementation challenges within hierarchical cultures. Findings inform principal training program development and educational policy formulation regarding competency standards and performance evaluation systems in Indonesian secondary education. Abstract

Abstract: This phenomenological study explored teacher perceptions of Islamic leadership values implementation in Islamic-based secondary schools (MTS) during management reform. Research involved ten teachers from three MTS in Pandeglang, Banten, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews (60-90 minutes) and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis with ATLAS.ti software. The study examined five key dimensions: exemplary leadership (qudwah hasanah), interpersonal relations (ukhuwah Islamiyah), participatory decision-making (shura), management reform effectiveness, and teacher competency development. Findings reveal that teachers perceive Islamic leadership as a holistic integration of spiritual and operational dimensions. Notably, management reform synergizes with Islamic values when implemented gradually with cultural sensitivity, enhancing both operational efficiency and spiritual purposes (dakwah and tarbiyah). Teacher development integrates formal training with mentoring and peer support, fostering simultaneous professional competency and spiritual growth. This study provides empirical evidence from teacher perspectives—frontline implementers—demonstrating that modern management innovation and Islamic principles can effectively align in educational practice.
