Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of students' concepts of IPAS subjects. This study aims to determine the differences and improvement in students' concept understanding between experimental classes using digital media based on Pop-Up Book and control classes using human digestion board media. This research uses a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design with the type of research Nonequivalent control group. The instrument used in this research is a test in the form of esay. The subjects in this study were grade V students. Data analysis techniques in this study used normality test, homogeneity test, t test and n-gain calculation. The test results show that the hypothesis is accepted, with the obtained t_ (count) (6.98) greater than t_table (2.02) and the calculation of n-gain shows an increase with a moderate category. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the understanding of the concept of experimental class students using digital media based on Pop-Up Book with control class using human digestion board media, and there is a difference in increasing the understanding of the concept of experimental class students using digital media based on Pop-Up Book with control class using human digestion board media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa pada muatan bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode fonik terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa pada muatan Bahasa Indonesia di kelas I SD Negeri 1 Awirarangan Kecamatan Kuningan Kabupaten Kuningan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah metode fonik dan variabel terikatnya adalah kemampuan membaca permulaan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I SD Negeri 1 Awirarangan tahun ajaran 2022/2023, dengan jumlah keseluruhan 53 siswa, yang terdiri dari 27 siswa kelas IA sebagai kelas kontrol dan 26 siswa kelas IB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji t, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan dan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pada siswa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode fonik dan tidak menggunakan metode fonik. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan hasil uji t yang menunjukan H1 diterima karena thitung > ttabel. Sedangkan hasil uji n-gain menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol memiliki kategori rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbentuk Board Game agar menarik perhatian siswa dan memudahkan siswa dalam memahami local wisdom sebagai bagian dari upaya penanaman karakteristik berkebinekaan global sebagai salah satu karakteristik pelajar pancasila. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SD kelas III di SDIT Darul Amanah, metode yang digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) model Borg & Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi tiga langkah-langkah penelitian pengembangan, yang terdiri dari studi pendahuluan, pengembangan, serta pengujian dan diseminasi. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah observasi, wawancara, penilaian produk oleh ahli, dan penyebaran angket efektivitas media board game tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan media board game berbasis local wisdom dalam menanamkan karakter berkebhineakaan global dikatakan layak berdasarkan hasil validasi produk oleh validator ahli materi dan validator ahli media setiap komponen mencapai kevalidan yang tinggi yang dibuktikan dengan nilai rerata skor Aiken’s V 0,813. Luaran penelitian ini adalah sebuah produk media pembelajaran berbentuk Board Game yang akan disosialisasikan ke guru-guru di sekolah.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe problem in this research is motivated by students' low critical thinking skills due to different learning styles, passive and not conducive. The purpose of this study was to describe the differences in students' critical thinking skills and the differences in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills in social studies content using somatic, auditory, visual and intellectual (SAVI) models. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative approach using the experimental method, namely quasi-experimental with the research design, namely nonequivalent control group design with a pretest before treatment and posttest after treatment. It consists of two important variables, namely the dependent variable (Y) critical thinking skills and the independent variable (X) somatic, auditory, visual and intellectual models (SAVI). This research was conducted in class V in the even semester of SD Negeri 4 Kuningan for the 2022/2023 academic year, with 40 students as research subjects. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, namely descriptions based on indicators of critical thinking skills. As for the data analysis technique used in this study, namely the normality test, homogeneity test, N-gain test, t test or difference test between the critical thinking abilities of control and experimental class students as well as different tests increasing students' critical thinking skills in the control and experimental classes . The results showed that there were differences in ability and differences in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class which was given the somatic, auditory, visual and intellectual (SAVI) treatment model and the control class which used the discovery learning model.Keywords:  SAVI learning model; critical thinking; social sciences.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of science in class V of SD Negeri 17 Kuningan. This is because the method of delivering the material still uses conventional methods and the lack of use of learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences and improvements in student learning outcomes in the subject of science between classes that use mystery box learning media and classes that use textbooks. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects in this study were 46 students in class V of SD Negeri 17 Kuningan consisting of 23 students in class VA and 23 students in class VC. The data collection technique used a written test in the form of multiple choices. The data obtained were then analyzed using the t-test and N-Gain test. The results of the t-test calculation obtained a value of t count = 8.54 and table = 1.68 (t count > table). So it can be concluded that Hı is accepted and Ho is rejected. This shows that there are differences in student learning outcomes in classes that use mystery box media and classes that use textbooks.The N-Gain calculation shows that the results in the experimental class are 0.5 and the control class is 0.01. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the increase in student learning outcomes in classes that use mystery box media with classes that use textbooks.
