Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi biomassa berbagai jenis tumbuhan liar sebagai alternatif sumber bahan organik dalam meningkatkan produktivitas tanah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan percobaan di rumah kaca. Penelitian dirancang dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan perlakuan A: alang-alang (Imperata cylindrica), B : krinyu (Cromolaena odorata), C : kentawong (Blumea mollis), D : pepeti (Pephrosia spinosa), E : kosta (Acacia sp), F : dui (Acacia pernesiana), G : sengon (Blumea sp). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis keragaman pada taraf 5% dan diuji lanjut dengan BNJ pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Imperata cylindrica masih memiliki C/N ratio > 20 tetapi Cromolaena odorata, Blumea mollis, Pephrosia spinosa, Acacia sp, Acacia pernesiana, dan Blumea sp telah mencapai kadar C/N ratio < 20, C/P ratio < 200, dan N total akhir kompos meningkat dari N total awal sebelum dekomposisi hal ini menunjukkan biomassa tumbuhan liar tersebut berpotensi sebagai sumber bahan organik.

Abstract

Simple Drip Irrigation is automatic and cheap plant watering. Simple Drip Irrigation is a plant watering technique that uses a water reservoir or water reservoir can be a used bottle that is given a channel to drip the planting media little by little constantly, so that the planting media remains fulfilled its water needs, without becoming muddy and the water supply remains sufficient. This study aims to determine the water efficiency by using drip irrigation method on the growth of lettuce plants. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a Randomised Group Design (RAK) consisting of 3 treatments, namely 3 replications so as to obtain 12 experimental units, first P1 = 300ml water application, second P2 = 200ml water application, and P3 = 100ml water application and analysed using analysis of variance (Anova) at a real level of 5% and if there is a treatment that has a real effect then a test is carried out using the honest real difference test (BNJ) at a real level of 5%. The results of field research conducted by researchers that the provision of drip irrigation has no significant effect on the parameters of plant height, dry trimmed weight, stem diameter, soil texture but significantly different on wet trimmed weight and for the best treatment obtained in the P2 treatment which produces the highest wet trimmed weight of 93 grams.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical characteristics of agricultural waste decomposed with different bio-activator sources. The method used in the research is an experimental method using a one-factor Completely Randomised Design, namely the source of Bio-Activator with 4 (four) treatments, namely B0: Commercial EM 4, B1: PGPR bamboo, B2: MOL, B3: Coconut water.  Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that 12 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed included moisture content, biomass weight change, temperature and compost colour. The research was conducted in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah Mataram University. The data obtained were statistically analysed using Analysis of Variance at the 5% level. Treatment results that have a significant effect will be continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the temperature value, the final weight of compost and the percentage difference in compost weight were not significantly different in all treatments.

Abstract

One alternative energy source for making organic waste which can be renewed is pineapple waste and tofu waste. Biogas produced from these two materials is environmentally friendly so it does not disturb the environment. The purpose of this research was to determine the changes in temperature and pH that occurred during the formation of pressure and volume of biogas. The method used in this study was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD). There are 4 treatments in this study, namely T1: pineapple waste; T2 : tofu liquid waste; T3 : addition of tofu solid waste; and T4 : addition of tofu liquid waste and tofu solid waste. The measurement results were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If significantly different results were found, a further test was carried out with BNJ. The results showed that the addition of tofu waste significantly affected the temperature, pH, pressure and volume of bioga. The average temperature for each treatment was 28oC, while the highest pH was 8.55. The highest pressure calculation results were found at T4 of 109.42 N/m2, while for the highest volume it was found at T4 of 0.000016642m3. Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah hingga saat ini belum optimal padahal sampah dapat diolah menjadi barang bernilai ekonomis. Keterbatasan pengetahuan dan minimnya keterampilan menjadi kendala dalam pengolahan limbah. Maka dari itu perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan SDM dalam pengelolaan sampah organik maupun anorganik. Pemberdayaan masyarakat lingkar tambang dalam pengolahan limbah organic adalah prioritas utama untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang sehat, membuka lapangan pekerjaan, terciptanya produk unggulan desa ramah lingkungan di Desa Daha Kecamatan Hu’u. Pendekatan metode yang digunakan adalah melalui wawancara dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama masyarakat dan kelompok binaan PT STM. Pengolahan limbah organik dari aktivitas pertanian dan peternakan menjadi kompos berjalan dengan baik atas prakarsa yang dilakukan oleh kelompok binaan PT STM hingga saat ini. Namun pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga belum berjalan secara optimal dan bersifat temporal sehingga diperlukan integrasi dengan kelompok binaan PT STM untuk memperkuat jaringan kelompok karang taruna dalam mengelola sampah organic rumah tangga sebagai input tambahan dalam pembuatan kompos padat maupun cair. Hasil uji laboratorium kompos yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam kegiatan hydroseeding lahan reklamasi kawasan PT STM.

Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian ini difokuskan pada pengolahan sampah atau sisa buah dan sayur dari rumah tangga menjadi produk yang bermanfaat dan dapat menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis sehingga solusi penanganan sampah tersebut juga dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.  Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu koordinasi dengan mitra, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian yaitu memperkenalkan variasi pengolahan limbah, tahapan pembuatan ecoenzym dari sampah rumah tangga (kulit buah dan sisa sayuran segar), serta meningkatkan pemahaman mitra mengenai manfaat ecoenzym dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pelatihan pertama yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan pembuatan ecoenzyme dengan bahan baku limbah rumah tangga (sisa buah dan sayur yang masih segar). Setelah produk ecoenzyme dipanen, dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan sabun padat ecoenzyme. Kegiatan praktek dilakukan dalam kelompok-kelompok dan dibimbing oleh tim pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian. Mitra sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan , dimana 87% responden menyatakan puas dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Kata kunci: ecoenzym; limbah organik; sabun. Abstract This community service activity is focused on processing waste or fruit and vegetable scraps from households into useful products and can become products of economic value so that the waste handling solution can also be one of the solutions to increase community income. Service activities are carried out in three stages, namely coordination with partners, training and mentoring. The objectives of the service activities are to introduce variations of waste processing, the stages of making ecoenzymes from household waste (fruit peels and fresh vegetable scraps), and increase partners' understanding of the benefits of ecoenzymes in everyday life. The first training conducted was training in making ecoenzyme with household waste raw materials (fresh fruit and vegetable scraps). After the ecoenzyme products were harvested, training was conducted on making ecoenzyme solid soap. Practical activities were carried out in groups and guided by the team implementing the service activities. Abstract

Biomass energy is produced by converting solid raw materials into a more useful compressed form known as briquettes. This study aims to examine the effect of varying compositions of charcoal briquettes using a mixture of cocoa shells and rice husks on the briquette characteristics. The experimental method employs a Completely Randomized Design with four treatments: P1 = 100% cocoa shells, P2 = 75% cocoa shells + 25% rice husks, P3 = 25% cocoa shells + 75% rice husks, and P4 = 100% rice husks. The study finds that the lowest moisture content is in P3 (8.01%), the lowest ash content is in P3 and P4 (4.1% and 3.8%, respectively), the highest calorific value is in P1 (3,658 cal/g), the longest ignition time is in P3 (50 minutes), and the best hardness is in P2 (785.95 N). Based on the results, the best treatment is P3, which achieves a moisture content of 8.01%, ash content of 4.1%, and the longest burning time of 50 minutes.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan pendampingan adalah untuk mengimpeemensikan mesin putar tanah liat untuk meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas gerabah. Metode pendampingan terdiri dari penyuluhan alih teknologi mesin putar otomatis, pelatihan pengoperasian mesin putar otomatis, praktik pembuatan gerabah dengan mesin putar otomatis, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Sasaran mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Ibu-ibu pengrajin gerabah yang tinggal di Desa Banyumulek, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan alih teknologi mesin putar tanah liat otomatis dihadiri oleh 15 orang peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan dari awal hingga akhir. Selanjutnya hasil dari pelatihan bagaimana mengoperasikan mesin putar otomatis peserta dapat menggunakan dengan baik dan menunjang usaha pembuatan gerabah yang diproduksi setiap hari. Mesin putar otomatis yang digunakan tidak jauh berbeda dengan alat putar sebelumnya, hanya saja mesin putar otomatis ini bertenaga listrik sehingga pengrajin tidak perlu mengeluarkan tenaga untuk memutar alat dan kedua tangan fokus dalam membentuk gerabah. Sehingga dari hasil evaluasi terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 80%, keterampilan sebesar 76%, dan jumlah produksi sebesar 75%. Kata kunci: tanah liat; mesin putar; gerabah Abstract The aim of the assistance is to improve the clay turning machine to increase the quantity and quality of pottery. The mentoring method consists of counseling on automatic rotary machine technology transfer, training on automatic rotary machine operation, practice of making pottery with an automatic rotary machine, and activity evaluation. The target partners in this activity are mothers who are pottery craftsmen who live in Banyumulek Village, West Lombok Regency. The results of the mentoring activities showed that the information on the transfer of automatic clay turning machine technology was attended by 15 participants who took part in the activity from start to finish. Furthermore, as a result of training on how to operate an automatic rotating machine, participants can use it well and support the business of making pottery which is produced every day. The automatic rotary machine used is not much different from previous rotary tools, except that this automatic rotary machine is powered by electricity so that craftsmen do not need to expend energy to rotate the tool and both hands focus on forming the pottery. So from the evaluation results there is an increase in knowledge by 80%, skills by 76%, and production volume by 75%. Keywords: clay; automatic turning machine; pottery.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengolahan HHBK memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar KHDTK UMMAT yang berlokasi di Desa Batu Layar Barat. Namun, keterbatasan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat lokal membuat potensi itu belum maksimal dimanfaatkan. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan HHBK melalui pelatihan pengolahan HHBK. Pelatihan ini mencakup mulai dari pengenalan terhadap jenis-jenis HHBK yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi, teknik pengolahan yang tepat, serta strategi pemasaran produk olahan. Dari program ini, keterampilan pengolahan masyarakat meningkat signifikan, demikian juga pemahaman mereka tentang peluang pasar dan kemampuan untuk menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan karakteristik permintaan pasar. Selain itu, program ini juga berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sumber daya alam. Kata kunci: keterampilan; HHBK; pengolahan; masyarakat local; KHDTK UMMAT Abstract The Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) or HHBK processing activity has great potential to improve the economy of the community around the UMMAT KHDTK located in Batu Layar Barat Village. However, the limited skills and knowledge of the local community make this potential not maximally utilized. Therefore, this program aims to improve community skills in NTFP processing through NTFP processing training. This training includes an introduction to the types of NTFPs that have high economic value, proper processing techniques, and marketing strategies for processed products. From this program, community processing skills have increased significantly, as well as their understanding of market opportunities and the ability to produce products that match the characteristics of market demand. Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan pemanfaatan plastik untuk keperluan rumah tangga berdampak pada banyaknya sampah plastik yang dihasilkan sehingga menjadi penyumbang limbah yang tidak hanya sulit terurai secara alami, tetapi juga dapat mencemari lingkungan secara signifikan Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk gerabah yang inovatif dengan memanfaatkan limbah plastik kresek, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam pemanfaatan limbah dan inovasi produk. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dari sosialisasi dan penyuluhan a, pelatihan aplikasi limbah plastik kresek pada gerabah serta tahap terakhir adalah evaluasi kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan memberikan kuisioner untuk diisi oleh mitra, yaitu ibu-ibu anggota kelompok Industri Rumah Tangga Muhajirin sebanyak 20 orang. Kegiatan ini berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan produktivitas melalui diversifikasi produk. Diversifikasi produk berbasis limbah kresek telah menciptakan nilai tambah pada produk gerabah. Pengrajin berhasil meningkatkan estetika dan daya jual gerabah melalui penggunaan bahan dekoratif limbah plastik, yang tidak hanya mengurangi limbah tetapi juga meningkatkan keterampilan pengrajin hingga 60%.Abstract: The increase in the use of plastic for household purposes has an impact on the amount of plastic waste produced so that it becomes a contributor to waste that is not only difficult to decompose naturally, but can also significantly pollute the environment This service activity aims to develop innovative pottery products by utilizing plastic waste, as well as increasing partners' knowledge and skills in waste utilization and product innovation. The implementation of activities starts from socialization and counseling, training in the application of plastic waste in pottery and the last stage is the evaluation of activities carried out by providing questionnaires to be filled in by partners namely 20 women members of the Muhajirin Household Industry group. This activity is based on community empowerment to increase productivity through product diversification. Product diversification based on crackle waste has created added value to pottery products. Craftsmen managed to improve the aesthetics and marketability of pottery through the use of plastic waste decorative materials, which not only reduced waste but also increased the skills of craftsmen by 60%.
