Abstract

Simple Drip Irrigation is automatic and cheap plant watering. Simple Drip Irrigation is a plant watering technique that uses a water reservoir or water reservoir can be a used bottle that is given a channel to drip the planting media little by little constantly, so that the planting media remains fulfilled its water needs, without becoming muddy and the water supply remains sufficient. This study aims to determine the water efficiency by using drip irrigation method on the growth of lettuce plants. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a Randomised Group Design (RAK) consisting of 3 treatments, namely 3 replications so as to obtain 12 experimental units, first P1 = 300ml water application, second P2 = 200ml water application, and P3 = 100ml water application and analysed using analysis of variance (Anova) at a real level of 5% and if there is a treatment that has a real effect then a test is carried out using the honest real difference test (BNJ) at a real level of 5%. The results of field research conducted by researchers that the provision of drip irrigation has no significant effect on the parameters of plant height, dry trimmed weight, stem diameter, soil texture but significantly different on wet trimmed weight and for the best treatment obtained in the P2 treatment which produces the highest wet trimmed weight of 93 grams.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical characteristics of agricultural waste decomposed with different bio-activator sources. The method used in the research is an experimental method using a one-factor Completely Randomised Design, namely the source of Bio-Activator with 4 (four) treatments, namely B0: Commercial EM 4, B1: PGPR bamboo, B2: MOL, B3: Coconut water.  Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that 12 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed included moisture content, biomass weight change, temperature and compost colour. The research was conducted in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah Mataram University. The data obtained were statistically analysed using Analysis of Variance at the 5% level. Treatment results that have a significant effect will be continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the temperature value, the final weight of compost and the percentage difference in compost weight were not significantly different in all treatments.

Abstract

One alternative energy source for making organic waste which can be renewed is pineapple waste and tofu waste. Biogas produced from these two materials is environmentally friendly so it does not disturb the environment. The purpose of this research was to determine the changes in temperature and pH that occurred during the formation of pressure and volume of biogas. The method used in this study was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD). There are 4 treatments in this study, namely T1: pineapple waste; T2 : tofu liquid waste; T3 : addition of tofu solid waste; and T4 : addition of tofu liquid waste and tofu solid waste. The measurement results were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If significantly different results were found, a further test was carried out with BNJ. The results showed that the addition of tofu waste significantly affected the temperature, pH, pressure and volume of bioga. The average temperature for each treatment was 28oC, while the highest pH was 8.55. The highest pressure calculation results were found at T4 of 109.42 N/m2, while for the highest volume it was found at T4 of 0.000016642m3. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the addition of tofu waste has a significant effect on the formation of biogas

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah hingga saat ini belum optimal padahal sampah dapat diolah menjadi barang bernilai ekonomis. Keterbatasan pengetahuan dan minimnya keterampilan menjadi kendala dalam pengolahan limbah. Maka dari itu perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan SDM dalam pengelolaan sampah organik maupun anorganik. Pemberdayaan masyarakat lingkar tambang dalam pengolahan limbah organic adalah prioritas utama untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang sehat, membuka lapangan pekerjaan, terciptanya produk unggulan desa ramah lingkungan di Desa Daha Kecamatan Hu’u. Pendekatan metode yang digunakan adalah melalui wawancara dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama masyarakat dan kelompok binaan PT STM. Pengolahan limbah organik dari aktivitas pertanian dan peternakan menjadi kompos berjalan dengan baik atas prakarsa yang dilakukan oleh kelompok binaan PT STM hingga saat ini. Namun pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga belum berjalan secara optimal dan bersifat temporal sehingga diperlukan integrasi dengan kelompok binaan PT STM untuk memperkuat jaringan kelompok karang taruna dalam mengelola sampah organic rumah tangga sebagai input tambahan dalam pembuatan kompos padat maupun cair. Hasil uji laboratorium kompos yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam kegiatan hydroseeding lahan reklamasi kawasan PT STM.

Abstract

Biomass energy is produced by converting solid raw materials into a more useful compressed form known as briquettes. This study aims to examine the effect of varying compositions of charcoal briquettes using a mixture of cocoa shells and rice husks on the briquette characteristics. The experimental method employs a Completely Randomized Design with four treatments: P1 = 100% cocoa shells, P2 = 75% cocoa shells + 25% rice husks, P3 = 25% cocoa shells + 75% rice husks, and P4 = 100% rice husks. The study finds that the lowest moisture content is in P3 (8.01%), the lowest ash content is in P3 and P4 (4.1% and 3.8%, respectively), the highest calorific value is in P1 (3,658 cal/g), the longest ignition time is in P3 (50 minutes), and the best hardness is in P2 (785.95 N). Based on the results, the best treatment is P3, which achieves a moisture content of 8.01%, ash content of 4.1%, and the longest burning time of 50 minutes.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengolahan HHBK memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar KHDTK UMMAT yang berlokasi di Desa Batu Layar Barat. Namun, keterbatasan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat lokal membuat potensi itu belum maksimal dimanfaatkan. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan HHBK melalui pelatihan pengolahan HHBK. Pelatihan ini mencakup mulai dari pengenalan terhadap jenis-jenis HHBK yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi, teknik pengolahan yang tepat, serta strategi pemasaran produk olahan. Dari program ini, keterampilan pengolahan masyarakat meningkat signifikan, demikian juga pemahaman mereka tentang peluang pasar dan kemampuan untuk menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan karakteristik permintaan pasar. Selain itu, program ini juga berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sumber daya alam. Kata kunci: keterampilan; HHBK; pengolahan; masyarakat local; KHDTK UMMAT Abstract The Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) or HHBK processing activity has great potential to improve the economy of the community around the UMMAT KHDTK located in Batu Layar Barat Village. However, the limited skills and knowledge of the local community make this potential not maximally utilized. Therefore, this program aims to improve community skills in NTFP processing through NTFP processing training. This training includes an introduction to the types of NTFPs that have high economic value, proper processing techniques, and marketing strategies for processed products. From this program, community processing skills have increased significantly, as well as their understanding of market opportunities and the ability to produce products that match the characteristics of market demand. Abstract

Abstrak Kelompok ternak milenial sukses bersama saat ini menghadapi permasalahan terkait pemasaran usaha yang masih dilakukan secara konvensional, sehingga jangkauan pasar hanya berskala lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pemasaran usaha kelompok ternak milenial sukses bersama  berbasis media sosial marketplace facebook, instagram, dan e-commerce shopee, sehingga pemasaran usaha dapat dilakukan secara online dan memperluas jangkauan pasar. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan melibatkan kelompok ternak milenial sukses bersama secara aktif, kelompok ini diketua oleh Multazam yang beralamat di Dusun Dasan Lauk, Desa Arjangka, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 orang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi terkait strategi pemasaran, pelatihan dan penerapan teknologi dalam pemasaran secara online, pendampingan pemasaran usaha dengan memanfaatkan media sosial dan e-commerce, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Inovasi yang diterapkan mencakup penggunaan platform marketplace facebook, instagram, dan shopee untuk pemasaran sapi dan pakan fermentasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok ternak milenial sukses bersama terkait pemasaran berbasis digital, dimana pengetahuan meningkat sebesar 85% dan keterampilan meningkat sebesar 80%. Kata kunci: peningkatan kapasitas; pemasaran usaha; pemasaran digital; kelompok ternak. Abstract The milenial sukses bersama livestock group is currently facing challenges related to conventional business marketing, which limits market reach to the local scale. This community service activity aims to develop the group’s business marketing through social media platforms such as marketplace facebook, instagram, and the e-commerce platform shopee, enabling online marketing and expanding market reach. The program was carried out with the active involvement of the group, chaired by Multazam and located in Dusun Dasan Lauk, Arjangka Village, Central Lombok Regency, with a total of 20 participants. The implementation methods included socialization on marketing strategies, training and application of online marketing technology, business marketing assistance using social media and e-commerce, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The innovations applied involved the use of marketplace facebook, instagram, and shopee to market cattle and fermented feed products. The results showed an increase in the group’s knowledge and skills in digital-based marketing, with knowledge increasing by 85% and skills by 80%. Keywords: capacity building; business marketing; digital marketing; livestock group.

Abstract

Mineral soil has a high bulk density and is a limiting factor as a nursery medium. For the application of nursery media, planting media that is light, large water holding capacity are also needed. The magot compost comes from the Magot Lingsar unit the Regional TPA of NTB Province and the soil contains pumice an average of 68.2% comes from Tanak Beak Village, Central Lombok Regency, which has potential as a medium for nurseries. The purpose of this study was to identify the Bulk Density and water holding capacity of magot compost and soil containing pumice with the control variable of mineral soil from Labuapi, West Lombok Regency. Bulk density analysis method by analyzing dry weight per unit volume on soil rings and water capacity by analyzing wet weight minus dry weight. The subjects studied were magot compost with size < 2 mm, soil containing pumice size < 2 mm and control soil mineral rice fields. The results showed that the lowest Bulk Density was magot compost 0.42 gr/cm3, soil containing soil 0,64 gr/cm3, and rice field soil 1.42 gr/cm3, this was because magot compost was residue from waste. While the largest water holding capacity was soil containing pumice of 42.67%, magot compost 22.00%, and paddy soil 6.33%, caused by the number of macro and micro pores in pumice, whereas in magot compost water is bound to the humus surface. Suggestions for further research are the permanent wilting point time test on plant seeds.

Abstract

One alternative energy that can be used as a substitute for fuel oil and gas is biomass energy such as briquettes. This study aims to determine the amount of heat, moisture content and ash content of briquettes made using hazelnut shells and glutinous rice adhesives that vary in adhesive concentration and particle size. This study used a complete randomised design (CRD) with variations in glutinous rice concentration of 20%, 30%, and 40% while the particle sizes used were 12 mesh and 24 mesh. The results showed that the adhesive concentration did not significantly affect the test parameters while the particle size affected the moisture content, ash content and calorific value of the briquettes. The highest calorific value was obtained by using 24 mesh particle size with 20% adhesive concentration with a calorific value of 5321 cal/g while the 12 mesh particle size produced the highest calorific value of 4704 cal/g at 20% adhesive concentration. The lowest moisture content value was obtained by using 24 mesh particle size with 20% adhesive concentration with a moisture content value of 6.9% while the 12 mesh particle size produced the lowest moisture content value at 20% adhesive concentration with a value of 7.4%. The lowest ash content value was obtained by using 24 mesh particle size with 30% adhesive concentration with an ash content value of 4.99% while the 12 mesh particle size produced an ash content value of 5.82%. The use of 12 mesh particle size is not in accordance with SNI standards because the heating value produced is still below 5000 cal/gr while the use of 24 mesh particle size is in accordance with SNI standards for all test parameters.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka memperingati Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia tahun 2025 dengan tema Environmental Sustainability in Mining Industry. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran para pemangku kepentingan termasuk karyawan industri pertambangan, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat sekitar mengenai praktik keberlanjutan lingkungan di sektor pertambangan. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui sharing knowledge yang meliputi seminar interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan studi kasus berbasis pengalaman nyata di lapangan. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep green mining, pengelolaan limbah tambang yang ramah lingkungan, serta strategi rehabilitasi lahan pascatambang. Dampak kegiatan terlihat pada meningkatnya komitmen peserta dalam menerapkan prinsip keberlanjutan di lingkungan kerja maupun komunitas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model kolaborasi antara akademisi, industri, dan masyarakat dalam mendorong praktik pertambangan yang lebih berkelanjutan.
