Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide student assistance in submitting and publishing articles in online journals and induction of the Mendeley application. The dedication method uses the Active Participant Participation (PRA) model. Submitting articles in scientific journals generally uses 5 steps to submit (according to the rules of the intended journal and depending on the OJS application used in the journal). After logging in to scientific journals (journals using OJS 2): Click new submission (1), Submit a draft article (Uploading the submission) (2), Fill in the metadata for each Author (Enter Metadata Submission) (3), Upload Supplementary Files namely uploading data related to the contents of the article for revision, generally there are separate instructions from the journal editor (4). Confirming Submission, The inside is the final step and saving your article file can be submitted. Organizing mentoring for submitting articles in online journals, induction of Mendeley applications, and providing expertise that makes it easier for students to write scientific articlesKata Kunci: Jurnal online; Artikel Ilmiah; Aplikasi mendeley

Abstract

Bali cattle family is one of four native Indonesian cattle breeds that play an important role as a domestic source of meat.  Bali cattle have a major problem in their development such as low quality breeds due to inbreeding (internal crossbreeding) or maintenance management. One of the efforts to improve genetic quality and increase cattle productivity sustainably is through Performance testing. The aim of this research was to determine the phenotypic performance of male Bali cattle on community farms in Banggai Regency. The research used 100 male Bali cattle aged 2-3 years. This research used a field experimental method through observing and measuring livestock. The data was analyzed descriptively, describing the facts at the research location. The result show that body hair color of male Bali cattle consisted of brown, dark brown, blackish brown and black. The boundaries of the body color pattern on the legs and buttocks mirror were clearly visible, without any changes or deviations. Body weight of Bali cattle was 204.56 ± 14.32 kg. Body weight was strongly correlated with chest circumference, body length and height

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Pandan Leaf Flour (Pandanus amaryllifolius) on Carcass Weight and Carcass Parts of Female Quail. This study was conducted from September to December 2023 at the Animal Husbandry Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Gorontalo State University. The study used 200 female quail. The cage used a battery model of 15 plots with a size of 50 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm. The feed given consisted of BR-21 quail feed and pandan leaf flour. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment of pandan leaf flour in the feed was 0%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10%, respectively. The parameters measured included carcass weight and carcass part weight. The results showed that giving pandan leaf flour up to 10% did not have a significant effect on carcass weight and carcass parts of female quail. Keywords: Quail; body weight; carcass; non carcass

Abstract

The role of farmer groups are very strategic in increasing the number of Bali cattle. The existence of the group has been able to increase the number of livestock. The aim of this research is to determine the phenotypic purity of Bali Cattle raised in Kabila Bone District based on Indonesia National Standards (SNI). This research was carried out in several livestock groups in Kabilabone District, Bonebolango, ± 5 months, namely in July-November 2023. Method used were visual observations and body measurements. Descriptive analysis for external phenotypic appearance and quantitative. The skin color of female Bali cattle in Molotabu and Biluango Villages experienced a shift or bias from the SNI standard of 1.67-2.85 respectively, where the body skin color was dark brown to black, while other cattle have normal colors such as brick red, brown, light brown and fawn according to SNI standards. The white color pattern on the buttocks/rump mirror (CB) is a characteristic of male and female Bali cattle. The white color is circular in shape following the shape of the rear buttocks of the Bali cattle. CB circle boundaries in Bali cattle are clearly visible. The frequency of CB color boundary phenotypes in female Bali cattle is the frequency of CB with clear boundaries was 33.33-76.67%, while those with unclear boundaries was 23.33-66.67%. The highest body weight of female Bali cattle was 262.87 while the lowest was 162.0, and the standard deviation value for body weight was ±26.10. Female Bali cattle raised traditionally do not comply with SNI standards

Abstract

Abstract

The study is aimed to investigate Hatchability of eggs, and Viability of Day Old Chick (DOC), the result of  hybridization between  native chicken and broiler  chicken. The chickens consist of 3 male native chickens and 30 female broiler chickens.  The Hybridization is conducted through artificial insemination. The observed variables are fertility, Hatchability and Viability of Day Old Chick, The data  that have been collected are analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean, deviation standard, and coefficient of variation. Findings reveal that the mean score of fertility is 78,95%, hatchability of egg is 56,97%, and the viability is 90,85%. Based on result and discussion, it can be concluded that the fertility, hatchability and viabilityof Day Old Chick (DOC)  are higher than native chickens. Keywords:Hatchability, and Viability  of DOC, Hybridization
