Abstract

This research aims to find out the appearance of free-range chicken fed with the addition og cocoa skin flour (Theobroma cacao L.)fermented in feeds.the design used is a Completely Randomixed Design with four treatmens and four tepetitions. The parameters observed and measured are the amount of feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The data analysis used is the analysis of variance. The findings show that addition of famented cocoa skin flour in level 0%, 5%, 10% do  not significantly b influence (P0.05) on the feed consumption,body weight gain and the value of feed conversion in free-range chicken. The conlusion is the additional level of fermented cocoa skin flour to the level of 15% does not influence the appearance of free-range chicken

Abstract

The aim was to determine the heritability of egg weight, hatch weight, age of a week body weight in crossbred chickens. This research was conducted from August-November 2017, in Tumbihe Village, Kabila District, Bone Bolango District, Gorontalo province. The research material was eggs and DOC originating from a cross between male Kampung chicken and female Leghorn chicken, Isa Brown strain, these eggs were weighed and hatched in a hatchery machine. The parameters measured were egg weight heritability, hatch weight, 1 week body weight in crossbred chickens. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results of this study are the heritability of egg weight in the population is 0.533 ± 0.03 and the variance coefficient is 6.16%. The heritability of hatch weight in the population is 0.532 ± 0.02 and the variance coefficient is 4.33%. While the heritability value of 1 week age weight in the population is 0.530 ± 0.02 and the variance coefficient is 3.26%.

Abstract

Supervision of the conservation of bat animals in ensuring the preservation of bat animals and economic stability for the beneficiary groups. The purpose of the service is to implement independent supervision of bat conservation. Conservation monitoring activities are carried out in the Bat Conservation area in Olibu Village, Paguyaman Pantai District, Boalemo Regency. The target group is the Bat Utilization Group and the community. Service activities are focused on increasing group and community understanding of supervisory understanding (1). Designing an independent conservation monitoring model focused on monitoring the fishing process and monitoring conservation areas (2). Monitoring line (3). The initial assessment illustrates that the group's understanding of the importance of supervision is still low at 9.95% before receiving material delivery. The final assessment illustrates that there is an increased understanding of knowledge about the self-monitoring model that will be applied in conservation areas by 82.93%. Supervision activities on the management of bat animal capture are comprehensive supervision, starting from the time the catching is carried out until the bats are marketed. Supervision during capture is needed in order to stabilize the protection and survival of captured bats, especially for animals that are not fit to be caught and traded. Supervision of Conservation Areas is the right step to take in preserving bat animals and economic stability for groups using bats, in addition to existing conservation areas, they can develop into tourist areas. There are 2 bat control lines and a conservation area, namely land and sea routes. The monitoring model for bat conservation independently can be realized by involving groups of users, the village community as the object of supervision over the activities of monitoring the capture management process and supervision of conservation areas, while the Olibu village government as a supervisory control through implementation.

Abstract

Implementasi konservasi kelelawar berdampak positif terhadap perkembangbiakan satwa ini dan sosial ekonomi bagi Masyrakat. Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada Kelompok Masyarakat Pemanfaat Kelelawar tentang penerapan konservasi kelelawar berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan melalui Penetapan wilayah konservasi in-situ, pembinaan Kelompok Pemanfaat Kelelawar melalui Model PRA, dan pengawasan wilayah konsevasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Olibu, Kabupaten Boalemo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Kelompok sasaran adalah Kelompok Pemanfaat Kelelawar yang berada di desa Olibuu, terdiri atas: Kelompok Accerodon, dan Alecto. Implementasi konservasi kelelawar didesa Olibu telah ditetapakan kawasan hutan manggorve sebagai kawasan konservasi In-situ bagi satwa kelelawar. Pengawasan wilayah konservasi dilakukan secara terpadu bersama masyarakat. Pembinaan kelompok memberi dampak terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan bagi Kelompok Pemanfaat Kelelawar. Tercapainya kesepakatan antara kelompok, Pemerintah Desa, Pemerintah Kecamatan, Perwakilan Masyarakat, dan Universitas Negeri Gorontalo tentang inplementasi konservasi kelelawar di Desa Olibu: Larangan penebangan hutan Mangrove 1), Larangan menggunakan senjata api atau sejenisnya untuk berburu kelelawar 2), Frekuensi menangkap kelelawar di lokasi in-situ di kurangi (2 kali dalam seminggu), dengan cara menggunakan Mist Net, dan dilakukan pada pukul 03.00 am - 05.00 am 3), sortasi kelelawar, dengan kriteria: kelelawar yang berukuran kecil, bunting dan menyusui anak, dilepaskan kehabitatnya 4)

Abstract

Pengelolaan konservasi kelelawar di wilayah In-situ dilakukan sebagai upaya penyelarasaan antara nilai ekonomi dan nilai konservasi kelelawar pada masa pandemic Covid 19, sehingga memberi harapan baru perbaikan ekonomi bagi kelompok pemanfaat kelelawar dan keberlanjutan konservasi. Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk menerapankan tatakelola konservasi kelelawar di wilayah In-situ dimasa Pandemi COVID-19. Pendekatan pengelolan melalui model PRA (Participatory Research Appraisal). Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan pengelolaan konservasi kelelawar. I, dilakukan di awal pandemic di Indonesia terutama untuk kegiatan penangkapan sampai pemasaran satwa Kelelawar. Perubahan tatakelola II dilakukan pada pertengahan tahun 2020, karena adanya perubahan dinamika anggota kelompok sebagai akibat Kebutuhan ekonomi, Harga kelelawar dan jumlah permintaan kelelawar yang meningkat. Perubahan tatakelola konservasi kelelawar selama masa pandemic Covid 19 meningkatkan kesadaran tentang Covid 19, meningkatkan indeks kelimpahan dan meningkatkan pendapatan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val.) dalam ransum terhadap persentase karkas ayam kampung super. Penelitian ini menggunakan 80 ekor ayam kampung super yang ditempatkan pada 20 unit kandang dengan masing-masing kandang diisi 4ekor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan pada penelitian ini yaitu A0( tanpa tepung kunyit atau kontrol), A1 (tepung kunyit 2%), A2 (tepung kunyit 4%), dan A3 (tepung kunyit 6%). Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot hidup, bobot karkas, dan persentase karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian tepung kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val) tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot hidup, bobot karkas, dan persentase karkas ayam kampung super. Pemberian tepung kunyit sampai level 6% dapat di gunakan dalam ransum, namun  tidak mempengaruhi bobot hidup, bobot karkas, dan persentase karkas.

Abstract

Fish innards are waste from fish smoking areas and fish shelters that can be used as alternative feed ingredients in quail rations. This study aims to analyze the effect of feeding skipjack viscera in the ration to the appearance of quail in the grower phase. The research material used 160 quails aged 2 weeks. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 trials and 4 replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (12% without skipjack viscera meal), P1 (3% skipjack viscera meal). P2 (6% of skipjack offal flour). P3 (9% skipjack offal flour). P4 (12% skipjack offal flour). Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) it showed that the provision of steamed skipjack innards flour did not have a significant effect (P0.05) on egg production, ration consumption, ration conversion, shell thickness and index of width and length of quail eggs, but had a very significant effect. significantly (P0.05) on egg weight. Abstract

The Etawa Crossbreed (PE) goat is a cross between an Etawa goat and a peanut goat which has the potential to produce milk. This study aims to determine the fat and protein content of Etawa goat's milk. The type of research used is experimental research with the treatment of taking milk in the morning. This study uses a T test with 3 treatments and 3 replications and the data from the calculation of the Analysis of Variance if it shows a significant difference then is further tested with the BNT and BNJ tests of 5%. Parameters in this study were fat and protein content. The results showed that the fat content of Etawa goat's milk was not significantly different. In the results of statistical analysis, it can be seen that the highest average fat content is at parity 3, which is 7.92%, from parity 2, which is 7.46% and parity 1, which is 6.03%. In the protein content of the highest average, the protein content in parity 2 is 5.46% compared to parity 3 which is 5.03% and parity 1 which is 5.0%. The conclusion is that Etawa goat's milk will have an effect on fat and protein levels, this can be seen at parity 3.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this service is to provide knowledge and competence for the Bat Utilization Group in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer made from bat guano. This activity has been carried out in Olibu Village, Gorontalo Province. The implementation method is through PRA and field practice. The partner group is the Bat Utilization Group. The application of knowledge and competence on the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer resulted in an increase in group knowledge and competence. As many as 78.95% of group members do not know the benefits of guano or dried bat droppings, while as many as 21.05% of members know information from other people, but have never done it. At the end of the activity, a final test was conducted on the group and all members. There was an increase in the knowledge and skills of group members in making POC by 63.16%. Application of POC Making helps Bat Utilization Groups to improve their knowledge and skills. Abstract

High egg production is not only determined by animal feed and drinking, but the cage is also an important factor, because cages that do not meet the requirements will have an impact on livestock, farmers and the community. Community service activities aim to increase knowledge and skills for employees and cage workers at Bintang RS. Pulubala about good cage management for laying hens. In efficient cage construction and layout at Bintang RS. Pulubala can cause a decrease in egg production and the health of chickens. The layout, construction of cages and equipment of existing cages at Bintang RS. Pulubala has not met the requirements for non efficient and productive laying hens. So that egg production and the health of chickens have not been maximized.
