Abstract

The incidenceo of asphyxia infants is caused by the habit of the mother during pregnancy which consumes herbal medicine including consisting of saffron colored rice , chili paper, sour turmeric, curcuma, sinom, and various other turmeric mixtures. As a result , many pregnant women experience complication during labor includimg turbid membranes, retained placenta, placenta accreta. The aim is to determine the effect of a history of herbal consumption habits with the incidence of asphyxia in post partum mothers. The literatur is sourced from the Google Scholar, Cendekia, and Pubmed Central database publised from 2010 to 2019, and manually selects articles relevant to the research question. The result of the study mentioned that all journals stated that there was an influence on the history of herbal consumption habits with the incidence of asphyxia infants. It can be concluded that the use of herbal medicine in pregnant women can lead to asphyxia in infants. Therefore, the use of traditional medicines that are often consumed as herbal medicine for pregnant women has an oxytocie effect, that affecting the safety of the fetus in the womb

Abstract

The concept of evidence-based states that the use of folic acid during pre and perikonsepsi reduce the risk of brain damage, neural disorders, spina bifida, and anencepalus on the fetus. Folic acid is also useful to help the production of red blood cells, DNA synthesis in fetal and placental growth. The scope of midwifery care for pregnant women included in the standard midwife-3 is one of competency assess nutritional status of pregnant women and its relation to fetal growth. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of midwives and practice of folic acid supplementation for pregnant mothers. This study used an analytic observational method with cross sectional, and samples were taken by quota sampling. Subjects were 42 private practice midwives who work area measuring Surakarta. Used in the form of questionnaires and medical records. Data were analyzed using Fisher’s statistical test (α = 0.05). The results of the 42 respondents indicated that most respondents have a level of knowledge about folic acid is enough for 21 respondents (50%), while folic acid supplementation in practice, most respondents did fine that is equal to 26 respondents (61.90%) . Statistical analysis showed the significant value of 0.483 (p> 0.05). The conclusion of this research is that there is no relationship between knowledge and practice of folic acid supplementation, in the sense of high and low knowledge of a midwife does not affect the practice of folic acid supplementation to pregnant mothers.

Abstract

Growth and development are processes that occur in living things. Growth is said to increase in physical size, due to the multiplication of cells and the increasing number of substances between cells. Growth and development concern all aspects of progress achieved from the womb to adulthood (Irianton Aritonang, 1996). Based on an initial survey with interview techniques for 10 respondents conducted at the Posyandu Kalimati in January 2020 showed that there are still many toddlers with poor nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to Analyze the Relationship of the Role of Parents to the Growth of Preschool Children in Kalimati Village, Tarik Sidoarjo District in 2020. The design of this study included a cross sectional analytic study with a survey approach. The population in this study were all parents and toddlers in the Kalimantan village of Tarik Sidoarjo in 2020, amounting to 30 respondents.

Abstract

The majority of pregnant women experiencing nausea vomiting in early pregnancy. Nausea vomiting in early pregnancy is something that reasonable experienced by all pregnant women during intensitasnya is not excessive. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the giving of the consumption of pisang ambon (Musa Paradisiaca. L) towards a decrease in the intensity of nausea and vomiting I Trimester of pregnant women at work-area Clinics Sukorame Kediri Year 2017. The research design was used pre-launch experiment with one group pre-post test design. The population in this research is all over I trimester of pregnant women at Clinics Sukorame Kediri who experienced nausea vomiting with a sample of 19 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research design was used pre-launch experiment with one group pre-post test design. Abstract

The teenagers on menstruation period, sometimes experience the dysmenorrhea pain. Which is medical condition that happened along with menstruation period, and it can disturb the activity, the treatment was needed when the area of stomach or pelvis was so much in pain. The objective of this research is looking for the influence of dark chocolate candy to primary dysmenorrhea pain at adolescent, especially on teenage girl. The design of this research was pre- experimental design that use one group pretest-posttest design with paired T-test analysis. The population of teenage girl was 36, and as many as 26 used as the sampling with the sampling technique using in this research was Random sampling. The technique of data collection was used sheet observation method.

Abstract

Menurut WHO (World Health Organization) Stunting merupakan salah satu bentuk gizi kurang yang ditandai dengan kurangnya tinggi badan menurut indikator umur (TB/U) sesuai usianya yang diukur berdasarkan Standar deviasi dengan referensi. Stunting menyebabkan perkembangan otak suboptimal sehingga mengakibatkan terhambatnya perkembangan motorik dan kognitif, bahkan dapat meningkatkan resiko terhadap kesakitan dan kematian. Namun faktanya kasus stunting (pertumbuhan pendek) masih tinggi dan merupakan masalah utama di berbagai daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh asupan prelakteal dan riwayat penyakit infeksi terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak usia 1-3 tahun. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain Case control study dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Sebagian ibu yang memiliki anak usia 1-3 Tahun Di Puskesmas Tangeban Kabupaten Banggai bulan Juli-Agustus 2021 yaitu sebanyak 30 responden, metode pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar observasi.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia in adolescent girls often occurs due to iron deficiency, which can affect health and daily activities, including academic performance. Therefore, education on the importance of balanced nutrition and iron tablet consumption is carried out through interactive, engaging, and easily understandable animation media. Objective: This community service activity aims to empower female islamic boarding school students at Nurul Jadid Junior High School, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency, in preventing anemia through the administration of iron tablets and the application of balanced nutrition. Method: The activity began with a counseling session about the symptoms of anemia, its impact on the body, and how to prevent it through a healthy diet and the consumption of iron tablets. The counseling was delivered using animation media, followed by a discussion session to deepen participants' understanding and hemoglobin level testing. In addition, the female islamic boarding school students were provided with iron tablets periodically as a direct form of support for preventing anemia. Result: The results of this activity showed an increase in the female islamic boarding school students understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and iron tablet consumption. Participants gained a better understanding of how to avoid anemia and how to maintain good health with the right diet. The use of animation media proved to be effective in delivering information in a fun and easily comprehensible way for adolescent girls. Conclusion: This activity have a positive impact on the health of the female islamic boarding school students and serve as a model for other community service initiatives in efforts to prevent anemia in adolescents.

Abstract

More than 50% of newborns experience hyperbilirubinemia, both in full-term and premature babies. Jaundice is one of the contributors to infant morbidity in Indonesia with several causative factors that often occur, including gestational age and low birth weight (LBW). The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between infant birth weight and gestational age with the incidence of neonatal jaundice at Kuala Pembuang Regional Hospital . Research This use method study descriptive with approach cross sectional, sample study as many as 44 respondents, used Total sampling technique, Research instrument using Record data medical. Data analysis in the test use test statistics chi-square. Chi square test results on variable heavy body born to jaundice neonatum obtained results p-value of 0.0000 > α = 0.05 and variable age pregnancy to jaundice neonatorum obtained results p-value of 0.0001 > α = 0.05 so that can concluded that there is connection heavy body born low And age pregnancy to incident jaundice neonatorum in the room Remember Kuala Pembuang Regional Hospital. Part of it big Respondent No experience jaundice neonatorum as many as 33 (75%). Some big Respondent experience heavy body normal birth (BBLN) as many as 31 (70.5%). Most of them big Respondent as many as 33 (75%) with age pregnancy aterm.

Abstract

Employment in mothers is a dominant barrier in breastfeeding practices, so breastfeeding support for working mothers is needed to promote the number of exclusive breastfeeding. Mention the urgency of the study. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the breastfeeding counseling guide for working mothers on breastfeeding practices until 6 months. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design to pregnant working mothers in Kota Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background : Giving birth naturally is every pregnant mother hope, some cases required minimal medical intervention. Method : Pre-experimental research design with 2 treatment groups. The population all 1st stage labor mothers in Panggungrejo Health Center is 30 people. Result : The length of 1st stage labor oblique position without peanut ball was almost all respondents, namely 12 (80%) in the normal category. Analysis : There is difference the length labor in the 1st stage labor in side position with and without the use of peanut balls in Panggungrejo Health Center, Blitar Regency.  Conclution : Using peanut ball by adjusting the mother's position during labor can reduce pain, strengthen uterine contractions and allow normal fetal descent to speed up the length of the first stage of labor.
