Abstract

Online learning started with the emergence of Internet technology and has been increasingly used during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has raised many problems, such as limitations in presenting material (monotonous and uninteresting), building activeness, and difficulty creating interaction between lecturers and students and between students. Moreover, online learning is more stressful than regular classroom sessions because students have to study alone. The absence of clearly structured learning steps makes it difficult for them to focus. Therefore, this research aims to develop an independent online learning module based on ubiquitous classrooms with a structured and systematic flow called Introduce, Connect, Apply, Reflect, and Extend (ICARE). Furthermore, it determines the eligibility of the module using an ADDIE design for education, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. All stages resulted in an eligible online module with an u-learning class ICARE flow in the Learning Media course.

Abstract

The development of e-learning textbooks of learning assessment with items analysis material is based on the fact that there is still a lack of lecturers in developing textbooks that are implemented in virtual learning. This causes students to become less interested in learning, causing a decrease in student learning outcomes. The development of textbooks with e-learning aims to fulfill textbooks that can be accessed through Vinesa so that students can access the textbooks anytime and anywhere, so it is expected that the competence of student learning outcomes can increase. The analysis uses quantitative descriptive techniques. The target of this study was 90 students. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Development research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The feasibility results of e-learning textbook development for Learning Assessment are declared feasible by a) the results of material validation were very feasible (91%), b) the results of learning material validation were very feasible (90%) c) the results of learning media validation were very feasible (94%) d) the results of language validation were very feasible (90%), e) the results of individual trials were very feasible (80%), f) the results of small group trials were very feasible (83%). This study concludes that the development of e-learning textbooks for Learning Assessment with items analysis material was very feasible to be used to improve student competence and deserves to be used as the availability of learning resources that are limited in time and place.

Abstract

The development of e-books specifically for Statistics courses, particularly regarding classical assumption tests, remains limited. This condition negatively impacts students' learning interest, ultimately affecting their academic performance. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a Learning Management System (LMS)-based e-book on classical assumption tests to provide students with flexible access through the VineSA platform. The research employs a development method using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects include material experts, media experts, instructional design experts, language experts, and 90 students. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The validation results indicate that the LMS-based e-book on classical assumption tests is highly feasible for use, with the following scores: material validation at 91% (highly feasible), media validation at 90% (highly feasible), instructional design validation at 94% (highly feasible), language validation at 90% (highly feasible), individual trials at 80% (highly feasible), and small group trials at 83% (highly feasible). The study concludes that the LMS-based e-book is feasible to be used as teaching material and can improve students' academic performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi genetika telah memberikan dampak besar terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk bidang pendidikan dan kesehatan. Namun, rendahnya tingkat literasi genetik di kalangan guru menyebabkan keterbatasan dalam penyampaian konsep genetika secara tepat kepada siswa dan masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA di SMPN 1 Bareng, Kabupaten Jombang, melalui edukasi dan penyuluhan kolaboratif berbasis literasi genetik. Metode kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk seminar, diskusi kelompok, serta pembagian booklet “Literasi Genetik untuk Masyarakat”. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada nilai rata-rata peserta dari 74% menjadi 94%. Selain itu, 95% peserta menyatakan kegiatan sangat bermanfaat untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kolaboratif antara akademisi dan MGMP efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi genetik guru sekaligus mendukung integrasi konsep genetika dalam kurikulum sains sekolah menengah.

Abstract

Technology-based learning is one of the important needs to support the development of students' creativity skills in facing the demands of 21st-century learning, especially in programming subjects. However, C++ learning in class X SMK Sejahtera Surabaya is still dominated by conventional methods so that students' creativity in exploring ideas, solving problems, and developing programming projects is not optimal, and the utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS) does not support project-based learning optimally. This study aims to develop a Moodle-based LMS using a feasible and effective Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve students' creativity skills in C++ material. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes learning needs analysis, LMS and learning tool design, product development and validation, implementation in class X TKJ students of SMK Sejahtera Surabaya, and evaluation of product feasibility and effectiveness. The results showed media validation of 80%, learning tools 88%, materials 87%, and questions 86%. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 81.6, higher than the control class's score of 69.8, with the Mann–Whitney U test obtaining a significance value of 0.002 (p< 0.05). This finding implies that a Moodle-based LMS integrated with PjBL can be an alternative learning medium that supports increasing student creativity in C++ programming learning.

Abstract

Twenty-first-century learning requires students to develop critical thinking skills to solve programming problems. Observations conducted in Grade X of the Software Engineering program at SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya revealed that Structured Programming instruction remains teacher-centered and is not supported by interactive learning media. This study aimed to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based Learning Management System (LMS) in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The research involved an experimental class and a control class using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Data were collected through expert validation, black-box testing, observation, documentation, and pretest-posttest assessments, and analyzed using feasibility percentages and the Mann-Whitney U test The results showed that the developed LMS was feasible for classroom use, with expert validation scores of 90.47% for software engineering, 90.00% for learning materials, 91.25% for learning assessment, and 81.00% for instructional design. Black-box testing confirmed that all system features functioned properly. Furthermore, the PBL-based LMS improved students' critical thinking skills, as indicated by the higher mean posttest score of the experimental class (85.88) compared with the control class (75.69) (p < 0.001). These findings imply that the developed PBL-based LMS can serve as an alternative digital learning medium for Structured Programming and provide teachers with a practical reference for designing student-centered learning that supports the development of students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Revolusi Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) menuntut pendidik vokasi mentransformasi evaluasi hasil belajar dari tingkat rendah ke instrumen berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru SMKN 10 Surabaya dalam merancang instrumen penilaian HOTS yang selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka menggunakan platform Kinantiku.com. Mitra menghadapi tantangan tingginya beban administratif harian dan keterbatasan waktu merekayasa butir soal tingkat menganalisis (C4), mengevaluasi (C5), dan mencipta (C6). Pelaksanaan PkM mencakup lima tahapan: analisis kebutuhan diagnostik, penyusunan modul prompt engineering, workshop intensif, pendampingan MBKM, dan evaluasi dampak. Hasil evaluasi terhadap 70 responden guru menunjukkan 95,7% peserta mengonfirmasi bahwa integrasi AI sangat membantu efisiensi waktu penyusunan Tes Kemampuan Akademik (TKA) dan bank soal HOTS. Selain itu, 98,6% responden memberikan penilaian tinggi terhadap kemudahan operasional platform. Program ini berkontribusi pada pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (xPendidikan Berkualitas), SDG 5 (Kesetaraan Gender), SDG 8 (Pekerjaan Layak dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi), dan SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan). Kemitraan terstruktur ini terbukti membangun ekosistem evaluasi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan efisien.

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of online learning in higher education requires innovative solutions that support independent, scalable, and standardized learning experiences. Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Learning Analytics (LA) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), offers opportunities to enhance digital learning through adaptive content delivery, personalized learning pathways, and automated formative feedback.Aims: This study aimed to develop and evaluate an AI-driven adaptive online digital module for Communication courses that supports personalized learning and standardized instruction across higher education institutions using Gemini.Methods: This study employed the ADDIE development model, comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Learning Analytics was used to monitor student engagement and learning progress, while NLP analyzed students' written responses to generate automated formative feedback. The module was validated by instructional design, subject matter, and media experts, followed by individual and small-group trials. Its effectiveness was evaluated using normalized gain (N-Gain) analysis.Results: Expert validation, individual trials, and small-group evaluations indicated that the developed module achieved a "very good" level of feasibility. The effectiveness evaluation produced a high N-Gain score (0.7), indicating a substantial improvement in student learning outcomes. The integration of Learning Analytics and NLP supported adaptive learning, timely feedback, and increased student engagement.Conclusion: The AI-driven adaptive digital module is feasible and effective for supporting online learning in Communication courses. Integrating Learning Analytics and Natural Language Processing enables personalized instruction and data-informed learning support, making the module a promising approach for improving learning quality in higher education.
