Abstract

This research aims to investigate the directive speech acts in students’ communication of elementary schools as a form of local wisdom in the educational setting of Kolaka Regency. The interractive model proposed by Miles and Huberman was employed to analyse the data which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and a conclusion. The findings show that there are two types of directive speech atc performed by elementary school students which are 1) the speech act of commanding, and 2) the speech act of begging.  Both forms of directive speech acts are affected by the cultural context which can be found in the form of clitics. The clitics are related to the local wisdom of the elementary students’ communication in Kolaka Regency in the forms, such as -ko, –mi  and -na,  as uttered in the form of lihatko, ayomi, pindahko, biarmi, siniko, jemputna

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of using Edmodo, as one of the online learning platforms, in the lecture process at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of the Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka (USN Kolaka). A sample of 124 students from a total of 1,606 FKIP students of USN Kolaka participated in this study by filling out questionnaires distributed online. Student responses were analyzed descriptively quantitatively to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of learning, in terms of two aspects (the level of student participation, and the attitude of students towards the implementation of lectures). The results of data analysis showed that online learning using Edmodo at FKIP USN Kolaka has been carried out effectively. The effectiveness of using Edmodo is due to its practicality (simple display, provides various features, and supports various file types), as well as the accessibility of its use (accessible even though the connection is unstable, and saves internet quota). The convenience provided by Edmodo platform is able to increase the average participation rate of students in online learning to reach 89.18%.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the implementation of politeness in the language of lecturers and students as well as students and students through online lectures at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka on the WhatsApp application. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative with a focus on research, namely the fulfillment and violations of the principles of politeness in the language contained in online lecture conversations on WhatsApp. The data collection technique uses documentation or screenshots, and the data analysis technique uses content analysis methods with inductive procedures. The results indicate that the communication of lecturers to students and students to students based on the WhatsApp social network still pays attention to the principles of linguistic politeness in communication discourse. Based on the WhatsApp social network, students and lecturers can meet the principles of linguistic politeness, including maxim of wisdom, generosity, appreciation, simplicity, compatibility, and sympathy. However, there were also still some violations of the principle of politeness.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya pemertahanan bahasa konjo di Desa Lana Kecamatan Wolo Kabupaten Kolaka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, subjek penelitian penduduk asli, usia lebih dari 17 tahun, Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri dan didukung dengan handphone dan alat tulis (buku dan  pulpen). Pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menujukkan bahwa upaya pemertahanan bahasa Konjo di Desa Lana terdiri atas tiga upaya, yaitu ranah keluarga, ketetanggaan, dan ranah kerja. Ranah keluarga merupakan bagian inti dalam proses pemertahanan bahasa. Pemertahanan bahasa Konjo yang dilakukan masyarakat dalam lingkup ketetanggaan masih terus dipegang teguh hingga saat ini. Ranah kerja merupakan loyalitas atau kesetiaan terhadap penggunaan bahasa Konjo yang dilakukan oleh penutur dan mitra tutur di Desa Lana. Kesimpulan penelitian bahasa Konjo dalam ranah keluarga merupakan bagian inti dalam proses pemertahanan bahasa di Desa Lana, Kedua, pemertahanan bahasa Konjo dalam ranah ketetanggaan atau lingkungan sosial adalah salah satu upaya yang dilakukan masyarakat Konjo dalam mempertahankan bahasanya. pemertahanan bahasa Konjo dalam ranah jual beli merupakan loyalitas atau kesetiaan terhadap penggunaan bahasa Konjo yang dilakukan oleh P1 dan P2 di Desa Lana.

Abstract

There were several language terms used by Instagram users for exacerbating the lexical units meaning, leading to reader negative impressions. This research was focused on Instagram social media data that can be accessed as friends and in general. This research was different from previous research because most focus on one Instagram account. This research has two main objectives. First, to find out the form of dysfemia in the Instagram comment column. Second, to find out the value of dysfemia contained in the comments. This research type was qualitative with the method of content analysis. For this purpose, data was collected from all forms of netizen interactions, including comments on words, phrases and expressions. Meanwhile, the source of the research data was the conversations of Instagram users. The research instrument used was the researcher himself and a number of supporting equipment including cell phones and stationery (books and pens) were also used. Data was collected through reading and recording techniques. Then the collected data was analyzed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the forms of dysphemia in the comments of Instagram users tend towards dyspnea in the form of words, phrases and expressions. Meanwhile, the value content of taste was scary, scary, disgusting, and strengthening. Future studies should compare dyspnea with euphemia.Keywords: Form, dyspnea, Instagram, netizen, sense value

Abstract

Moodle serves as a valuable platform for creating online courses, training, and internet-based education while supporting essential e-Learning content distribution standards, specifically referring to SCORM. This research pursues three primary objectives: (1) the development of Moodle-based e-Learning in SMPN 4 Kolaka Utara, (2) the development of a MOODLE-based e-Learning content package adhering to the SCORM standard, and (3) the comprehensive evaluation of the Moodle-based e-Learning development process. Adopting the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) approach, the outcome of this research is the establishment of an innovative E-learning platform, named mesikolah.com, accessible online via https://mesikolah.com/. These courses meet the stringent SCORM standardization criteria, including Accessibility, Adaptability, Affordability, Durability, Interoperability, and Reusability. Formative evaluation results demonstrate a strong alignment with the chosen research approach, ADDIE, while the summative evaluation reveals positive user feedback, with an impressive 80% satisfaction rate on the e-Learning platform. Although this research focuses on the e-Learning development stage and content package preparation, further investigations are warranted, such as classroom action research. Notably, the current content package predominantly comprises text and flash presentations, necessitating future development of diverse media types, such as video on demand or video streaming.

Abstract

Tinjauan literatur sistematis ini bertujuan memetakan perkembangan konsep literasi fisik periode 2010-2021 melalui analisis definisi, kerangka konseptual, dan alat ukur di berbagai negara. Menggunakan metode PRISMA, penelitian menganalisis 78 artikel dari database Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, dan ERIC. Hasil mengungkapkan tiga temuan utama: (1) variasi definisi dengan dominasi model holistik Whitehead (53%) dan model berbasis kompetensi Kanada (22%); (2) perbedaan kerangka kerja antarnegara dimana Kanada dan Inggris mendominasi pengembangan instrumen; serta (3) keterbatasan validasi lintas budaya pada 70% alat ukur. Simpulan menunjukkan perlunya konsensus inti yang memungkinkan adaptasi lokal, pengembangan instrumen lebih inklusif, dan penelitian di negara berkembang. Temuan ini memberikan dasar empiris untuk pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan jasmani berbasis literasi fisik yang kontekstual.

Abstract

Efisiensi pengelolaan laboratorium sekolah menjadi faktor  penting dalam mendukung kegiatan praktikum siswa, terutama di era digitalisasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru dalam pengembangan dan implementasi E-Laboratory Management System (E-LabMS) berbasis Google sites guna meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen laboratorium serta mempercepat digitalisasi sekolah. Proses pemberdayaan guru dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan. Pertama, dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan. Selanjutnya, guru diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan serta pengelolaan E-LabMS. Setelah pelatihan, sistem diimplementasikan di sekolah dengan tujuan. Tahap terakhir meliputi evaluasi dan monitoring. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan E-LabMS berbasis Google sites mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan laboratorium secara signifikan. Guru yang sebelumnya tidak memiliki pengalaman dalam pengelolaan sistem digital kini dapat mengelola laboratorium secara lebih terstruktur dan mandiri setelah mendapatkan pelatihan. Selain itu, sistem ini juga mempermudah akses informasi, pencatatan peminjaman alat, serta dokumentasi praktikum, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam aktivitas laboratorium. Dengan adanya sistem ini, pengelolaan laboratorium menjadi lebih modern dan efisien, mendukung percepatan digitalisasi di sekolah, serta meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi.

Abstract

Learning in higher education requires supplementary teaching materials to facilitate lecturers and students in the learning process. Supplemental teaching materials are used as a basis for completing one of the scientific writing courses so that learning objectives are achieved. This study aims to create a scientific writing book that impacts students' scientific writing skills. The research is a research and development type using the 4-D model. The prototype was validated by content, curriculum, learning design and language experts. The validated prototype was tested on small and large groups. The subjects of the small group trial were 10 students each, and the large group (24 students and 21 students). Data were taken using in-depth interviews with FGDs. Data were analyzed descriptively. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the book was declared very valid. Revisions were made to the material, cover design, conformity to the RPS, and sentence improvements. The trial in the small group obtained results with minor revisions to the technical aspects. The conclusion of this study shows that the scientific writing book developed is feasible to use and effective in improving students' scientific writing skills. This research has implications for developing contextual teaching materials based on student needs to support learning in higher education.
