Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the digital transformation of management information systems (MIS), particularly in the car sales sector. AI-based chatbots have now become an effective solution to address the need for real-time customer service, automate user interactions, and assist in the sales process. Chatbots utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand and handle consumer requests without direct human intervention. The implementation of this technology in car sales information systems can reduce the workload of sales teams, accelerate responses to customer inquiries, and improve the overall quality of customer service. The collected interaction data can then be utilized by management for analyzing buyer preferences and planning more accurate marketing strategies. This study examines the phenomenon of successful chatbot implementation in various digital sales sectors and maps its potential utilization in the context of car sales. The study results indicate that the integration of AI-based chatbots not only optimizes the customer service process but also enhances operational efficiency and the overall effectiveness of the sales management information system. The implications of this research provide a strong foundation for automotive companies to adopt chatbots as an essential part of their digital sales strategy in the Industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages companies to optimize their Sales Management Information Systems (MIS) through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI enables the automation of business processes, predictive data analysis, and personalization of customer services, which have an impact on increasing operational efficiency and company profitability. This study aims to analyze the forms of AI implementation in Sales MIS, the benefits generated, and the challenges faced in its application. The method used is a descriptive approach through literature studies, document analysis, and observation. The results of the study indicate that AI implementation increases operational efficiency, accelerates decision-making, and improves the quality of customer service. However, the main challenges include data quality, information privacy, and the readiness of human resources. Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is driving the transformation of management information systems, including sales management information systems. This study aims to analyze the influence of AI implementation on the effectiveness of sales management information systems based on a review of scientific literature. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a literature study, utilizing secondary data sources in the form of national and international journals discussing the application of AI in information systems and sales management. The analysis was conducted through the process of grouping, comparing, and synthesizing findings from previous studies. The results of the review indicate that AI implementation has a positive influence on the effectiveness of sales management information systems, particularly in improving information quality, data processing speed, and the accuracy of managerial decision-making. AI enables sales information systems to generate real-time and predictive information through the utilization of data analytics, demand forecasting, and customer behavior analysis. However, the effectiveness of AI implementation is contextual and highly influenced by organizational readiness, including the quality and availability of data, technological infrastructure, and human resource competence. Without the support of these factors, AI implementation has the potential not to provide optimal added value. This study confirms that AI is not merely an operational automation tool, but a strategic component in sales management information systems that can enhance organizational competitiveness if implemented in a planned manner and aligned with business needs.

Abstract

The current development of digital technology has driven a significant transformation in information management, one of which is the application of artificial intelligence in management information systems, providing effectiveness and efficiency in business processes. The integration of artificial intelligence and management information systems has transformed procedures for collecting, analyzing, utilizing, and utilizing data, as well as organizational decision-making processes. Management Information Systems (MIS) are strategic elements that integrate data, technology, and processes to support organizational competitiveness. This study aims to provide an understanding of the concept, benefits, and role of MIS in supporting digital transformation. This research is expected to provide insight and knowledge about the role of MIS in supporting managerial functions such as planning, organizing, controlling, and speeding up decision-making. MIS can support organizational performance in achieving organizational goals in today's digital era.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, Management Information Systems (MIS) have become an essential component in business strategy and operational activities. This research focuses on the evolution of the role of MIS from a data processing tool to a strategic catalyst that transforms business models and enhances organizational interaction with customers and competitors. Recognizing the importance of MIS in a competitive business environment, this study explores how MIS can be leveraged for innovation and differentiation, while addressing challenges such as data security, system integration, and employee training needs. This research employs an industry survey method and in-depth interviews with practitioners to gain a comprehensive perspective on the implementation and challenges of MIS. The main objectives of this study are to assess how MIS can be used to support strategic business decisions and operations, as well as to identify and address emerging challenges in its application. The results of this study are expected to provide practical guidance for business leaders and IT practitioners, as well as theoretical contributions to the academic literature on the application of MIS in a dynamic business environment. This approach enables the research to not only identify the utility of MIS in supporting strategic business decisions and operations but also to highlight how MIS contributes to innovation and differentiation in a competitive business landscape.

Abstract

The development of industries based on digital technology requires vocational high school (SMK) graduates not only to have technical competencies but also strong soft skills, particularly in technology leadership (tech leadership). Students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) need to be equipped with communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to be able to adapt and compete in a dynamic industrial world. This community service activity aims to improve the competencies of SMK Gelora Jaya Nusantara students through Soft Skills Tech Leaders training as an effort to prepare them for the challenges of the workforce. The implementation methods include interactive workshops, group discussions, case study simulations, and learning reflections. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a tech leader and the importance of soft skills in managing technology projects. Participants showed high enthusiasm and active involvement throughout the training. This activity is expected to serve as a strategic step in supporting the readiness of the younger generation to face digital transformation and the demands of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The advancement of the digital era has significantly driven organizational transformation through the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS). This article aims to comprehensively review the latest trends in MIS, its implementation in Indonesia, and the challenges encountered. Employing an exploratory literature study approach with a descriptive design, data were collected from primary sources such as government reports and company documents, and secondary sources including indexed scientific journals and professional publications from the 2021-2026 period. Content analysis was used to systematically identify and present the findings. The results indicate that modern MIS trends are dominated by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), the adoption of cloud-based solutions, the utilization of big data analytics, and the strengthening of information security. Implementation in Indonesia, examined through case studies in the healthcare and business sectors, demonstrates the potential to improve service quality and operational efficiency. However, various challenges persist, such as low user discipline, infrastructure limitations, weak system integration, and data protection issues. This article concludes that successful MIS implementation requires a holistic approach encompassing the enhancement of human resource competence, strengthening of technological infrastructure, and sustained policy support. Reference management tools like Mendeley also play a crucial role in supporting research productivity and academic writing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Management Information Systems (MIS) on organizational decision-making processes. The background of this research is the increasing business complexity and data volume that can no longer be optimally managed by conventional MIS, necessitating the integration of AI technology to enhance decision quality. The method employed is a systematic literature review, analyzing 20 primary articles from reputable international journals and academic books published between 2015 and 2024. Secondary data were obtained from scientific databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Springer, and IEEE, and then analyzed using content analysis and thematic synthesis approaches. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI in MIS has a significant impact on the quality of decision-making at operational, tactical, and strategic levels. This impact is manifested in five main dimensions: (1) increased processing speed and real-time decision response; (2) enhanced accuracy and precision through machine learning; (3) reduction of bias and subjectivity with a data-driven approach; (4) achievement of efficiency and competitive advantage; and (5) the emergence of ethical risks and AI governance that need to be anticipated. These findings confirm that AI acts as a decision support system based on big data analytics, shifting the decision-making paradigm towards a more scientific and measurable approach (data-driven decision making). However, AI's effectiveness heavily depends on data quality, technological infrastructure readiness, human resource competence, and transparent and accountable algorithm governance. The implications of this research affirm that synergistic collaboration between humans and AI, with humans as the controllers of context and ethics, is key to creating adaptive and competitive management information systems in the digital era. This study contributes to the development of an effective framework for AI implementation within organizations.

Abstract

Digital image security is an important issue in this era of increasingly massive multimedia-based data exchange, especially for sensitive information that requires a high level of protection. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) asymmetric cryptography algorithm in the digital image encryption process based on the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) parameters, as well as encryption and decryption times. The method used is a quantitative experiment on 30 digital images with varying resolutions (256×256, 512×512, and 1024×1024 pixels) and two RSA key lengths (1024-bit and 2048-bit). The test results show that the MSE value ranges from 0.001068 to 0.002620 and the PSNR value ranges from 75.08 to 78.34 dB, indicating that the decrypted images are of very high quality and close to the original images. However, the computation time increased significantly with increasing resolution and key length, with RSA 2048-bit taking almost twice as long as RSA 1024-bit. These findings show that the RSA algorithm is very effective in maintaining the integrity of digital images, but has limitations in terms of computational time efficiency, especially for high-resolution images. Therefore, a balance between security and performance is needed in practical implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in a state-owned mining company, with a case study of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. The mining industry is characterized by complex operations that require integrated and accurate information to support managerial decision-making. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using secondary data derived from ANTAM’s 2024 Annual Report and recent academic literature. The results indicate that Management Information Systems plays a strategic role in supporting operational efficiency, financial performance monitoring, sustainability management, and corporate governance. The findings demonstrate that Management Information Systems contributes to improved decision-making quality and organizational performance in state-owned mining enterprises. This study provides academic and practical insights into Management Information Systems implementation within capital-intensive and sustainability-driven industries. This study contributes to the literature on Management Information Systems implementation in capital-intensive state-owned enterprises by providing empirical insights from the mining industry
