Abstract

Beginning reading ability is the initial ability that must be possessed by students. Not yet optimizing the ability to read early needs a teaching method with the right learning media so that it is more interesting for students in the activity of the reading process. This study aims to determine the difference between the use of the SAS method and the spelling method on the beginning reading skills of elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi experimental research with posttest only control design. The result of t test of control class and experimental class is 0.002. Due to the significance of 0.002 <0.005, it can be stated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference between the SAS learning method and the spelling method on the beginning reading ability of grade I elementary school students with Big book media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan efektivitas antara model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dan Mind Mapping terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan bebas siswa kelas V SDN 2 Kaligentong. Menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain Posttest Only, Nonequivalent Control Group Design, penelitian melibatkan 40 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelompok CIRC (82,55) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok Mind Mapping (77,90). Analisis statistik mengkonfirmasi perbedaan signifikan antara kedua model (sig. 0,014 < 0,05). Model CIRC terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan bebas melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kolaboratif, materi yang relevan, dan interaksi efektif antar siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of SMORDS media in improving elementary school student learning outcomes using the ONCE learning model. By using a type of classroom action research (PTK) and the methods used in collecting data are observation and interviews. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Salatiga 06 with a sample of two classes, namely classes VI A and VI B. The results of this research can be seen that after providing material treatment using Smart Words (SMORDS) media in Indonesian language learning, students were able to develop critical thinking skills, creativity and improve their learning outcomes as evidenced by the results of evaluation tests carried out which resulted in students getting a score of 81-100 and a percentage of 60%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a picture storybook called Certagam as an instructional medium to improve reading comprehension skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Pulutan 02. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ASSURE model. The development process included three main stages: preliminary study, product development, and limited trial. Data collection instruments included expert validation (material, media, and design) as well as pretest and posttest among students. The validation results showed that the Certagam book received a "very high" category from all experts. The effectiveness test results indicated a significant improvement between pretest and posttest scores based on the Wilcoxon test (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that the Certagam book is effective for teaching reading comprehension. This research also reinforces previous studies showing that picture storybooks can enhance literacy and student engagement in primary education

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Learning Sciences approach through the Reading and Thinking Aloud method to improve the reading comprehension skills of elementary school students who have difficulty in understanding the meaning of text content. Qualitative research with a case study approach was conducted at SD Negeri Salatiga 06, Salatiga City, Central Java Province, with 26 Grade 6 learners as the research subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and Y-charts, and analyzed using MAXQDA application. The analysis revealed three main clusters: Material Content Cluster, which shows that presenting material through visual media, interactive discussions, and a dynamic classroom environment increases understanding and learning satisfaction; the Constructivism Theory Cluster, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction, scaffolding, and collaboration between teachers and learners in developing critical thinking skills, in line with Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development concept; and the Content Use of Technology Cluster, which highlights the role of technological innovations, such as the use of QR codes, in creating interactive learning experiences and increasing learning motivation. The research findings show that the implementation of the Reading and Thinking Aloud method supported by technology significantly improves learners' reading comprehension and encourages active engagement and collaboration in the classroom. The data suggests that this learning strategy shows the potential of the Solution to address the problem of weak reading comprehension skills at the primary school level

Abstract

Abstract: This Collaborative Classroom Action Research (PTKK) aims to improve the descriptive writing skills of class II students in Indonesian language subjects at SD Negeri Salatiga 06 through the application of the TTW (Think Talk Write) learning model. The sample in this study consisted of 28 class II-b students. This research uses the collaborative classroom action research model of Kemmis and McTaggart. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. In precycle activities, writing skills only reached 48% (sufficient). After carrying out cycle I, the average description writing skill reached 64% (good), and cycle II reached a percentage of 88% (very good). Thus, the average increase in writing skills for students in cycles I and II reached 76% in the 'very good' category. Students' skills for each indicator have increased with the following details: the spelling indicator (use of capital letters and punctuation) reached 79% (very good), the text suitability indicator reached 77% (very good), the effective sentence use indicator reached 74% (good), the writing indicator reached 77% (very good), and the writing neatness indicator reached 73% (good). Based on this, through the application of the Think Talk Write model in Indonesian language learning, it is possible to improve the descriptive writing skills of class II students at SD Negeri Salatiga 06. Abstrak: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Kolaboratif (PTKK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi peserta didik kelas II pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD Negeri Salatiga 06 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran TTW (Think Talk Write). Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 28 peserta didik kelas II-b. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kemudian dilaksanakan analisis dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pada kegiatan pra siklus keterampilan menulis hanya mencapai angka 48% (cukup). Setelah dilaksanakan siklus I, rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi mencapai 64% (baik), dan siklus II mencapai persentase 88% (sangat baik). Sehingga, rata-rata peningkatan keterampilan menulis peserta didik siklus I dan II mencapai 76% dengan kategori ˜sangat baik™. Keterampilan peserta didik untuk tiap indikator mengalami peningkatan dengan rincian sebagai berikut: indikator ejaan (penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca) mencapai 79% (sangat baik), indikator kesesuaian teks mencapai 77% (sangat baik), indikator penggunaan kalimat efektif mencapai 74% (baik), indikator penulisan mencapai 77% (sangat baik), dan indikator kerapian tulisan mencapai 73% (baik). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, melalui penerapan model Think Talk Write dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi peserta didik kelas II di SD Negeri Salatiga 06.Kata Kunci: model TTW (Think Talk Write); keterampilan menulis; menulis deskripsi.

Abstract

Berdasarkan prasiklus yang telah dilaksanakan di kelas III SD Negeri Kalicacing 02 Salatiga menunjukkan beberapa permasalahan yaitu siswa kurang aktif dalam menyampaikan ide pikiran atau pendapat secara lisan, dan guru kurang bervariatif dalam menggunakan model dan media pembelajaran yang menarik untuk melatih keterampilan berbicara siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan media flashcard. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata observasi aktivitas siswa yang meningkat yaitu 88% dalam kategori sangat baik. Persentase tersebut meningkat 17% dari siklus 1. Peningkatan hasil keterampilan berbicara siswa ditunjukkan dari persentase ketuntasan yatu prasiklus 21% menjadi 36% pada siklus 1 dan meningkat menjadi 79% pada siklus 2. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model picture and picture berbantuan media flashcard dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permbelajaran Make A Match berbantuan media konkret terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas 4 SD Negeri 1 Jipang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dan tes. Data hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dianalisis dalam ketuntasan belajar secara individu dan klasikal kemudian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan persentase hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa kelas 4, hal ini ditunjukan dengan hasil belajar siswa pada evaluasi mengacu pada kriteria keberhasilan yang sudah ditentukan 65. Nilai rata-rata ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan sebesar 89,39% pada matapelajaran Matematika, dengan rincian pra siklus ketuntasan 42,86% dari 8 siswa yang mencapai keberhasilan dengan rata-rata 57,7, siklus I menjadi 73,43% dari 19 siswa yang mencapai keberhasilan dengan rata-rata 70,42 dan menjadi 89,39% pada siklus II dari 21 siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar dengan rata-rata 80,64. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Make A Match berbantuan media konkret dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 4 SD Negeri 1 Jipang. Abstract: Make A Match method assisted by concrete media on mathematics learning outcomes of 4th grade students at SD Negeri 1 Jipang. The type of the research is used classroom action research which consist of 2 cycles. Each cycle in this reserch pass through 4 stages which are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were all students in grade 4. Research data was collected through observation, and tests. The observation data of the teacher and students activities were analyzed in completeness of individual and classical learning and then described descriptively. The results showed an increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes in the first cycle and second cycle learning outcomes by grade 4 students, this is indicated by student learning outcomes on evaluation refers to the success criteria that have been determined 65. The average value of student learning completeness in the classical experience increases by 89.39% in Mathematics subjects, with pre-cycle details completeness of 42.86% of the 8 students who achieved success with average of 57.7, cycle I became 73.43% of 19 students who achieved success with average of 70.42 become 89.39% in cycle II, from 21 students who achieved mastery learning with an average of 80.64. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that learning using the Make A Match method assisted by concrete media can improve the learning outcomes of 4th grade students of SD Negeri 1 Jipang.
