Abstract

Indonesia is country with the largest tropical peatland in the world with scale ​​24.7 Ha forms a peat hydrological unit. Sumatra is the second province with the largest peatland area in Indonesia at 2.09 Ha. Ogan Komering Ilir Regency has the largest peat in South Sumatra with an area of ​​1.03 Ha. Exploitation and land management not suitable with the characteristics of peatland cause recurring fires every year and damage the function of the peat ecosystem. The activity of restoring peatland with agroforestry commodities that are adaptive and have high economic value on peatland is one of the strategic objectives to protect the environment and increase community income. Data collection was carried out in September 2025. The method used was the survey method. Determination of the number of samples used the census method by taking a population of 8 farmers who manage their land with oil palm agroforestry. The analysis was conducted using four financial feasibility indicators. The results of this study: Peat restoration based on oil palm agroforestry is feasible with an NPV value of 360.912.289, an IRR of 42%; Net B/C of 5.0, and a Payback Period of 2.4 years.

Abstract

Purpose – Purun is utilized as a raw material for handicrafts in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The challenges in production and marketing remain obstacles of handicraft small enterprises. The drying process still depends on climate. Futhermore, product designs tend to be mundane, lack of colour, pattern and innovation. Then, artisans generally sell only to middlemen, resulting in low bargaining power. This community programme to enhance the artisans’ capacity. Design/methodology/approach –The programme was implemented with Rude Gebol Djuai through five activities: socialisation; preparation for training activities;  technology implementation in the form of a steel drying rack, accompanied by decoupage practice; mentoring in product development and digital marketing; and evaluation conducted through observation, discussion, and post-test. The artisans as co-implementers by contributing local knowledge, producing innovative products, and applying digital marketing. Findings – The results indicate significant improvements in artisans’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes after participating in the training (Wilcoxon test, p<0.05). Product outputs became more varied, while the drying facility supported a more orderly drying process and improved production continuity. Then, total revenue increased from IDR18,450,000 to IDR42,550,000. In addition, the adoption of e-commerce began to use. Originality/value – This programme can improving artisans’ income, empowering women, and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Kegiatan pemasaran produk songket di Desa Tanjung Dayang Utara mayoritas masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Kondisi ini membatasi jangkauan pasar dan peluang peningkatan pendapatan pengrajin. Edukasi digital diperlukan untuk memperluas pemasaran dengan memanfaatkan tingginya penggunaan ponsel dan media sosial. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melatih dan mendampingi pengrajin songket agar mampu mengenal dan menggunakan platform digital marketing secara mandiri. Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk memperluas pasar dan meningkatkan pendapatan pengrajin songket. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti rendahnya literasi digital peserta, keterbatasan sarana teknologi, dan hambatan adaptasi terhadap perubahan metode pemasaran. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan langsung kepada 30 peserta di Ruang Pertemuan Desa. Pelatihan mencakup penyuluhan dan praktek penggunaan teknologi informasi serta multimedia untuk memanfaatkan platform digital marketing dalam pemasaran online seperti Shopee dan Instagram dan offline dalam pameran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengakses dan memasarkan produk secara digital melalui platform Shopee dan instagram yang berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan pengrajin songket memberikan kontribusi dalam pelestarian budaya lokal melalui pemasaran digital.
