Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Find out the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) based method in Basic Automotive Engineering (TDO) subjects with Measurement Subjects 2) To find out student learning outcomes after implementing the Project Based Learning (PJBL) based method in the subject Basic Automotive Engineering (TDO) with Measurement Subjects. This type of research is Class Action Research. This research was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this action research were 30 class X TKR TKR students at Patriot Pituruh Purworejo Vocational School. After the data was obtained, it was analyzed using the percentage description technique. Based on the results in cycle II, it has been shown that student learning outcomes have increased, this can be seen from the increase in learning scores of students who scored more than 75 by 80%. Student learning outcomes in cycle II have achieved the desired indicators of success, namely students who get a score of 75 or more reach a percentage of 80%. The research results show that: Student learning outcomes and activeness increase with each cycle. This can be seen from the average value of the class in cycle I of 71.54, which increased in cycle II, namely 78.97. The percentage of student completion also increased, in cycle I the percentage of completion was 51.43%, increasing to 80% in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and application of K3 in the practice of steering, brakes, and suspension systems of students of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (PTO Umpwr). This study is a descriptive study with a sample of 55 students. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the K3 knowledge of PTO UMPwr students in the good category was achieved in all indicators. The average result of the overall K3 knowledge indicator in the good category was 81.62%. The students' K3 attitudes were in the good category, namely 85.4%. Based on the percentage of each attitude indicator, it is known that the highest percentage is the indicator of appreciation with a percentage of 96.2% in the good category and 3.80% in the fairly good category. While the lowest percentage is in the responding indicator where 82.2% are in the good category and 17.8% are in the fairly good category. The application of K3 in the practice of steering, brakes, and suspension systems shows a percentage score on each indicator reaching a score above 50%. The average result for "always do" (SM) was 72.8%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of K3 in steering, braking, and suspension practice is in the good category. This means that students pay close attention to implementing or consistently carrying out the K3 implementation indicators. Abstract

Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a form of student service to society and is one part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This KKN activity was carried out in Kalisemo Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency. One of the work programs of KKN activities is socialization, here the KKN Team provides efforts to the community of Kalisemo Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency in the form of transferring knowledge about the use of live apothecary plants (curcuma xanthorrhiza) by carrying out outreach activities to improve public health through innovations in processing live apothecary plants (curcuma xanthorrhiza) into ginger pudding. Pudding is a dessert that usually has a sweet taste, in contrast to curcuma which predominantly has a bitter and pungent taste. Using curcuma xanthorrhiza as pudding has various benefits, including increasing the body's immunity and increasing appetite. The target achieved from this activity is that the community is able to innovate in the use of live apothecary plants (curcuma xanthorrhiza) into a product that can increase entrepreneurial opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of direct learning on engine components toward students' vehicle diagnostic abilities in vocational education. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, the sample consisted of 80 students selected using simple random sampling from a population of 100 students. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results show that direct learning has a positive and significant effect on students’ vehicle diagnostic abilities, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.264. This indicates that direct learning contributes 26.4% to the improvement of students' diagnostic abilities. The findings emphasize the importance of practical, hands-on learning approaches in vocational education. These approaches not only enhance students' understanding of automotive theory but also improve their diagnostic skills. The study highlights that systematic learning and direct interaction with engine components are key factors in developing students' competencies, making them more effective in real-world vehicle diagnostics.
