Abstract

Abstract

Increasingly, consumers are becoming more aware of and concerned about the products they buy and consume. However, products labeled as halal do not necessarily guarantee high halal quality, as there is a potential for contamination due to insufficient monitoring of the distribution chain by the relevant halal authorities in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of halal logistics, identify growth opportunities, and assess the threats faced, as well as determine the necessary actions for future development. Using a literature review approach, data were collected from search engine databases including Scopus, Google Scholar, Emerald, ScienceDirect, Taylor Francis, and Wiley Online Library, and then categorized into four SWOT categories. The findings indicate that the strengths of halal logistics lie in the large population and broad market segments, while weaknesses include regulatory issues and the lack of specialized halal logistics infrastructure. Opportunities could enable Indonesia to become a leading producer in the global halal trade, despite challenges such as the rise of counterfeit products and the production burdens associated with halal schemes. The final section of the study proposes relevant development strategies for stakeholders in the field of halal logistics. This research provides a reference for policy formulation and assessing the readiness of business actors and public consumption preferences regarding the halal concept. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive halal logistics regulations to ensure standardization, compliance, and security, while leveraging Indonesia's demographic strengths to promote halal products in international markets. The novelty of this research lies in identifying Indonesia's specific strengths and weaknesses in halal logistics and proposing strategies to enhance Indonesia's position as a global leader in branded halal trade.

Abstract

The Acehnese in various regions face the challenge of reconciling Islamic teachings with local cultural realities. Addressing religion-based conflicts is particularly difficult because local cultures often contain norms and traditions that differ from Islamic teachings. This research aims to explore how the dynamics of conflict and consensus in fiqh siyasah shape the cultural life of the Acehnese. The research consolidates previous studies using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The findings indicate that the practice of siyasah jurisprudence is highly relevant in fostering social solidarity and tolerance. Local traditions and customs hold deep significance for the Acehnese community; however, conflicts often arise due to differences in approaches and interpretations of Islamic law, leading to tension, mistrust, and suspicion among individuals. Presently, religion-based conflicts are mediated solely by Sharia courts, raising concerns as the prevailing consensus favors a socio-cultural approach. Such resolution methods generate diverse perspectives, as decisions made by customary institutions may not endure in a dynamic socio-cultural context. Although the Acehnese community firmly adheres to a culture-based approach, religious issues remain difficult to compromise. These findings imply a need for harmonization between local customs and interpretations of Islamic law to reduce conflict.

Abstract

The decline of Islamic civilization and the rise of Western civilization caused economic stagnation in Islamic countries. To address this problem and establish a scientific framework separate from the secular perspective, Muslim scientists develop Islamization of science movement. Muslim scientists are pushing for the Islamization of development economics. But the literature on Islamic economic development has been highly constrained and challenging to develop due to the study's confinement to material objects. The study uses the bibliometric and systematic literature review (SLR) methods to obtain a much broader picture of the development of Islamic economic development study. In this case, the literature collected comes from the database of journals in the Google index. The results show that the trend of the study of Islamic economic development has been increasing, suggesting that for about a decade, the topic of Islamic development economic research has been favored by researchers in the field of economics. The results of the mapping with Vosviewer and by reviewing the selected journals indicated that the future scope of the study of Islamic development economics is based on publication trends in Islamic finance system development, Islamic sustainable development, Islamic human development, Muslim community-based development, and Islamic agriculture development.

Abstract

Socio-historically, the role and contribution of women often do not receive the attention they deserve in the history of Islamic civilization. Many historical records tend to emphasize male figures and ignore or underestimate the contributions of women. This creates a significant gap in understanding regarding the position and role of women in Islamic history. This paper tries to describe two things. First, the position of women in Islamic history. Second, the implications of women's position in Islamic history on Indonesian family law. Because, basically, the process of forming laws in Indonesia is the position of women in the past. This type of research, using literature research with the research properties of descriptive-prescriptive analysis. While the approach used is the historical approach.  The results of this study show: First, the portrait of the position of women in Islamic history, especially in pre-Islamic and Islamic thought (interpretation and jurisprudence) women are placed in the second position after men. Second, the family law that was formed was a lot of descriptive content, exploitation, because it was formed based on the history of women's position in Islam which was charged with male culture.

Abstract

Many players in the halal industry do not have access to formal finance. As a result, they do not have access to capital, their business does not develop, and gradually goes out of business. This article aims to develop the concept of financing with the Rahn contract scheme. So far, the Rahn contract is only understood as an agreement in a pawnshop to obtain a certain amount of loans for consumptive purposes. This article uses a type of literature review where data is obtained from a number of publications derived from journals, books, proceedings, review results, magazines or newspapers, and other sources that are considered informative. This article argues that the Rahn contract can be developed as a capitalization solution for halal industry business units in the micro, small, and medium sectors. It further suggests the development of the function of the Rahn contract as a business capitalization contract by issuing shares as Marhun for financing media. The capitalization model with this scheme is intended to develop collateral as a means of investment.

Abstract

Abstract: The focus of this study is on consumer behavior and the economic consequences of the boycott campaign against Israeli products in Indonesia. This research adopts a qualitative approach to analyze consumer responses to the boycott movement that has spread across social media. Data were collected through documentation from various information platforms such as books, journals, reports, magazines, newspapers, and others. The findings reveal that consumer behavior is influenced by the boycott movement, particularly in terms of product and brand choices. Consumers are largely influenced by their religious beliefs, cultural values, and ethnocentric views toward certain products. Moreover, social media plays a significant role in disseminating information and supporting the boycott movement. The economic impact analysis of the boycott includes the potential decline in sales and how companies respond to consumer pressure. The extent to which this movement will affect Indonesia’s overall economy remains a subject of debate, although it may exert considerable pressure on targeted companies. This study provides deeper insight into the complexity of the phenomena caused by the boycott campaign of Israeli products in Indonesia. It is crucial to thoroughly consider both the economic impact and changes in consumer behavior at local and international levels.
