Abstract

Aluminium is a white non-ferrous metal and is easily oxidized. In the industrial world, aluminium was chosen because it has the advantages of light density, corrosion resistance, easy fabrication (forged), high thermal and electrical conductivity. However, aluminium also has disadvantages, namely having a low hardness value when compared to steel. Pure aluminum hardness is only around 50 VHN. Therefore anodizing is expected to improve the hardness value of aluminium. This study aims to determine the effect of time variation on the value of changes in mass, hardness, oxide layer thickness, and microstructure. This study used aluminium 1100 with a time variation of 60, 70, 80, and 90 minutes, a concentration of H2SO4 of 10%, a current density of 6 A and a voltage of 20 V. The results of the study using a time variation of 60, 70, 80 and 90 minutes obtained the change in value the smallest mass occurred at 60 minutes of 0.4 g and the largest occurred at 90 minutes of 1.09 g. The smallest hardness value occurred at 60 minutes at 72.8 VHN and the highest occurred at 90 minutes at 86.7 VHN. The lowest layer thickness value occurred at 60 minutes of 7.96 µm and the highest occurred at 90 minutes of 10.79 µm

Abstract

Era industrialisasi saat ini menjadi persoalan serius tentang penanganan limbah hasil manufaktur dari sebuah produk. Ditinjau dari sisi manfaat semua limbah dapat diolah dan dimanfaatkan, sehingga memberikan nilai dan keuntungan ekonomi bagi pelaku industri. Saat ini sebagian besar industri pengecoran logam menggunakan pasir sebagai cetakan untuk logam yang telah dilebur Salah satu jenis pasir yang digunakan adalah Resin Coated Sand yang terdiri daripasir silika yang berpengikat resin resol, namun tidak dapat digunakan berkali-kali sehingga penggunaanya terbatas dan cenderung menghasilkan limbah yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan karena berbasis resin. Limbah RCS yang telah hancur merupakan limbah dalam bentuk pasir, pada sisi lain jenis cetakan yang sering digunakan pada industri pengecoran logam menggunakan cetakan pasir, salah satunya cetakan greensand. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, limbah pasir RCS merupakan jenis pasir yang berpotensi digunakan sebagai substitusi untuk cetakan greensand. Penggunaan limbah RCS digunakan sebagai campuran cetakan greendsand dengan beberapa variasi presentase berat, yaitu 0%, 20%, dan 40% terhadap total komposisi cetakan, dengan campuran 8% bentonit dan 7% air. Material yang digunakan sebagai pengecoran berasal dari limbah sepatu rem sepeda motor yang dilebur menggunakan tungku arang, selanjunya berdasarkan hasil pengecoran dilihat cacat hasil pengecoran secara visual. Penelitian ini menunjukkan penambahan RCS 20% menunjukkan hasil pengecoran yang cenderung memiliki kuantitas cacat porous (gas terjebak) yang sama pada penambahan RCS 0%, dan pada penambahan RCS 40% cacat porous yang terbentuk semakin banyak menyebar. Penambahan RCS 20% juga menunjukkan hasil pengecoran yang lebih halus dibandingkan penambahan RCS 0% maupun 40%.

Abstract

Dunia digital pada kehidupan masyarakat saat ini telah mengubah arah praktik pemasaran melalui digital atau digital marketing. Digital marketing membuka komunikasi antar calon konsumen dan penjual dapat dilakukan tanpa batasan waktu atau real time dan tanpa batasan. Pada era digital saat ini banyak bermunculan pelaku usaha cendurung tidak memiliki toko secara langsung dan dagangan secara online atau melalui media internet. Beberapa UMKM tersebut melakukan kegiatannya di toko atau dilakukan secara langsung secara tatap muka dengan konsumen. Pada era digital saat ini Pelaku UMKM tersebut belum memanfaatkan teknologi melalui media internet, sehingga konsumennya merupakan pelanggan tetap mereka. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperluas jangkauan penjualan dan menaikkan omset penjualan UMKM di wilayah Kec Ceper Kab Klaten melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan menggunakan digital marketing. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif sebagai pendekatan terhadap kasus dengan UMKM Intan Snack yang bergerak dibidang penjualan makanan ringan, dan Laundry Alvin06 yang bergerak dibidang jasa cuci-seterika pakaia. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini jangkauan menjual barang atau jasa tidak hanya tatap muka namun juga melalui dunia digital, sehingga berpotensi menaikkan omset. Hasil luaran pengabdian ini meliputi meluasnya jangkauan penjualan, dan peningkatan omset penjualan UMKM.

Abstract

Program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja merupakan salah satu faktor pencegahan dan meminimalisir terhadap bahaya kecelakaan kerja yang terus disosialisasikan oleh pemerintah maupun pelaku kerja. Pencegahan Kecelakaan merupakan hal yang mendasar bagi perusahaan, karena menyangkut jiwa manusia atau tenaga kerjanya dan lingkungan kerja itu sendiri yang menjadi sebab timbulnya kecelakaan. Desa Batur, Kecamatan Ceper Kabupaten Klaten banyak pelaku UMKM yang bergerak dibidang pengecoran logam yang belum mengoptimalkan dalam penerapan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja. Dalam melaksanakan perkerjaan, pekerja tidak menggunakan alat pengaman, sehingga beresiko besar mengalamai kecelakaan kerja, dan hal ini berpotensi menghambat dalam mencapai produktivitas kerja yang diinginkan oleh perusahaan. Kegiatan diseminasi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pebekalan terhadap para pekerja melalui salah satu karyawan manajemen dari perusahaan maupun perangkat desa di lingkungan industri pengecoran logam Desa Batur, Kecamatan Ceper Kabupaten Klaten. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, Tanggal 2 November 2022 di Kampus 1 Politeknik Manufaktur Ceper. Pembahasan yang didalami dalam program dan kegiatan ini meliputi resiko kecelakaan kerja, dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri dibengkel pengecoran logam. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test terdapat kenaikan pengetahuan dari setiap peserta dengan peningkatan 14% sampai 29% atau rata-rata 23,25% dari sebelum pemaparan materi pada kegiatan ini.

Abstract

The majority of prosthetic leg products currently circulating in Indonesia are imported and made from stainless steel. Even though it has several advantages, the price and production costs are relatively expensive. So, it is necessary to introduce other materials to make the prosthetic legs more affordable. One alternative material is aluminum. Aluminum material can be fulfilled by recycling used aluminum. This research conducted a study on the tensile strength and yield strength of remelting used aluminum pistons based on the hardness value. The research material is aluminum from used pistons from large vehicles (buses or trucks) mixed with 20% silicon aluminum. Specimens with a target silicon (Si) content of 12%, 14%, and 16% were cast using a sand mold using the closed mold casting method. The Brinell hardness test refers to ASTM E10-15. The reference for the feasibility of melting as an alternative material is that its yield strength must be greater than the maximum stress on the prosthetic leg, which is 153 N/mm2. The average hardness for the Si 12%, Si 14%, and Si 16% samples is 87.35 HB, 101.01 HB, and 112.03 HB, respectively. The tensile strength for the Si 12%, Si 14%, and Si 16% samples is 125.30 N/mm2, 175.33 N/mm2, and 215.44 N/mm2. The yield strength of the Si 12%, Si 14%, and 16% samples is 80.02 N/mm2, 112.75 N/mm2, and 138.47 N/mm2. The melting results for the three samples cannot yet be applied to prosthetic limb materials because the yield strength is lower than the maximum stress that occurs.

Abstract

Resin Coated Sand atau RCS  salah satu jenis cetakan yang digunakan untuk proses pengecoran logam dan menghasilkan limbah yang mengandung resin. Sebagian besar limbah RCS  masih dapat  didaur ulang, karena masih mengandung pasir silika dan berukuran lebih kecil dibandingkan pasir silika untuk cetakan greensand. Cetakan greensand terdiri dari pasir silika dengan pengikat merupakan cetakan pasir yang sering digunakan pada industri pengecoran logam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penambahan limbah pasir RCS pada cetakan greensand terhadap karakteristik kekerasan dan struktur mikro pada peleburan ulang aluminium-silikon. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkan data pada komposisi limbah cetakan pasir RCS dengan presentase 0%, 20%, dan 40% terhadap pasir baru grendsand, sedangkan material logam aluminium yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengunakan limbah sepatu rem tromol sepeda motor. Hasil pengecoran logam didapat spesimen logam aluminium yang diuji kekerasan dan metalografi. Pada penambahan RCS 20% menunjukkan nilai kekerasan yang cenderung sama pada penambahan 0%, namun nilai kekerasan akan naik 2,4 kali pada penambahan RCS 40%. Berdasarkan pengujian metalografi penambahan RCS 40% menunjukkan struktur fasa Si yang cenderung lebih meluas dibandingkan pada penambahan 0% dan 20%.

Abstract

Studies on reclaiming CO2 sand mould waste have the opportunity to increase productivity. This research was conducted to learn further about the potential of reclaimed CO2 sand moulds. The effect of the grain size of the reclaimed CO2 sand mould on the hardness and metal surface roughness was analyzed. In addition, a comparison of casting quality analysis was carried out between products using new sand and reclaimed CO2 sand moulds. The CO2 sand moulds were crushed and then sieved using 12, 25 and 40 mesh sieves. The sand waste grains were reclaimed through a detergent washing process. SEM-EDS characterization was carried out to determine the elements contained. The hardness of the casting product was tested using the Rockwell method with a load of 981 N. Meanwhile, the metal surface roughness was characterized through the Roughness Test and visual identification using the JIS 82 standard. Based on the results of the SEM-EDS characterization, the three variations of the reclaimed CO2 sand have the potential to be reused. The quality of the hardness and metal surface roughness of the reclaimed CO2 sand with 25 mesh size variation is close to the quality of the casting product using a new sand mould.

Abstract

Educational transformation is a change in the education system to adapt to changing times and future needs. The independent curriculum policy encourages educational transformation towards independent learning. The independent curriculum policy is followed by several programs that support the implementation of the independent curriculum, including the driving school program. The driving school is a program where schools become role model projects for implementing the independent curriculum. SD IT Bahrul Uluum is currently not a driving school. In implementing the independent curriculum, SD IT Bahrul Uluum is classified as a type of school that implements the independent independent learning curriculum. As a non-PSP school, the principal and teachers of SD IT Bahrul Uluum are lacking in implementing the independent curriculum both from the cognitive (literacy and numeracy) and non-cognitive (character) aspects, in order to realize the profile of Pancasila students. In addition, the principal and teachers have not optimally utilized digital information technology or school digitalization to encourage educational transformation. This community service program is carried out to improve the competence of principals and teachers in implementing the independent curriculum and to increase the capacity of teachers in utilizing school digitalization. This program has been done through intensive training and mentoring for principals and teachers of SDIT Bahrul Uluum. Through this activity, principals and teachers better understand the independent curriculum material so that it can later be implemented in schools and each class. By increasing teacher competence in implementing the independent curriculum, learning will be more meaningful and have an impact on students. Through this activity, principals and teachers can better utilize the Education platform so that they can support principals and teachers in implementing the independent curriculum.

Abstract

The use of Small Wind Turbine (SWT) technology is currently being developed in residential and urban areas. The application of SWT can be directly integrated into a building called the Building Integrated Wind Turbine and the industrial area is one area that has the potential to develop the SWT concept as a Building Integrated Wind Turbine. Before designing and manufacturing a wind turbine for a Building Integrated Wind Turbine, data on wind density and direction is required. In areas where wind speed and direction have not been recorded, it is necessary to study wind velocity and direction data in real-time and in real conditions for a certain period. This study aims to map wind density and wind direction with real-time properties in the foundry industry area, Ceper District, Klaten Regency, so the potential value and value of wind density energy can be known. This research method includes data retrieval carried out in real time and in real conditions using the Automatic Weather Station instrument which was carried out from August 6 to September 6, 2021. The data obtained were random data and processed using weibull distribution statistics with Microsoft Excel software. The results of this study indicate an average wind speed of 2,038 m/s in stable conditions and sufficient wind gusts with a power density value of 6,994 Watt/m2. The wind direction tends to be south-east after the wind gusts are hampered by the building profil.

Abstract

Composite polymers are now under development and are widely used in automobile manufacturing for interior panels, door panels, and bodywork. The research and development of polymer composites for the automobile manufacturing must have resilient fire resistance requirements. Currently, polymer composites with fire resistance capabilities have been developed with geopolymer materials, which offer benefits and produce excellent performance. Geopolymers are inorganic polymers that contain aluminosilicates, silica oxides, and alumina oxides. They have thermally resistant mechanical characteristics. Geopolymer materials are commonly derived from waste materials, including those utilized as additions to polymer composite materials, specifically coal fly ash and clay-based waste. The purpose of this literature is to discuss the path and progress of waste-based polymer reinforced composite technology for fire resistance. The methodology employed in this study takes a conceptual approach to articles on the influence of adding different types of geopolymer materials on the fire resistance properties of natural fiber reinforced composites. According to the findings, articles involving the inclusion of geopolymer materials tend to lower resistance to tensile and flexural stresses, whilst the addition of this geopolymer material reduces fire resistant qualities.
