Abstract

Pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua merupakan salah satu elemen berpengaruh pada motivasi belajar anak, sehingga menjadi salah satu faktor penentu dalam keberhasilan proses belajarnya dan dalam meraih prestasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dan motivasi belajar anak kelas 6 Sekolah Dasar di SDN 2 Sumberkencono Kecamatan Wongsorejo Kabupaten Banyuwangi tahun 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Jumlah 35 responden dengan menggunakan teknik Total Sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner. Pengolahan data dan Analisis Data menggunakan Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulasi dan dianalisis dengan uji statistik korelasi Chie Square SPSS 25 for windows 8 dengan tingkat ? = 0,005. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang dominan adalah otoriter (66% responden). Sedangkan hubungan kedua variabel penelitian dengan uji Chie Square dengan SPSS ?= 0,7 > ?= 0,05 maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak yang berarti dan terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dan motivasi belajar anak.

Abstract

English language learning in higher education has challenges, particularly for non-English majors such as health science students, due to lack of motivation and material. Incorporating AI in learning is becoming popular and of increasing interest, especially in language learning environments. The research examined students' attitudes toward using ChatGPT as a learning aid in English learning and its potential advantages and weaknesses. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. It used a questionnaire administered to 45 health science students who used ChatGPT in English and 10 purposively sampled students for semi-structured interviews to obtain more comprehensive data about their experiences. The findings reveal that the AI tool is valued for its ability to explain complex topics, expand vocabulary, and help with writing. However, the following challenges were noted: information overload, complete reliance on the AI system, and the need for personalized responses. These insights stress the necessity of harmonizing technology with conventional teaching techniques. The implications indicate that although AI tools like ChatGPT can support language learning, human interaction is also significant. Integrating ChatGPT in English learning can be a worthy addition that will help students engage more and yield many positive learning outcomes. However, educators must tackle issues related to overdependence on AI-generated content and its information quality.

Abstract

Patients with cancer experience emotional distress which characterized by psychological symptoms such as anxiety or depression, psychological symptoms that arise and complex cancer processes have negative impact on their quality of life. Many cancer patients use a wide variety of techniques to improve their psychological symptoms and quality of life including relaxation therapy and specifically, Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). The systematic review purpose was to review the evidence regarding the use of PMR intervention for cancer patients. Thirty four published studies and nine identified original article as potentially relevant , undertaken in the past six years until now (2013 to 2019) with data bases in Scopus, Proquest, Google Scholar, Oxford, and Science direct Searches. The information flow chart from record identification to study inclusion was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA and extracted data with PICOT. The impact of progressive muscle relaxation interventions remained in effect for between seven days and six month after the interventions.. Progressive muscle relaxation intervention is the technique including continous and systematic stretching and relaxing of the muscles until the whole body becomes relaxed. It has effects in improving depression, stress, anxiety and quality of life via physical relaxation.

Abstract

In this modern era, the use of technology in education is growing, especially after the Covid 19 pandemic, which forced the educational world to adapt to technology so that learning can continue even though it is limited by space and time. So in the post-pandemic, education was used using technology, and student independence in learning has been well developed so that blended learning can be an alternative learning model in this new normal era. The Sevima Edlink application can be an alternative solution in blended learning because it is already integrated with the Siakad system on campus and can be accessed easily from a laptop and smartphone. This research aimed to describe the students' perspective on using Sevima Edlink as an English learning medium. It was descriptive qualitative research with a total sample of 70 students who took an English subject in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Banyuwangi. Based on the questionnaire results, student perceptions of using Sevima Edlink were generally positive. Interview results showed that the Sevima Edlink made the students easier to download learning materials, collect assignments more disciplined, and save data storage. Even though there were obstacles, including internet connection and weak signal, lack of information on using Sevima Edlink for new students, and task notifications were often late or did not appear, which caused students to be late in submitting assignments.

Abstract

Abstrak. Perubahan tata guna lahan, pertambahan jumlah penduduk serta kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pelestarian lingkungan DAS, menjadi masalah yang mengakibatkan tergannggunya kualitas air di Daerah Aliran Sungai. Masih adanya lahan pertanian yang mengakibatkan limbah pestisida pada aliran sungai, pemukiman penduduk yang kian padat, limbah industri disekitar aliran sungai juga turut menyumbang pencemaran aliran sungai di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Dalam jangka pendek kerusakan DAS dapat mengakibatkan bencana hidrometeorologi seperti banjir, tanah longsor atau kekeringan, sedangkan dalam jangka panjang bisa menimbulkan konflik sosial akibat masalah ketersediaan sumberdaya air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis peran aktor dalam formulasi kebijakan program SEKARDADU (Sekolah Rawat Daerah Aliran Sungai di Banyuwangi). Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya aktor yang terlibat dalam proses formulasi kebijakan tersebut dibagi menjadi 2 unsur yaitu Inside Goverment terdiri dari 10 instansi pemerintahan dengan peran untuk berkoordinasi dan 12 instansi pemerintahan sebagai pelaksana. Sedangkan Outside Goverment terdiri dari 9 pihak Perguruan Tinggi yang membantu dalam kegiatan formulasi kebijakan. Pembuatan kebijakan telah memberikan kesan bahwa peran elit lebih dominan sehingga partisipasi swasta dan ellite kurang terlihat.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to identify the relationship between Self-Efficacy, spirituality, and Quarter Life Crisis (QLC) among final-year health students at STIKES Banyuwangi. Methods: A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional correlational design was employed. The study involved 43 final-year students experiencing QLC from a population of 79. Data were collected using the General Self-Efficacy Scale, Spiritual Well-Being Scale, and a QLC questionnaire, then analyzed using Rank Spearman correlation. Results: Most students (60.5%) managed QLC at a "good" level. A significant negative correlation was found between Self-Efficacy and QLC (r=0.548, p<0.01), and between spirituality and QLC (r=0.646, p<0.01). This indicates that higher Self-Efficacy and spirituality are associated with lower QLC levels. Conclusion: Self-Efficacy and spirituality are crucial protective factors against QLC in final-year health students. These findings suggest the importance of interventions focused on enhancing Self-Efficacy and spiritual well-being to support students' psychological welfare.

Abstract

The increasing globalization of healthcare requires midwives to develop effective English communication skills since it has become the standard of international communication in healthcare facilities. This research aims to evaluate the English language needs of midwifery students and identify gaps in current instructional practices.   The research design was qualitative, and data was collected through questionnaire responses, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis.   The samples included 30 participants from midwifery students, instructor, and clinical supervisor. The findings indicated that all students acknowledged medical terminology and patient communication skills as vital subjects.   Students expressed anxiety and a lack of readiness using English in clinical settings because of the substantial difference between classroom learning and real-world practice.   The study finds that English for Specific Purposes (ESP) curricula do not adequately address the precise linguistic requirements that characterize midwifery practice. Developing curricula for midwifery students should use authentic material and contextualized scenarios, integrated with language training by clinical supervisors and support from educators, may assist students in real-world engagement to enhance clinical care across settings. Future research should examine larger factors that shape language education in health services.

Abstract

Gerakan literasi sangatlah penting agar siswa dapat bersosialisi melalui keahlian berbahasanya dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai suatu informasi dengan sangat jelas. Literasi membaca bukan hanya berhubungan dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan saja, melainkan juga berkaitan dengan sikap, perilaku, serta motivasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa di SD Negeri 1 Grogol agar bisa terbentuk budaya membaca. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para siswa kelas 3 sampai 6. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Education, Approach, Dream, Action, dan Evaluation. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi, minat baca siswa, dan interaksi sosial baik antar siswa maupun antara siswa dan guru. Disamping itu, kunjungan perpustakaan juga meningkat pasca kegiatan ini. Perlu adanya pembiasaan agar membaca menjadi sebuah budaya. Sinergi antara pihak sekolah, para siswa, serta dukungan orang tua juga sangat diperlukan guna mendukung tereliasisasinya keberlanjutan program kegiatan ini.
