Abstract

The study of functional groups and heat resistance of energy-importing materials, as well as the inclusion of coupling agents, were the primary subjects of this article. 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate was the coupling agent employed in this study to alter the surface of the silica in the composite material being created. Furthermore, the emergence of bifunctional organometallic (silane) connecting groups allowed the coupling agent to improve the energy storage material's heat resistance. Through the using of dynamic mechanical analysis, scanning electronic microscopy, and thermal tests. It was determined how the type of coupling material affected the interfacial bond strength. According to the findings, there was a significant interaction between the coupling material and the filler surface that had an impact on the material's heat resistance.

Abstract

This research aims to design and test the effectiveness of the Foot Reflection-Relaxation Stimulator (FRRS), which combines electrical and magnetic stimulation as a reflexology therapy method to reduce pain caused by fatigue. FRRS is designed to stimulate reflex points in the feet by applying principles of physics such as static magnetic fields and Lorentz force, which are expected to enhance blood circulation and relax tense muscles. The testing was conducted on 25 healthy male participants who experienced leg fatigue after traveling a distance of 20 km. Pain levels were measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) before and after treatment with FRRS. The results showed a significant decrease in pain scale, from an average of 7 before treatment to 3.12 after treatment. The use of FRRS has proven effective in reducing pain due to fatigue in the legs, which is believed to be due to increased blood circulation and muscle relaxation. Thus, FRRS can be a practical and efficient solution to improve the quality of life for individuals who often experience fatigue and pain in their legs.

Abstract

Railways in Indonesia still show problems, such as time delays. To make train services in Indonesia better, government efforts are needed, one of which is the development of new infrastructure, such as the construction of a double-track train such as Sepanjang to Mojokerto segment. So it is necessary to analyze the level of service both in existing conditions and after construction. The analysis was carried out in two conditions, namely, full single track and full double track. For full double-track reference, a simulation is carried out with an auxiliary program, namely the Railway Operation Simulator (ROS). By entering data in the form of station layouts, train facilities, and signaling systems and blocks. Based on the analysis results, it shows that the double track in the Sepanjang-Mojokerto segment affects the level of service. The prediction of service levels for the Sepanjang-Mojokerto segment shows that three road plots have LoS A. So, overall, with the construction of the double track, this segment is operating below capacity and has low traffic.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan eksperimen pada spesimen Batu Gamping untuk mengetahui sifat fisik dan mekanik. Pada percobaan ini digunakan metode non-destructive yaitu dengan menggunakan alat ultrasonik dan osiloskop. Hasilnya, alat ultrasonik dan osiloskop mampu dengan baik mengukur kecepatan gelombang P. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga meliputi pengukuran sifat fisik internal batuan seperti porositas dan densitas. Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan parameter-parameter mekanik Batu Gamping berdasarkan teori yang ada. Beberapa nilai parameter penting yang didapatkan antara lain Compressional Wave Modulus (M), Bulk Modulus (k), dan Shear Modulus (μ) adalah 58,72 GPa, 19,57 GPa, dan 29,36 GPa, berturut-turut.

Abstract

This study investigates the swelling behavior and thermomechanical properties of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and silica xerogel composites using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The composites were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and prepared by wet mixing PEG with silica xerogel. The analysis revealed that the interaction between PEG and silica xerogel significantly affects both the thermal and morphological properties of the composites. DSC data showed a shift in the glass transition temperature (Tg) and an earlier onset of thermal degradation in the PEG-Silica Xerogel 10 wt.% composite (P-SX10), indicating increased molecular mobility and reduced matrix stability. Notably, the swelling behavior was strongly influenced by temperature: as the temperature increased, the composites exhibited greater expansion and surface degradation, particularly in PEG-rich systems. This thermal sensitivity is attributed to the loosening of polymer–filler interactions and the partial debonding of matrix structures. The findings suggest that both composite composition and thermal exposure play critical roles in determining swelling characteristics and long-term structural integrity.

Abstract

Abstrak Imobilisasi ortopedi merupakan bagian penting dalam proses penyembuhan patah tulang atau fraktur. Bidai merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk proses imobilisasi patah tulang atau fraktur dan umumnya berbahan dasar gips dan fiberglass. Bidai jenis ini sering menyebabkan komplikasi kulit akibat penumpukan panas dan kelembapan di bawah permukaan bidai. Kondisi mikroklimat dengan suhu dan kelembapan tinggi dapat memicu maserasi kulit, bau tidak sedap, dan infeksi sekunder yang memerlukan intervensi medis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan maksud mengembangkan prototipe bidai ortopedi biofungsional berbasis 3D Printing yang dilengkapi modul sensor suhu dan kelembapan yang ditransmisikan secara wireless.  Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe bidai memiliki kekuatan tekan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan bidai gips. Uji pemantauan waktu nyata selama dua jam dilakukan pada relawan sehat dengan suhu lingkungan 25 °C menunjukkan bahwa suhu internal bidai berada pada rentang 30–31,2 °C dan kelembapan relatif 64–66%, dengan deviasi ≤1,3% terhadap alat referensi dan nilai p > 0,05 untuk seluruh titik waktu. Fluktuasi suhu dan kelembapan yang diamati mencerminkan dinamika termal fisiologis dan efektivitas ventilasi pada struktur bidai. Prototipe bidai ini menunjukkan kemajuan penting dalam perawatan ortopedi dengan meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien patah tulang, mengurangi komplikasi kulit, dan mengintegrasikan rekayasa biomedik dengan teknologi kesehatan digital.   Abstract Orthopedic immobilization plays a critical role in the healing process of bone fractures. Casts are commonly used to immobilize fractured bones and are traditionally made from materials such as plaster of Paris or fiberglass. However, these conventional casts often cause skin-related complications due to the buildup of heat and moisture beneath the surface. An enclosed microclimate with elevated temperature and humidity can lead to skin maceration, unpleasant odor, and secondary infections that require clinical intervention. The present study aims to develop a biofunctional orthopedic cast prototype fabricated via 3D printing, equipped with embedded temperature and humidity sensors capable of wireless data transmission. Mechanical testing demonstrated that the 3D-printed cast exhibited higher compressive strength compared to traditional plaster-based casts. A two-hour real-time monitoring test was performed on a healthy volunteer in a controlled environment (25 °C). The internal microclimate within the cast ranged from 30 to 31.2 °C with a relative humidity of 64–66%, showing a deviation of no more than 1.3% compared to calibrated reference instruments (p > 0.05 for all time points). The observed fluctuations in temperature and humidity reflect the physiological thermal dynamics of the skin and the effectiveness of the lattice ventilation design. Overall, the developed prototype represents a notable advancement in orthopedic care by improving patient comfort, reducing the risk of skin complications, and integrating biomedical engineering with modern digital health technologies.

Abstract

Abstrak Pektin yang diekstrak dari kulit durian merupakan salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan limbah biomassa berpotensi tinggi sebagai material ramah lingkungan, khususnya untuk aplikasi kemasan pangan biodegradable. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi numerik berbasis COMSOL Multiphysics untuk menganalisis perilaku mekanik film tipis pektin kulit durian di bawah berbagai kondisi pembebanan. Studi dilakukan dengan membangun model tiga dimensi (3D) film tipis, kemudian pemetaan tegangan von Mises, analisis distribusi tegangan, serta evaluasi nilai tegangan maksimum (peak stress), minimum, dan rata-rata. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan distribusi tegangan tidak merata di seluruh volume film, melainkan terkonsentrasi pada tepi dan sudut akibat efek geometri. Nilai peak stress berfluktuasi terhadap waktu dan cenderung meningkat pada siklus pembebanan tertentu, yang berimplikasi pada potensi inisiasi retakan di area kritis. Meskipun demikian, sebagian besar area film masih berada dalam kondisi elastis, sehingga deformasi bersifat reversibel. Analisis ini menegaskan bahwa ketahanan jangka panjang film tipis pektin dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi sifat intrinsik material, kondisi batas, serta variasi pembebanan. Temuan ini memberikan dasar penting bagi pengembangan material kemasan berbasis pektin kulit durian yang lebih andal melalui modifikasi struktur maupun penambahan aditif penguat.   Abstract Pectin extracted from durian rind represents a promising valorization of biomass waste with potential applications as an eco-friendly material, particularly for biodegradable food packaging. In this study, a COMSOL Multiphysics-based numerical simulation was conducted to investigate the mechanical behavior of durian rind pectin thin films under various loading conditions. A three-dimensional (3D) thin-film model was developed, followed by von Mises stress mapping, stress distribution analysis, and evaluation of maximum (peak stress), minimum, and average stress values. The results revealed that stress distribution was not uniform across the film volume but concentrated along the edges and corners due to geometric effects. Peak stress exhibited temporal fluctuations and tended to increase during specific loading cycles, indicating a high probability of crack initiation in critical regions. Nevertheless, the majority of the film remained within the elastic regime, allowing reversible deformation. This analysis highlights that the long-term reliability of durian pectin thin films is strongly governed by the interplay of intrinsic material properties, boundary conditions, and loading variations. The findings provide a scientific basis for further optimization of durian rind pectin films through structural modification or reinforcement additives to enhance their performance as sustainable packaging materials.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to simulate the strength of the implant plate, as a method for healing tibia fractures by combining bone with a bone plate. Then model and analyze using ANSYS software to analyze loads such as deformation and the maximum distribution of von Mises stress values. The results of the Maximum Principal Stress analysis on the cobalt-chromium implant plate show a minimum value of -1.2527107 Pa (-12.527 MPa) and a maximum value of 7.57610 7Pa (75.76 MPa). Based on the research results, Co-Cr material has significant advantages compared to steel as an implant material. In addition, this material has excellent corrosion resistance and very good biocompatibility, making it safe for long-term use in the human body without significant risk of allergic reactions or irritation.

Abstract

Abstrak Guru professional di abad 21 ini dituntut untuk memiliki empat kompetensi yaitu kompetensi pedagogi, professional, kepribadian dan sosial. Kompetensi pedagogi guru berkaitan dengan proses belajar mengajar seperti memdesain perangkat pembelajaran dengan media berbasis IT dan implementasi model pembelajaran inovatif. Pembelajaran gamifikasi merupakan salah satu metode yang mengintegrasikan teknik game dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan yaitu FGD, workshop dan pendampingan serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Kegiatan PkM yang dilakukan di SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang diikuti oleh semua guru yang ada di sekolah yang berjumlah 13 orang. Kegiatan pelatihan gamifikasi terdiri dari tiga yaitu pelatihan aplikasi wordwall, quizzis dan Kahoot! Kata kunci: gamifikasi; guru; kompetensi pedagogi. Abstract Professional teachers in the 21st century are required to have four competencies, namely pedagogical, professional, personality and social competencies. Teacher pedagogical competence is related to the teaching and learning process such as designing learning tools with IT-based media and implementing innovative learning models. Gamification learning is a method that integrates game techniques in the learning process. The methods used are FGD, workshops and mentoring as well as evaluation and reflection. The PkM activities carried out at SMP 'Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang were attended by all 13 teachers at the school. Gamification training activities consist of three, namely wordwall application training, quizzis and Kahoot! Keywords: gamification; teacher; pedagogy competencies.

Abstract

Abstrak Akses air bersih sangat penting untuk kesehatan dan kualitas hidup, terutama bagi populasi yang berisiko seperti anak-anak di panti asuhan. Panti Asuhan Al-Bisri menghadapi akses terbatas terhadap air bersih, yang dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan seperti diare, kolera, dan kondisi dermatologis lainnya. Untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian SDGs-6 mengenai tercukupinya air bersih dan sanitasi, tim penyuluh melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memasang filter air di panti asuhan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman akan pentingnya air bersih serta mengurangi bahaya penyakit yang ditularkan melalui air dengan menggunakan teknologi filtrasi air yang sesuai. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penyuluhan dengan menggunakan metodologi pre-test dan post-test melalui kuesioner yang mengukur pengetahuan para penghuni panti asuhan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan mencakup penyuluhan, pemasangan filter air, pelatihan pemasangan filter air, dan monitoring serta evaluasi. Kuesioner diberikan untuk menilai pengetahuan dasar mengenai pentingnya air bersih dan filtrasi air sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan mencapai 75% dalam pemahaman para pengelola panti asuhan mengenai air bersih setelah penyuluhan dilakukan, serta perbaikan dalam penggunaan air bersih bagi penghuni panti asuhan, diantaranya mengetahui pentingnya hemat air, membiasakan mencuci tangan, dan kebiasaan hidup sehat lainnya dengan memanfaatkan air bersih secara efektif setelah pemasangan filter. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan dan teknologi filtrasi air secara efektif meningkatkan kesadaran dan kesehatan di Panti Asuhan Al-Bisri, dengan potensi untuk digunakan di komunitas lain yang menghadapi kesulitan serupa. Kata kunci: filterisasi; air bersih; tingkatkan kesehatan; SDGs 6; sanitasi dan air bersih; panti asuhan. Abstract Access to clean water is very important for health and quality of life, especially for at-risk populations such as children in orphanages. Al-Bisri Orphanage faces limited access to clean water, which can lead to health issues such as diarrhea, cholera, and other dermatological conditions. To facilitate the achievement of SDG-6 regarding access to clean water and sanitation, the outreach team conducted community service by installing water filters at the orphanage. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding of the importance of clean water and to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases by using appropriate water filtration technology. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach using a pre-test and post-test methodology through questionnaires that measure the knowledge of orphanage residents. The research methodology used includes outreach, installation of water filters, training on water filter installation, and monitoring and evaluation. The questionnaire was given to assess the basic knowledge regarding the importance of clean water and water filtration before and after the counseling. The results of the activities showed a significant increase of 75% in the understanding of clean water among the orphanage managers after the counseling was conducted, as well as improvements in the use of clean water for the orphanage residents, including understanding the importance of water conservation, getting into the habit of washing hands, and other healthy living habits by effectively utilizing clean water after the installation of the filter. This study concludes that counseling and water filtration technology effectively improve awareness and health at Al-Bisri Orphanage, with the potential to be used in other communities facing similar challenges. Keywords: filtration; clean water; improve health; SDGs 6; sanitation and clean water; orphanage
