Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the Cooperative Learning Model Type Think-Pair-Share (TPS) that can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research was conducted in sorong. The subject of this research was fifth grade class B at SD Muhammadiyah I Sorong in academic year 2010/2011. The students consist of 14 males and 24 females. The research was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The procedure and Implementation at the study site was divided into two cycles. In the first cycle performed four times of implementation by using Cooperative Learning Model Type Think-Pair-Share (TPS). The second cycle took four times with the same model. The observations took with the observation sheet has been prepared, and then reflected by writer and teacher to evaluate the research that has been run on each cycle and to improve the implementation of the next cycle. The technique of data collection was done by  using observation and tests. The data were performed with qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematics learning outcomes at SD Muhammadiyah I fifth grade class B increases. At the beginning of test the average was 5,40 and at the end of the first cycle mean score was 5.84. Being at the end of second cycle the average was of 8,09. The action did  to stimulate the students' attention by giving preliminary description of matter at the beginning of the meeting, the student group discussions and presentations, providing competition, growing students’ curiosity by implementing the Cooperative Learning Model Type Think-Pair-Share (TPS). Giving the relevance of study based on students' experience and providing them the example that is relevant to students. To increase the students self confidence was done by giving them the opportunity to answer questions and write them down in front, giving verbal praise who are successful, providing the opportunity to the group to present the result of discussion, and provide feedback. To increase student satisfaction with verbal praise who are successful, notify the student test results obtained, and giving appropriate rewards and not excessive.

Abstract

Penanaman karakter pada diri setiap peserta didik sangatlah penting. Negara kita saat ini sedang mengalami krisis multidimensi, salah satunya banyak kasus korupsi yang ada. Pendidikan anti korupsi merupaakah salah satu cara mencegah perilaku korupsi sejak dini, kesuksesan dalam membangun karakter mahasiswa merupakan salah satu indikator kesuksesan dalam membangun Negara Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan karakter anti korupsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas  yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus, dalam setiap siklus melakukan pembelajaran sebanyak 3 kali dan tes 1 kali. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match  pada sebanyak 20 mahasiswa kelas  J yang mengontrak mata kuliah matematika dasar. Hasil observasi aktivitas dan angket karakter anti korupsi  menunjukkan bawa terdapat peningkatan karakter anti korupsi  mahasiswa. Rata-rata hasil observasi sikap mahasiswa meningkat.

Abstract

This research is a development study with the aim of determining the feasibility of geometric interactive media that is carried out in students of SMA AL-Amin Kota Sorong and evaluating the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on the opinions of linguists, media specialists, and material experts. The four steps of the development process are the defining stage (define), the design stage (design), the development stage (develop), and the deployment stage. This development model is called the 4-D device development model (Four D Model) (disseminate). Linguists, subject matter experts, and media specialists were contacted about and evaluated the interactive multimedia that had been developed. The subject matter in Interactive Multimedia is related to geometry. According to the assessment of linguists in the development of multimedia learning, this study has succeeded in developing multimedia interactive geometry that has a very decent quality with an average of 3.7, while in the assessment of material experts obtained an average assessment of 3.6 and based on media experts, this study has obtained an average score of 3.5 which is categorized so that based on the assessment criteria, interactive multimedia meets the eligibility criteria

Abstract

The implementation of learning from home requires teachers and schools to find alternatives to face-to-face learning with online learning. Of the several applications that can be used to support online learning, one of them is Google Meet. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical understanding abilities after doing online learning based on Google Meet. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical understanding abilities after doing online learning based on Google Meet. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that focuses on analyzing the ability to understand mathematics. The instruments used to collect data are test questions and questionnaires. The ability to understand mathematics is analyzed based on the concept of understanding according to Bloom's taxonomy, namely translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. From the results of the study, it was found that the highest level of student understanding was on the translation indicator and the lowest was on the extrapolation indicator with high-ability students having a good understanding of mathematics and students with low abilities not being able to understand mathematics learning given online.

Abstract

This service aims to increase the awareness of the children of the Kokoda Tribe in Warmon Village about the importance of formal education and health. The methods used are counseling and demonstrations. Counseling was carried out to provide awareness and motivation to the children of the Kokoda tribe, while demonstrations were conducted to provide examples and direct practice on how to wash hands and brush their teeth properly and correctly. In addition to counseling and demonstrations, in this service activity, gifts in the form of stationery and personal hygiene kits were also distributed to the children of the Kokoda Tribe, Warmon Village. After the dedication, it was seen that the children of the Kokoda Tribe in Warmon Village became motivated and enthusiastic and were diligent in going to school.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is toincreasing interest in reading, enthusiasm for learning, understanding in recognizing letters and improving the reading and counting skills of the Yeflio village children. This activity was carried out in Yeflio village, Mayamuk District, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province. Participants who took part in this community service activity were children of pre-school age, elementary school age, and junior high school. Participants in this community service activity totaled 50 children, with 33 girls and 27 boys. The implementation of this activity was carried out using several reading guidebooks and arithmetic books as well as reading, writing and arithmetic learning media that were made. The activities were carried out for 16 meetings from 23 August to 15 September 2022 every Monday to Thursday at 15.00. 00 to 17.00 WIT. The learning process is carried out both classically and in groups according to the abilities of the participants. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and tests, data on the results of activities were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the community service activities concluded that there was an increase in literacy skills in reading, writing, arithmetic (SICALISTUNG) in activity participants with details of an increase in the number of participants who already knew letters by 4 out of 8 participants or 8%, and fluent reading by 16 people or 32%. In writing literacy, the increase occurred in participants who wrote fluently by 4 people (16.7%) and participants who could not write decreased to only 1 person out of 6 people or 8.3%. In the numeracy literacy program there was also an increase in the average score from 14 to 42 in the addition and subtraction program.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan masalah utama yang ada di Indonesia yang dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif baik bagi kesehatan maupun dalam kegiatan sehari-hari apabila tidak diolah dengan baik. Sampah berkaitan erat dengan perilaku konsumtif masyarakat yang tidak diikuti dengan kesadaran masyarakat akan kebersihan lingkungan. Sampah dapat dibagi menjadi 3 jenis yakni sampah organik, sampah anorganik, dan bahan berbahaya dan beracun (B3). Kegiatan sosialisasi ini berfokus pada prinsip Recycle melalui pembuatan kerajinan dari sampah kemasan air mineral gelas di SD Negeri 31 Kota Sorong. Tujuannya adalah membangun karakter siswa sejak dini melalui pemanfaatan sampah khususnya sampah plastik sehingga meminimalisir meningkatnya jumlah sampah plastik dilingkungan sekitar serta dapat bernilai ekonomis jika dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan kerajinan melalui teknik recycle sampah plastik (kemasan air mineral gelas). Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan dengan sasaran siswa kelas 4, 5, dan kelas 5 SD Negeri 31 Kota Sorong. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini berlangsung dengan baik dengan siwa yang sangat antusias dan aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung.

Abstract

Education has an important role in the development of individuals and society. Mathematics is often considered difficult by students, requiring understanding concepts and applying formulas. The Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model emerged as an effective alternative, enabling students to be involved in contextual mathematics projects. This study aims to investigate the effect of PjBL on the motivation to learn mathematics in SD Inpres 46 Sorong City students. The research method is an experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is 20 grade 3 students of SD Inpres 46, Sorong City. The results showed a significant increase in students' motivation after the treatment. The distribution of pretest-posttest scores is close to the normal distribution. The reliability test shows the motivational questionnaire is reliable. The hypothesis test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest. Students learn through group work in completing assignments and making works, so they are more enthusiastic in learning. They pay full attention to the teacher's instructions and dare to ask and answer questions from the teacher. In addition, students also actively work together in completing assignments given by the teacher. Thus, this study succeeded in increasing student motivation through PjBL. These results can support the development of more effective learning strategies in the field of mathematics education at the elementary level. According to the results of calculating the average score on the learning motivation scale in the experimental group was 75.35, while the average posttest score on the learning motivation scale in the experimental class was 87.57.

Abstract

Asistensi mengajar untuk memberdayakan mahasiswa dalam membantu proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar di berbagai Desa/Kota Salah satunya SD YPPK Willibrodus yang bertempat di Kota Sorong Papua Barat Daya. Dengan adanya program Kampus Mengajar, mahasiswa yang terlibat memiliki tangggung jawab dalam membantu pihak sekolah pada proses mengajar, membantu adaptasi teknologi dan membantu administrasi sekolah. Tujuan kegiatan ini adaah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran mahasiswa dalam adaptasi teknologi di SD YPPK Willibrodus 1. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data meliputi observasi dan dokumentasi data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari program ini yakni adanya peningkatan kemampuan pengetahuan siswa SD YPPK Willibrodus dalam hal adaptasi teknologi yang dilakukan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah selama daring.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning ( PBL ) terhadap literasi matematika siswa dalam konteks penyajian data. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dan mengadopsi metode pre-eksperimental di mana penilaian dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil tes awal (pretest) dengan penerapan model PBL, dilanjutkan dengan tes akhir (posttest) untuk menilai kemampuan akhir siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pretes dan posttest yang berkaitan dengan materi penyajian data, serta penilaian respon siswa setelah diterapkannya model PBLuntuk meningkatkan literasi matematika. Rata-rata skor pretest menurut data penelitian sebesar 49,40 dan rata-rata skor posttest sebesar 75,04. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai sig  yang menandakan bahwa data berdistribusi normal sedangkan uji t-test memiliki nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Rata-rata nilai n-gain yaitu 0,5082 yang berada pada kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematika siswa setelah menggunakan model PBL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika lebih tinggi daripada sebelum menggunakan model PBL. AbstractThe objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on students’ mathematical literacy in the context of data presentation. This research is quantitative in nature and adopts a pre-experimental method where assessment is carried out by comparing the results of the initial test (pretest) with the application of the PBL model, followed by a final test (posttest) to assess students’ final abilities. The instruments used were pretest and posttest questions related to data presentation material, as well as assessing student responses after implementing the PBL model to improve mathematical literacy. According to research data, the average pretest score was 49.40, while the average posttest score was 75.04. Based on data analysis, a sig value of  was obtained, which indicates that the data is normally distributed, while the t-test has a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. The average n-gain value is 0.5082, which is in the medium category. It can be inferred that the average student’s mathematical literacy ability after using the PBL model to improve mathematical literacy skills is higher than before using the PBL model. This research article is expected to provide insights for further research on students’ mathematical literacy abilities.
