Abstract

This research was conducted because it was motivated by the low character of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika of students, seen from the phenomenon faced by students where the lack of understanding of students towards diversity, where there is still a lack of being fair to everyone, there is still discrimination against friends, this happens to seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. This study aims to determine the effect of Pancasila Education learning on the character of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. The benefits of this research are that it can be a source of reference in education, can support teachers in developing their skills in managing classes, creating a positive learning environment, and guiding students in developing the character of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. and this research can make it easier for students to understand the importance of unity in everyday life. This research method is descriptive quantitative, the data collection instruments used in this study are questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The population in this study were 123 seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. The sampling of this study was based on Sugiyono's theory which used the Simple Random Sampling technique using the Slovin formula with a precision of 10% so that the number of samples in this study was 50 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between Pancasila Education learning on the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika character of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Koto Gasib.

Abstract

The problem of single-use plastic waste is becoming an increasingly serious environmental issue due to the high consumption of plastic in everyday life, including in the school environment. Low awareness and environmentally friendly behavior among students has an impact on increasing plastic waste which causes environmental pollution and health. This activity aims to increase students' environmental awareness through socialization of reducing the use of single-use plastic waste at SMP N 3 XIII Koto Kampar. The implementation method includes three stages, namely preparation, implementation of socialization, and evaluation. The socialization was held on August 22–24, 2025, involving all students, teachers, the principal, and lecturers as resource persons. The methods used in the socialization included lectures, interactive discussions, and questions and answers regarding the impact of plastic waste and the application of the 3R principle (reduce, reuse, recycle). The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding and awareness of the negative impacts of single-use plastic waste. In addition, there was a change in attitude demonstrated through students' positive responses to the use of environmentally friendly alternatives such as refillable drinking bottles and non-plastic food containers. This socialization activity has proven effective as an educational effort in raising environmental awareness and encouraging changes in students' behavior towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Abstract

This study was focused on analyzing the influence of mental health and academic stress on the academic achievement of first-year students. This research was conducted in the Study Program of Chemistry Education, Biology Education, Physics Education, Mathematics Education, History Education, Economics Education, Pancasila and Civics Education, at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Riau. The sample size for this study was 303 first-year students. The research data were collected using questionnaires distributed directly to students. The data were analysed using SmartPLS version 4.0. There was a significant effect of mental health on student academic achievement (p<0.05; calculated t-value = 8.592 > t-table value of 1.96), categorised as strong. Meanwhile, academic stress also had a significant effect on student achievement (calculated t-value = 2.106 > t-table = 1.96, p < 0.05), indicating a strong effect. Academic stress was also found to impact students' mental health (p<0.05). Simultaneously, the combination of mental health and academic stress was also found to influence academic achievement (p<0.05) significantly. A path analysis found that the path from academic stress to mental health to academic achievement was an effective predictor of first-year students' academic achievement. Path coefficient analysis identified this pathway as an effective model for improving student academic achievement. This research is expected to provide attention and policy guidance for first-year students' academic achievement at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan rekomendasi kebijakan dalam mewujudkan kewarganegaraan lingkungan yang mendukung perilaku pro-lingkungan secara berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat pesisir. Lingkup penelitian ini berfokus pada masyarakat pesisir di Provinsi Riau, yang berjumlah 2.907.458 orang yang tersebar di enam kabupaten, yaitu: Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, Kabupaten Pelalawan, Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti, dan Kota Dumai. Merujuk pada the required sample size table dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan margin kesalahan 5%, sampel penelitian yang dibutuhkan adalah 384 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana digunakan untuk menentukan sampel penelitian. Hasil analisis multi-dimensi menunjukkan bahwa nilai indeks dan status keberlanjutan kewarganegaraan lingkungan masyarakat pesisir di Provinsi Riau berada pada angka 74,17. Nilai ini berada dalam interval 50,01-75,00 dengan kategori yang cukup berkelanjutan. Kondisi ini tentu cukup mengkhawatirkan dalam hal keberlanjutan dan perlu menjadi perhatian khusus bagi para pemangku kepentingan. Analisis prospektif yang dilakukan mengidentifikasi 3 faktor yang memiliki pengaruh sangat besar terhadap keberlanjutan kewarganegaraan lingkungan dalam mewujudkan perilaku pro-lingkungan di masyarakat pesisir di Provinsi Riau. Tiga faktor tersebut terdiri dari satu penentu utama keberhasilan (faktor input) dan dua faktor penghubung/pendukung keberhasilan. (stakes factors). Salah satu faktor utama adalah memilih produk yang ramah lingkungan. Dua faktor penghubungnya adalah (1) pengurangan jejak karbon pribadi; dan (2) pengurangan plastik sekali pakai. Dengan demikian, ketiga faktor ini menjadi dasar untuk penyusunan rekomendasi strategi dalam mewujudkan kewarganegaraan lingkungan dalam mengaktualisasikan perilaku pro-lingkungan masyarakat pesisir di Provinsi Riau. Melalui penilaian ahli, program pendidikan lingkungan hidup dan kampanye terintegrasi ditetapkan sebagai rekomendasi kebijakan yang mendukung SDGs Provinsi Riau.Kata kunci: Kewarganegaraan Lingkungan; Strategi, Sikap Pro Lingkungan; Berkelanjutan, Masyarakat PesisirABSTRACTThis research was conducted to develop policy recommendations for actualizing environmental citizenship in actualizing pro-environmental behavior in a sustainable manner in coastal communities. The scope of this research focused on the coastal communities of Riau Province, totaling 2,907,458 people spread across six districts, namely: Inderagiri Hilir Regency, Bengkalis Regency, Rokan Hilir Regency, Pelalawan Regency, Meranti Islands Regency, and Dumai City. Referring to the required sample size table with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%, the research sample needed is 384 people. Simple random sampling technique was used to determine the research sample. The results of the multi-dimensional analysis show that the index value and sustainability status of environmental citizenship of coastal communities in Riau Province are at 74.17. This value is in the interval 50.01-75.00 with a fairly sustainable category. This condition is certainly quite worrying in terms of sustainability and needs to be a special concern for stakeholders. The prospective analysis conducted identified 3 factors that have a very high influence on the sustainability of environmental citizenship in actualizing pro-environmental behavior in coastal communities in Riau Province. The three factors consist of one main determinant of success (input factors) and two connecting/supporting factors of success (stakes factors). One main determinant is choosing environmentally friendly products. The two connecting factors are (1) reduction of personal carbon footprint; and (2) reduction of single-use plastics. Thus, these three factors are the basis for the preparation of recommendations for strategies to realize environmental citizenship in actualizing pro-environmental behavior of coastal communities in Riau Province. Through expert judgment, an integrated environmental education and campaign program was determined as a policy recommendation that supports Riau Province's SDGs.Keywords: Environmental Citizenship; Strategy, Pro Environmental; Sustainability, Coastal Comminities

Abstract

The Influence of the Creative Problem Solving Learning Model on the Motivation to Learn Pancasila Education of Class X Students of MAN Insan Cendekia Siak. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model on the learning motivation of Pancasila Education of class X students of MAN Insan Cendekia Siak. The background of this study is that student learning motivation in the Pancasila Education subject tends to be inconsistent due to the dominance of conventional methods centered on the teacher. The study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was all class X students (144 students), with a sample of 2 classes (48 students) selected through simple random sampling after a homogeneity test. The experimental class (X-B) used the CPS model, while the control class (X-A) used conventional learning. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire, observation, and documentation, analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent t-tests with SPSS 26 at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the learning motivation of the experimental class increased significantly from an average pretest of 52.29 to a posttest of 94.58 (very high category), while the control class increased from 47.92 to 60.63 (high category). The t-test resulted in t-count > t-table (p = 0.000 < 0.05), so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Observations of teacher and student activities reached the "very perfect" category (93.5% and 96.6%). N-Gain showed medium-high effectiveness (g = 0.65). It was concluded that the CPS model had a positive and significant effect on the learning motivation of Pancasila Education students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ learning interest in Pancasila Education due to the use of conventional and less interactive teaching methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gamification-based learning media on the learning interest of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 46 Pekanbaru. The research employed a quantitative approach using a true experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 201 students, with two classes selected as samples through simple random sampling, namely the experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure students’ learning interest. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The N-Gain analysis indicated that the experimental class obtained a score of 0.66 (moderate category, quite effective), while the control class obtained a score of 0.40 (low category). Hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test showed that the calculated t-value (5.248) was higher than the t-table value (1.990) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that gamification-based learning media significantly improves students’ learning interest.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media on enhancing students' comprehension of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika concepts among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Kubu Babussalam, Rokan Hilir Regency. A quantitative approach was applied utilizing a quasi-experimental design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group format. The research sample comprised 60 students divided into an experimental group (30 students) receiving AR-based instruction and a control group (30 students) undergoing conventional learning methods. Data were collected through written tests (pretest and posttest), questionnaires, classroom observation sheets, and documentation. Statistical analyses included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and Independent Sample T-Test using SPSS 26. Findings revealed that the mean posttest score of the experimental group (83.10) surpassed that of the control group. The t-value was 5.111 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05), resulting in rejection of H₀ and acceptance of H₁. The experimental group's N-Gain score reached 0.7609 (76.09%), classified as high. These results confirm that AR-based learning media exerts a meaningful and positive influence on students' understanding of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika values.
