Abstract

Education functions to develop skills and enhance the quality of life and human dignity, both personally and socially. In Indonesia, education is not only the responsibility of educational institutions but also of the citizens and the government. Education and society cannot be separated from each other, and the development of education is greatly influenced by the ability to adapt to changing times. This research was conducted in Kubu District, which has a lower-middle social living standard and still has children who drop out of school. The aim of this study is to understand the community's perception of the importance of children's education in Kubu District. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling. The sample consists of 47 people, including informants and the community of Kubu District. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive data analysis techniques and percentage techniques. The results of the study show that the majority of the Kubu District community (68%) agree that children's education is important, 21.2% are somewhat in agreement, and 10.8% disagree. Interviews indicate that economic factors, awareness of the importance of education, and adequate facilities and infrastructure are the main elements influencing the quality of children's education. Support from parents and the government is also crucial in ensuring that children achieve quality education. Overall, children's education in Kubu District is influenced by the role of parents, community awareness, government support, as well as economic factors, awareness, and infrastructure. A strong combination of these three factors will increase the likelihood of children receiving proper and quality education, and achieving a better future. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pembelajaran PPKn terhadap kesadaran hukum pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Batu Hampar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif dan hubungan sebab-akibat (kausal). Populasi dalam penelitian ini meliputi seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 1 Batu Hampar, yang berjumlah 320 siswa dari kelas VII, VIII, dan IX pada periode 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling yaitu teori dari Suharsimi Arikunto, dengan taraf 25% dari total populasi, sehingga jumlah responden adalah 80 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS version 25. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji regresi linear sederhana, uji hipotesis (uji F), uji koefisien korelasi, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini di dapat bahwa pembelajaran PPKn memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kesadaran hukum yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji F diperoleh Fhitung sebesar 30,768 dan Ftabel sebesar 3,96 dimana hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, serta diperoleh koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,283 yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas (Pembelajaran PPKn) terhadap variabel terikat (Kesadaran Hukum) adalah sebesar 28,3%. Adapun rekomendasi dari penelitian ini yaitu bagi siswa diharapkan dapat mengikuti pembelajaran PPKn dengan baik dan harus menanamkan sikap dan perilaku yang taat pada aturan sekolah sebagai wujud dari bentuk kesadaran hukum di sekolah serta dapat mengimplementasikan pembelajaran PPKn yang berguna sebagai acuan maupun arahan untuk menjadi warga negara yang memiliki kesadaran hukum yang tinggi.

Abstract

AbstractDiscipline has a significant impact on student character. Discipline is influenced by several factors, one of which is the lack of the role of extracurricular activities in fostering student discipline. Therefore, one of the most significant activity programs in schools to build student discipline is coaching and developing students through extracurricular activities. One of the values contained in the game of basketball is to develop a disciplinary attitude that can be carried out by a coaching program that is in accordance with the implementation of Pancasila moral values to instill the character of student discipline. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Tambang against the backdrop of a phenomenon that occurred at SMAN 2 Tambang namely the lack of student discipline at school. The population of this study were 20 students of basketball extracurricular activities. The sample in this study were 20 students, because the population was less than 100 people, the researchers took the whole. Questionnaire and documentation are two approaches to collect data. Using a simple linear regression method, the data is processed using a quantitative analysis tool. Based on the results of research on the inculcation of disciplinary character values through extracurricular activities in schools, it can be concluded that there is a 34.5% influence of basketball extracurriculars on the disciplinary character of students at SMAN 2 Tambang.------------AbstrakDisiplin memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap karakter siswa. Kedisiplinan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satu yaitu kurangnya peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam menumbuhkan kedisiplinan siswa. Oleh karena itu, salah satu program kegiatan yang paling signifikan di sekolah untuk membangun kedisiplinan siswa adalah pembinaan dan pengembangan siswa melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Adapun nilai yang terkandung dalam permainan bola basket salah satunya yaitu mengembangkan sikap disiplin yang dapat dilakukan program pembinaan yang sesuai dengan implementasi nilai moral Pancasila untuk menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Tambang dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya fenomena yang terjadi di SMAN 2 Tambang yaitu lemahnya kedisiplinan siswa di sekolah. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa ekstrakurikuler bola basket yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa, dikarenakan jumlah populasi yang kurang dari 100 orang maka peneliti mengambil secara keseluruhan. Kuesioner dan dokumentasi adalah dua pendekatan untuk mengumpulkan data. Menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana, data diolah dengan menggunakan alat analisis kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang Penanaman Nilai Karakter Kedisiplinan Melalui Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler di Sekolah, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh sebesar 34,5% Ekstrakurikuler Bola Basket terhadap Karakter Disiplin Siswa di SMAN 2 Tambang.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe a comparative study of perceptions of terrorist stigma between male and female students at the University of Riau. How the terrorism and bombing cases that occurred in Indonesia were masterminded by certain religious groups using certain symbols and attributes, giving rise to a negative stigma perspective between male and female students at the University of Riau. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire consisting of five indicators and 19 questions. The data analysis technique in this study was using the Independent Sample T-test with the SPSS version 25 program. After testing the normality of the data with normal data results and testing the homogeneity of variance with homogeneous data results, then hypothesis testing can then be carried out. The results of the hypothesis test are 1,000 and the value of 1,000 > 0.05 (2-tailed < 0.05), then Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is no difference in perceptions of terrorist stigma between male and female students at the University of Riau.--------------------AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan studi perbandingan persepsi stigma teroris antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan di Universitas Riau. Bagaimana kasus terorisme dan pengeboman yang terjadi di Indonesia didalangi oleh sekelompok oknum agama tertentu dengan menggunakan simbol serta atribut tertentu, sehingga menimbulkan perspektif stigma negatif antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan di Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner/angket yang terdiri dari lima indikator dan 19 pertanyaan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan uji analisis Independent Sample T-test dengan program SPSS versi 25. Setelah melakukan uji normalitas data dengan hasil data normal dan uji homogenitas varian dengan hasil data homogen, maka selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil uji hipotesis adalah 1,000 dan nilai 1,000 > 0.05 (2-tailed < 0.05), maka Ha ditolak dan Ho diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi stigma teroris antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan di Universitas Riau.

Abstract

This research is motivated by political changes in Indonesia, which are followed by increasing issues of decentralization and democratization. The research is directed at evaluating the implementation of Good Governance in Duri Barat Subdistrict, with the aim of explaining field conditions, analyzing government governance, and identifying the influence of Good Governance principles on government governance. This research is quantitative research that uses a statistical approach to analyze the observed symptoms. Conducted in Duri Barat Subdistrict, Duri City, Riau Province, from March to April 2023. The population of this research was all government employees in Duri Barat Subdistrict, with sampling using total sampling because the population was less than 100. The data collected consisted of data primary through questionnaires and interviews. The research instrument includes Good Governance and government governance variables. The data analysis techniques used include simple linear regression analysis, t test, and coefficient of determination test to determine the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Based on the data obtained from 14 employees which were then processed and tested, conclusions can be drawn from the overall results of the test results analysis. Simple linear regression explains that for every additional percentage of Good Governance, government governance increases positively.

Abstract

This research was based by the phenomenon of low curiosity among Riau University students regarding election smart homes (RPP), this is in line with the results of interviews with 10 Riau University students, of whom 6 students did not know what an election smart home was or the role of an election smart home. This shows how low the curiosity of Riau University students is, so that an attitude of indifference or not caring about the existence of this election smart house (RPP) appears. The formulation of the problem in this research is what is the perception of Riau University students regarding the role of the Pekanbaru City Election Smart House (RPP). The population in this study was Riau University students, totaling 35,395 people. (PDDikti 2022) and the sample taken in this research was 100 respondents taken from each faculty, 10 people using the Kouta Sampling Technique. The data collection methods used in this research are interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of research and information data, the role of the smart home election (RPP) is shown by the percentage of respondents who answered Very Playful, amounting to 23.8%, plus the results of the percentage of respondents who answered Playing a Role, which was 60.3%, namely the sum of 84.1% which is located in the range 75.01%-100%. Thus, it can be concluded that the Perception of Riau University Students towards the Role of the Pekanbaru City Election Smart House (RPP) is in the Very Important category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena berdasarkan fakta yang terjadi di SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru menunjukan kepribadian siswa yang tidak disiplin seperti halnya mengerjakan tugas pekerjaan rumah saat guru mengajar dikelas, terlambat datang ke sekolah, keluar kelas saat pergantian mata pelajaran, duduk dikantin sekolah saat jam pelajaran sedang berlangsung, tidak memperhatikan guru saat menerangkan materi pelajaran dikelas, mengerjakan tugas mata pelajaran lain di kelas, tidur saat guru menjelaskan materi pelajaran. Fenomena tersebut menunjukkan bahwa fakta yang terjadi di lapangan tidak sesuai dengan kondisi ideal yang seharusnya terjadi. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian dengan judul Pengaruh Disiplin Belajar Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas XI SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah ada pengaruh displin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru. Tujuan penitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan statistik sebagai alat uji perhitungan. Instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuisoner yang terdiri dari 25 butir pernyataan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 164 siswa dan penarikan sampel pada penelitian sebanyak 25% yang menjadi 41 responden terdiri 6 kelas XI MP1, MP2, TKJ, BDP, AKL, RPL dengan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UNRI Pekanbaru. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dari uji F bahwa diketahui ada pengaruh yang signifikan variabel (X) Disiplin Belajar (Y) Prestasi Belajar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan uji F hitung sebesar 37,481 sedangkan F tabel adalah 4,09 pada taraf signifikansi 5% yang berarti bahwa Ha diterima. Selain itu, hasil dari perhitungan nilai kolerasi atau hubungan (R hitung) yaitu sebesar 0,700. Dari output SPSS tersebut diperoleh koefisien determinasi (R square) sebesar 70% maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh variabel X terhadap variabel Y yaitu sebesar 70% selebihnya yaitu 100% - 70% = 30% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh nilai konstanta sebesar 10,847 yang berarti konsistensi variabel Disiplin Belajar sebesar 10,847 dan nilai koefisien regresi X sebesar 0,637, menyatakan bahwa setiap penambahan 1% nilai Disiplin Belajar maka nilai Prestasi Belajar bertambah sebesar 0,637. Koefisien regresi tersebut bernilai positif, sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa arah pengaruh Disiplin Belajar (X) Terhadap Prestasi Belajar (Y) adalah positif.

Abstract

Online teaching and learning activities can be identified as synchronous and asynchronous learning. This forces every education stakeholder to continue to provide innovation in reducing the impact of learning loss during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was designed in quantitative descriptive using questionnaire and described in the tables and diagrams forms of survey research method. The population was all students of Social Studies Education of Riau University, Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University, and Riau Islamic University. The research sample was chosen by using a Stratified Random Sampling Technique approach, with 15% of the active students. It was shown that the average score of Social Studies Education students on the three attitude indicators was in the response > 50%, indicating that the attitude of Social Studies Education students participating in online learning in Pekanbaru city was quite good even though there were still obstacles in the learning process. Abstrak: Kegiatan belajar mengajar secara online dapat diidentifikasi sebagai pembelajaran sinkron dan asinkron. Hal ini memaksa setiap stakeholder Pendidikan terus memberikan inovasi dalam mengurangi dampak learning loss selama pandemi COVID-19. Desain penelitian berbentuk kuantitatif guna memberikan jawaban terhadap maksud penelitian dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk tabel dan diagram. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yakni dalam bentuk. Tanggapan terhadap angket diidentifikasi sesuai 4 tingkatan Skala Likert. Populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS di Universitas Riau, Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim, dan Universitas Islam Riau. Penyampelan dilakukan melalui pendekatan Stratified Random Sampling Technique, di mana dipilih sebanyak 15% dari mahasiswa aktif semester genap. Secara keseluruhan skor rata-rata mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS terhadap tiga indikator sikap yakni berada pada respon >50%, maka sikap mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS di Kota Pekanbaru selama mengikuti pembelajaran online tergolong baik walaupun masih ditemui hambatan baik dalam bentuk keterbatasan jaringan internet maupun kesulitan memahami materi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The background to this research is because SMA Negeri 1 Pangean tends to learn conventionally, students are not given a learning experience, they are not trained in critical reasoning skills. So, when faced with a problem related to a learning topic, students experience difficulty in obtaining information and ideas, difficulty in analyzing and reasoning about information, and difficulty in concluding and conveying information clearly and systematically. Therefore, the lack of critical reasoning skills of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangean deserves to be followed up and steps are needed to respond to and overcome the problems faced by students. One step that can be taken is to learn using the Active Debate method. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of the active debate method on the critical reasoning abilities of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangean. The population in this study were class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangean with a total of 105 students. The sample in this study consisted of 70 students, who were divided into two classes, namely classes XI A and XI B. The data collection methods used in this research were observation, questionnaires. Data processing using statistical analysis using the t test formula, namely the Independent Sample T-test with a value of Sig.(2-tailed)=0.000 at a significance level of 5% or 0.0000.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that the active debate method influences the critical reasoning abilities of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangean by obtaining an average score of 100% in the experimental class and an average of 90.32% in the control class.

Abstract

This research is motivated by KPU Regulation Number 10 of 2018 which contains methods of socialization in general elections carried out by the General Election Commission, both at central and regional levels. Of course, this KPU regulation can be a guide for the KPU in implementing strategies or ways to influence new voters to participate more actively in participating in the 2024 Presidential election. This research method is qualitative. The aim of this research is to find out the communication strategies used by the Pekanbaru KPU in increasing the participation of first-time voters in the 2024 presidential election. This research was carried out at the Pekanbaru KPU Office. To determine informants, the sampling method used was the Snowball sampling method. In this research, the researcher got 9 sources, including 2 KPU people, 5 PPK people, and 2 students from different schools. Based on the results of research with 9 sources, there are 4 strategies implemented by the Pekanbaru KPU in socializing the 2024 election, including face-to-face communication strategies, mass media communication strategies, props communication strategies, and creative media communication strategies. The strategy that was not implemented was the strategy of using democracy volunteers.
