Abstract

This research aims to analyze how prophetic leadership integrates moral, spiritual, and ethical values of Islam into modern management practices to create just and sustainable leadership.Method: The approach used is literature study, examining the teachings of the Qur'an, Hadith, and various case studies of the implementation of prophetic leadership in educational institutions and the business world. The analysis is conducted qualitatively to understand the application of Islamic values in the context of contemporary leadership.Results: Findings show that values such as trustworthiness, justice, transparency, and integrity are fundamental in building organizations that are not only efficient but also ethical and sustainable. Prophetic leadership can create a humanistic work culture and enhance organizational loyalty and performance.Novelty: This research presents innovation by combining traditional Islamic principles with the needs of modern leadership, resulting in a holistic and adaptive leadership paradigm. The main contribution lies in the development of management and leadership literature that emphasizes spiritual values as a key pillar in strategic decision-making.

Abstract

One of the important aspects often raised in literary works is gender representation, particularly that of women. Within the structure of a patriarchal society, women are frequently positioned as the Other or as subordinate parties, confined to the domestic sphere and portrayed as passive or emotional. This study discusses the issue of women as the Other in Han Kang’s novel The Vegetarian from the perspective of Simone de Beauvoir’s existentialist feminism. This novel was chosen because it depicts a female character, Yeong-hye, who is positioned as the Other from a male perspective. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, using data sources in the form of quotations from the novel, and data collection techniques through close reading and note-taking, which were then analyzed using Beauvoir’s existentialist feminist theory. The findings indicate that Yeong-hye is constructed as the Other through acts of objectification and subordination by men, which reinforce patriarchal dominance in controlling women’s bodies and negating their subjectivity. Literature can serve as both a reflective and critical medium to highlight social realities, including gender injustice, as well as offer alternative perspectives on women’s freedom and identity.

Abstract

The Center of Excellence Vocational High School (SMK PK) program is designed to produce graduates with superior competence in their respective fields of expertise. This condition requires teachers to continuously improve the quality of the learning process they deliver. One important framework that can be utilized is TPACK, which refers to the integration of content knowledge (CK), pedagogical knowledge (PK), and technological knowledge (TK) in teaching and learning. This study aims to reveal the ability of SMK PK teachers to integrate these three aspects in order to support the development of competitive graduates. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained from five productive subject teachers across different study programs in one SMK PK located in Malang City. The focus of the study was on teachers’ mastery of PCK, TCK, TPK, and TPACK domains in implementing learning activities. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that in selecting instructional technology, teachers consider students’ characteristics and conditions while aligning them with predetermined learning outcomes. Teachers also tend to choose technological tools and representations that are more familiar and user-friendly to minimize potential difficulties.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Indonesian language textbook using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to improve the scientific writing skills of pharmacy students. The research adopted the Four-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Needs analysis was conducted using questionnaires, interviews, and document studies to identify students’ initial conditions, obstacles, and expectations regarding academic writing. Findings revealed that while students understood the basic structure of scientific writing, they struggled to organize ideas, apply proper citation, and transform laboratory reports into systematic articles. The design stage produced a prototype consisting of 17 chapters, of which 14 were validated as relevant and 3 were excluded. The prototype was subsequently validated by experts in materials, media, and language. Novelty: This research provides novelty by integrating CTL principles into a Bahasa Indonesia textbook specifically tailored to pharmacy students, ensuring meaningful, practical, and contextual learning outcomes.

Abstract

The role of leadership management in optimizing the use of digital learning media to achieve more effective learning at the junior high school level. The importance of this research lies in the crucial role of effective leadership in managing educational technology, especially amidst the rapid development of digitalization in the education sector. This study adopted a quantitative design with a correlational survey approach, involving 28 seventh-grade students at SMPN 10 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, selecting students who actively use digital learning media. The collected data were analyzed using linear regression analysis and Pearson correlation to test the relationship between variables. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship between leadership management and the use of digital learning media, as well as a positive influence of digital media use on learning effectiveness. These findings provide a practical contribution to education policy, by encouraging the strengthening of leadership roles that support the use of technology in learning. Theoretically, this study enriches the understanding of the transformational leadership model in the context of digital education and provides a basis for developing technology-based learning management strategies.

Abstract

This sociocultural reality cannot be separated from the learning process, as it shapes students' perspectives, motivations, and learning needs. Learning processes that ignore local realities tend to lose relevance, resulting in a disconnect between the theory they learn and their daily lives. This study aims to understand the meaningful learning experiences of students at STKIP Pesisir Selatan through the perspective of educational phenomenology. The focus lies on how students interpret their learning experiences inside and outside the classroom, as well as the factors that shape meaning in the learning process. The phenomenological approach explores students’ subjective experiences in depth. The findings show that meaningful learning depends not only on course material but also on connections to the local cultural context, social support, the lecturer’s role as a facilitator, and students’ intrinsic motivation. This article contributes to the development of more humanistic, contextual, and reflective learning practices in teacher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concepts and practices of developing curriculum evaluation based on local needs, with a particular focus on the context of STKIP Pesisir Selatan. This review employs a literature review approach drawing on various relevant academic sources, including national and international journals, education policy reports, and institutional documents related to curriculum evaluation development. The findings indicate that curriculum evaluation based on local needs emphasizes the integration of values, potentials, and the socio-cultural characteristics of the community surrounding the campus into instructional design. At STKIP Pesisir Selatan, this approach is realized through the strengthening of curriculum evaluation that is adaptive to coastal socio-economic conditions, community empowerment, and the alignment between graduates’ competencies and regional needs. The implementation strategies involve collaboration among lecturers, students, and local stakeholders to ensure that the curriculum is not only academic in nature but also applicable in addressing contextual problems faced by the community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and types of locutionary speech acts used by elementary school children in daily interactions through YouTube videos on the Ueno Family channel. The focus of the study covers three types of locutions, namely declarative locutions, imperative locutions, and interrogative locutions. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with the technique of listening and noting to children's speech in three videos: Masak Bareng Ritsuki dan Mama Mega, Main Ular Tangga, and Main dan Belajar Bareng Teman-Teman. The results of the study show that children actively use the three types of locutions in the context of playing, learning, and interacting with parents. Declarative locutions are used to convey information or self-identity, imperative locutions are used to give instructions or requests, and interrogative locutions are used to obtain information or clarification. These three forms of speech reflect the development of children's functional language and show their involvement in active and meaningful social communication. This study provides a real picture of how children use language as a tool for thinking and interacting in everyday life.

Abstract

The result of a writer's creativity in expressing their imagination, ideas, and feelings to describe the reality of life around them is often referred to as literature. One form of literature that is concise yet rich in meaning is the short story. This study aims to describe the form and function of social deictics used by Asma Nadia in her short story Rembulan di Mata Ibu (The Moon in Mother's Eyes). The approach used is descriptive qualitative with the steps of reading the text in depth, recording relevant data, analyzing the linguistic context, and interpreting the social meaning of the characters' speech. The results show that there are six types of social deictics covering the aspects of gender, age, education, profession, greetings, and nicknames. Each form shows differences in social status and relationships between participants in society. These findings confirm that the use of social deictics not only functions as linguistic markers but also as a reflection of the social and cultural values that exist in society. The uniqueness of this study lies in its in-depth analysis of social relationships in Asma Nadia's short stories, which were examined from a stylistic and pragmatic perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the implicit messages contained in the song Balur by Cik Din Syahri S.M. through a pragmatic approach and to describe its implications for Indonesian language learning at the senior high school level. The research employed a qualitative method with a content analysis approach based on Austin and Searle’s theory of speech acts. The primary data consisted of the lyrics of Balur, analyzed through data reduction, categorization, and thematic interpretation, while supporting data were obtained from interviews with teachers and students to evaluate the song’s relevance as learning material. The findings show that Balur contains illocutionary, expressive, and perlocutionary speech acts reflecting social criticism toward inequality and human suffering. Moral messages are conveyed indirectly through metaphors and repetition that evoke emotional awareness among listeners. The song is proven relevant as a language learning medium because it integrates cultural, social, and character values that are contextually related to students’ lives. The novelty of this study lies in applying pragmatic theory to a regional Lampung song and linking it directly to high school learning contexts, expanding the scope of pragmatic studies from linguistic to educational and cultural domains while enriching pragmatic literacy based on local wisdom.
