Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) has emerged as a trend in numerous countries. TBLT provides a contextualized and student-oriented approach in the EFL classroom that enables students to develop language skills that are relevant to a variety of real-life contexts. However, there is limited research on TBLT beliefs among teachers in Indonesian higher education. This study explored at two English language teacher beliefs concerning the implementation of TBLT in higher education in Indonesia, as well as the contextual factors that impact their beliefs. Qualitative research using a narrative inquiry approach was used to provide descriptive data about the teachers' experiences in task-based language teaching (TBLT). Data were collected through semi-structured online interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. Based on the data analysis, it emerged that teachers' beliefs are instrumental as they influence their teaching approaches and practices related to TBLT. Teachers who believe in the effectiveness of TBLT tend to be more active in implementing it in their teaching. The results also showed a gap between teachers' beliefs and knowledge about TBLT. In addition, contextual factors such as curriculum, social relationships between teachers and students, and institutional support also influence the successful implementation of TBLT in EFL classrooms.

This article aims to describe the result of the instructional analysis of the learning design of Translation I and II courses used at one of the public universities in Jambi. Using the Dick and Carey’s model, this research focuses on two steps analysis: goal analysis and subordinate skills analysis. The data used was the syllabus of Translation 1 and Translation II courses which have been used previously. However, there is a crucial need to evaluate the quality of the learning design to improve the students’ learning outcomes. The results of the analysis showed that 1) the learning objectives need to be described in detail regarding the competencies students will achieve. 2) There is no description of competencies that lead to translation skills, so the portion of learning that emphasizes cognitive aspects is more than psychomotor and affective aspects. 3) Learning materials put more emphasis on the process rather than the products. 4) It does not describe practical translation approaches, methods and strategies but rather the translation process, such as translation history or translation difficulties. 5) Evaluation of translation learning needs to be described in detail because it only focuses on knowledge/cognitive aspects rather than the translation learning process.

In the new normal, the education world is changing to be more challenging and interesting, including exploring the principal's role and improving the competence of teachers. This article aims to explain the principal's role relationship in improving the competence of teachers in the era of a new normal situation. In this study, we administered and collected data in three vocational schools (SMK). The data were obtained from 40 participants using the semi-structured interview, descriptive data analysis, and Chi-square analysis. The results found that the role of the principal reached 50% both as an educator and a school manager. In addition, it also increases the competence of teachers by around 40% less in the academic aspect and professional achievement to enter the era of the new normal. The chi-square analyzed the hypothesis that showed a significant relationship between the principal's role and the improvement of teachers' competence. It confirmed that the principal's role directly related to or affected the improvement of teachers' competence. In conclusion, the integration of both the principal roles and the improvement of teacher competence affect the educational program's success in the new normal situation.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of entrepreneurship education (EE), perceived behavior control (PBC) and entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) on the entrepreneurial intentions of students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. This study used a quantitative method with the help of SEM-PLS to determine the effect of the model under study. Research data was collected through a questionnaire via e-form, which was distributed to Universitas Lambung Mangkurat students from September to December 2022. The instrument was filled with 239 students. The participants were teacher training students at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat who were chosen through a random selection process. The study's findings demonstrated that entrepreneurship education positively influences self-control and self-efficacy. Self-discipline and belief in one's ability to succeed benefit the desire to start a business. Entrepreneurship education does not influence entrepreneurial intentions. Entrepreneurship education was found to influence entrepreneurial self-efficacy and perceived behaviour control positively. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy and perceived behaviour control positively influence entrepreneurial intentions, but entrepreneurship education does not significantly benefit entrepreneurial intents.

Continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers is crucial for enhancing their professional capabilities, particularly in pedagogical skills. Despite its importance, several barriers and challenges impede the effective development of the teaching profession. This study aims to investigate these obstacles through the perceptions of elementary school students and teachers, providing insights into the current state of CPD in education. A survey method was used to gather data from 150 participants, including students and teachers, to explore their perceptions of CPD. The survey focused on various aspects of CPD, including educational practices, learning processes, professional development activities, and supporting mechanisms. The findings revealed significant differences in perceptions between students and teachers across the examined aspects. Teachers predominantly prioritized the learning process in their professional development efforts. Major obstacles identified included a lack of motivation and insufficient intervention for practicing teachers. Additionally, a critical challenge for teachers was the deficiency of high-quality resources necessary to conduct effective research in learning methodologies. The disparity in perceptions between students and teachers highlights the need for more targeted CPD programs that address the specific needs of educators. Enhancing motivation and providing adequate support and resources are essential for overcoming these barriers. Addressing these challenges can lead to more effective teaching practices and ultimately improve the quality of education. This study underscores the importance of understanding the barriers and challenges to CPD from both students' and teachers' perspectives. By prioritizing the learning process and addressing motivational and resource-related issues, stakeholders can better support the professional development of teachers, leading to improved pedagogical outcomes.

Differentiated learning is a way to identify talents and teach according to students' different learning styles. Digital-based differentiated learning is an innovation in elementary school teaching and learning processes. This research aims to determine the use of digital-based differentiated learning models in improving science problem-solving in elementary schools because students tend to experience difficulties understanding the material taught in science subjects, and students are still lacking in developing the ability to solve science questions. This research method used quantitative research methods with the Pre-Experimental Design One Group Pretest-Posttest research model. The research sample consisted of 29 grade IV students who had a learning style of 76% visual, 14% auditory, and 10% kinesthetic. Data collection techniques used tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used the Z test and the Mann-Whitney U test. The research results for the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value of 0.001, meaning 0.001 0.05, so Ho was rejected, and Ha was accepted. Thus, the use of digital-based differentiated learning models can improve science problem-solving in elementary schools. The research findings indicate that digital-based differentiated learning models significantly enhance science problem-solving abilities.
